It'll be interesting to see if he ever fights in the US for the UFC, because that would mean regular drug testing. I'm not one that is convinced that he's on drugs, but considering he fights the majority in Japan, and rarely fights in the US, and given his incredible size difference from a few years ago, it would be interesting. He's an amazing fighter though, and it's not like it's impossible for a guy to be built like that if he has the frame etc. He was quite young when he was fighting LHW.

@tubytootoo Not another one.... All participants for a K1 tournament are tested for illegal substances, using tests far more sophisticated than the primitive stuff used in the US. If you can get away with it in Japan, you'll never get caught in the US.

For instance Brock Lesnar. Obviously on steroids, but strangely enough we rarely see him fight outside of the US, and never in Europe. He knows he'd likely get caught with what remains undetected in the states.

This Judge it's name is Kakuda, stopped the fight very early. He did the same last year when Shilt was against Hari, wenn Shilt knocked out Hari 3. times in the first round the 3. time was before the first time break immediatly, so Hari could had continue the fight, the same with Aerts now. These are very bad decisions of this judge.

While I agree that a part of kickboxing (and K1 acc.) can be seem back in MMA, you really can't compair the two.

Overeem is the first one to be champion in both, that clearly says enough. Overeem had vicious strikes, knees, hooks, etc but he is also a BEAST on the ground with some of the very best ground and pound.

Coupled with his incredible strength and size, it just makes him into one of the best MMA fighters in the game today.
