  • also if u have a laptop you can look up than manufacture number and most of the time they have ways of getting arround the default the hotel makes. worked for me once

  • Default passwords are useful in the IT industry. You go to a new client, they don't know their router password. 8 times out of 10, you can try the default for that particular model and boom, you're in and they think you're a genius.

  • Theres also a way to open them by shorting some contacts at the rear. I'm not sure exactly how, but I was in a hotel and the battery in my safe went flat. In order to get it open after the battery was replaced the guy shorted some contacts with his screwdriver. Admittedly he needed to drill out some rivits to remove a panel to access the contacts.
