I don't think time machines are ever going to be invented, because wouldn't we have already had visitors from the future by now? Unless they're undercover time travelers...
Ok I'm no scientist, but i'm infinitely interested in this stuff. It seems to me more likely that a clock runs slower or faster depending where it is in space because of different environmental elements (gravitational pull, vaccuum, pressure, etc) than it is that time itself runs slower or faster. Is there any way to measure the passage of time itself instead to back up that idea? Cuz it seems to me that the clock itself is probably being affected, not time. Though like I said, I'm no scientist
imagine, just imagine what should happen if someone travels BACK in time. then is the future is needed to create the past and the past must create the future to exist. Don't we call this a paradox?
there is no way to time travel! how could you go into the future when the future hasnt happend yet? you cant! Then they use clocks to measure the time in space and on earth then the clock in space goes faster BUT thats not saying that time moves faster in space. What if it could just be the gravity or pressure messing with how the hand on the clock moves or how it works. A clock doesnt read time. All a clock is is a object with numbers on it to help humans know what point of the day it is.
The faster you travel the slower time goes for you. If you were to approach the speed of light time would almost stop. Clocks don't read time they measure it!
Time itself is relative. First ask ourselves what is 'reality'? Time/Space/Matter? When you get down to it, everything that is going to happen, has already happened. Everything that has happened is happening now. Meaning the past, present and future are all happening at the same 'time'. Yet from our point of view (relativity) we can only experience the present. If there were a being that could experience all of physical reality at once, then time itself would be non-existent to that being.
parallel dimensions and parallel universes is the only thing i can think of that would give any shred of proof to the ability of time travel...the only problem i can see is getting back to the right place
@rehan0123 yeah, but you don't need to think of parallel dimensions and universes in the lower dimensions. what is difference between a shortcut and a teleport? there is none. time experience makes the difference. cause if we infinitely shorten our shortcut at one point we could call that "a teleport." so wormholes are folded spacetime that enables us travel to another spacetime point in or vice versa in less time, or in no time. but all in one single timeline. our timeline one single reality.
A space ship or some sort of particle accelerator that could create a wave that is bended downwards in front of the ship and a wave that is bended upwards behind the ship, this would create two waves one in front and one in the back.
So this ship would be riding in between two gravity waves which travel at the speed of light, its not the ship that would be moving but merely space.
There is no need for a wormhole or the ability to reach the speed of light.
So your saying the surfers were on to something all along? Yeah the classic warp drive, it's cool and theoretically possible however the nenergy necessary is staggering
Щоб розуміти що означає теорія відносності треба її розказувати не в попсовій формі а в контексті всієї фізики елементарних частин . При тому потрібно розуміти , що час зараз є лише надумана фізична величина , яка реально не існує .
Wow thats just crazy dude. I mean if we were able to control a wormhole it would be amazing. But just like most other things humans do, it would probably have devastating consequences. lol stupid humanity
Everything has two sides good and bad just like a knife with a blade and a handle. The consequences depend on how we,human beings, use it not cuz it's a new discovery.Only those fools who assume on it.

Just a second ... rocket was having a great speed and it ticked so much slower? Arent mass and energy (kynetical) equivalent?
