@TheKx250r Yes, If you do some research, acetone in diesel does in fact work, although the amount needed is slightly less, and a lot of people seem to do good with 2.5oz per 10gal, although you will need to experiment and see for yourself. And the other thing I'm tired of hearing is IT DOESN'T work on the first tank! If you really think about it it's kind of a no shit thing, it's not mixed, and so it's not going to work well. Just keep putting it in and you'll see results.
GasHole full documentary is now available on youtube revealing oil companies conspiring against the 100mile per gallon car...and the disappearance of Tom Vogel inventor of the vapour engine...
Did you know that if you add 2 cups of sugar to your oil it will improve your gas milage by 100% ?? This is because most japanese and american cars have a faulty diabetic converter after being driven only 700 miles on low octane fuel. This trick works every time and is gaurenteed to make the engine seize, to have this problem, follow the directions !!
first of all u dont put a bunch of acetone u put a small amount if u put alot of acetone then yes it will mess up ur car so if ur stupid then put a gallon of acetone with about 10 gallons of gas or if u really want to be a dumbass why dont you pour a bottle of rubbing alcohol into ur tank hahahaha go ahead try it or shut the fuck up about ooo it will mess up my poor gay ass car

Auto makers spend millions on R&D to make their products more fuel efficient. If adding acetone increased fuel efficiency without damaging the car, it would be in the owners manual. Acetone is corrosive to rubber.
Thanks, this was a fun explanation of a very important discovery. I tried it and got about %15 better gas mileage! I couldn't believe it. I funnel about 3 oz. (18 gal tank) into an old fuel treatment bottle and use it over and over each time I fill up. This is great for cleaner emissions too! This will not become well advertised because the oil industry won't make $. I'll keep using it. I've heard many cases of people doing this and it cleans car parts without damage.
A word of warning. Any substance which you put into the gas tank of your car and which wasn't designed to be put there by the manufacturer can cause damage to your engine..This includes acetone which will not improve your fuel mileage in any way. You'll just be paying for gasoline and then shelling out more for useless acetone.
im using this at a 500 to one ratio..thats 2 ml per litre (uk)....ive tested it countless times....my bike loves it and has gone from 47mpg average to 54mpg average...one run returned 62mpg..its safe and it works...those who talk shit about it havent tried it..everyone ive told about it is sticking to it
@rbandgh3 i was shooting sarcasm toward all the people that complain about emissions. we all emit carbon dioxide and methane, so to solve their unbased global warming issues we'd all have to die. i'm not a tree hugger and i don't believe in global warming. i do believe that people are easily deceivable and will fight with all their might something they cannot prove.
Acetone is an emulsifier of sorts, it will mix with water just fine, as well as fuel. However..
When I mixed a few drops of water into fuel, obviously the water stayed at the bottom. I found adding acetone will allow SOME of the water to mix with the fuel.
Acetone was attracted to the fuel by 95%, and the rest thinned the water. As for solvency, it will help clean out carbon from intakes. The small amount used in the fuel won't bother seals or sensors, but help remove damaging water.. :)
Agreed! I added a small half capful (about 20ml) to my mower fuel and filled it with 0.5 litres. Usually in hot or cold weather after priming with a few pumps it blows smoke and caughs. But after adding that tiny amount of acetone it started easier and blew no smoke. I calculated the amount of fuel in my car tank and added the acetone. The difference was almost immediate - even on a cold engine. Be aware though that different engines will react differently, also the type of fuel E5 95 oct.
k but i made a hydrogen fuel cell and that work so much better. an all it uses is water, electricity.. car battery, and baking soda or sodium. safe about 40% on gas!
a supercharger forces more air into the cylinder during the gas/air mix to improve power and gas mileage, which should have little bearing on what acetone would be doing. so the answer would be yes.
Actually a supercharged uses a lot of the engines performance meaning that more is wasted on powering the supercharger lowering the fuel economy. Turbo chargers are a lot better as they don't require any where near as much power from the engine to run.
hmm nice video and I like the idea! but the fact that it is not fully tested and the fact that you could make more damage than good is actually quit a risk! I believe this works better on all older models of cars. for all newer cars with computers would probably get
(beeped) up for its all done over pc unlike older models where its simple. air suply-gas-chamber...and combustion! but heck why not! I will think of trying it!
My truck did better and its the latest model available: a 2008 Ford Ranger. Though I do believe you are right about a vehicles computer. The way the injectors are programmed is why you see varying results between manufacturers as opposed to linear results as you see in older model cars. (Pre 96)
I tried this in my 1999 Corolla. It REDUCED my gas mileage. This was also attempted on Mythbusters.

@daschlag Isn't gasoline corrosive to rubber too. Really, I dont know.
GasGuzzler2004 8 months ago
@GasGuzzler2004 No, your fuel lines are made of rubber. Gasoline can move through them for years without harm, but acetone will corrode them.

That brand of acetone is ONLY 95 to 98% pure. It has water in it and water is very bad in the fuel system

Gas is a mild solvent when compared to acetone,
The term small amount is quite vague a percentage or ounces
per gallon should be given, many over the counter gas additives
are nothing more than an acetone mix with flashy packaging,
Excessive amounts could damage fuel lines, pumps, injectors or
Swell-up carburetor gaskets and seals,
In a worse but rare case, you could catch your vehicle on fire,
My advice to increase mileage;
Maintain your vehicle and drive under 65 MPH

Acetone releases more carbon in to the atmosphere causeing worse harm then just fuel only

i guess we should just kill everybody then since we all release carbon dioxide and methane. go plant a tree to even out the carbon level and shut up.
