Playing Quake 2 on the Nintendo DS

hey guys if you have a dsi you can run quake 2 without gba. Dsi has more RAM and GHZ!

I wonder how fast it would be if you ran it with an R4 that had the ram expansion and the Slot 2 ram expansion

wat if i put a gba game in slot 2 to like grand theft auto advance and then put the quake on r4 then will quake ds work

no, it won't.  It has to be a ram/memory expansion pak

Wow, is it really that laggy and slow? it looks almost unplayable.

yeah it is, but it is somewhat playable, I'm just amazed that it even runs on the system and is not a complete slide show, as Quake 1 barely runs on the DS either.

So it's not the M3 Real nor the RAM causing it to lag? Quake 2 just doesn't run that well on the DS period?

it wont run...on the quake2DS site it says that it is impossible to run quake2DS without Slot 2 RAM u cant just use R4

Thanks! That's the same card I use, but my Chinese version (modded to English) did not include the added memory. Heck, even the included rumble pak knockoff didn't work.
