@TengeraMusic You're thanking me for disliking your music??? I am so sorry for not realizing that this was "your music". But you've failed to realize that this is the stuff I listen to as well. My freakin you tube username is a mix between my name "reed" and Jaco's last name "Pastorius" I'M A HUGE JACO FAN. therefore, i should be allowed to talk about how I feel about a particular song that he plays I wasn't dissing him, just commenting. You're acting so immature trololololololololololololololol
@TengeraMusic dude, yer dumb. I love jaco i transcribe all his stuff. he's so awesome. but he's definitely trying to pull off the whole hendrix star spangled banner thing. Jaco has said multiple times what an influence hendrix was to him and he's played straight up hendrix tunes in the past. "third stone from the sun" recognize it? its not an insult to say that hes imitating hendrix in this video. he's building off of what hendrix lacked, skill. go die tengeramusic
@SwedishBass I think the tone is more because the louder signal is the direct signal, probably from a DI box. The distorted signal sounds more roomy, which means its probably coming from microphones in the room rather than being DI'd.
You know, the closest you can get to knowing a musician, is to learn their music. I can say in attempting to learn Jaco's music, I can say he is a genius. He is breath taking.

Nah his fretless had an ebony fretless board :) and he didn't want it eaten out (hehe, his wording i think) so he only played it in a concert.
