S90XS vs S90ES The Best Voice PIANO of Yamaha

The Yamaha S90XS has MORE features than the S90ES.

When I upgraded from my Yamaha P80 I tried every single VST plugin available and every digital piano on the market. Bought a Yamaha CP50 - played it side by side with my P80 through a pair of Genelecs then promptly put it back in the box. Same with the GEM RPX. I stumbled onto an S90ES demo and that was it. Found one used for $1300 and am loving it. I set up very useful 4 way layers - bass/ride and piano/string or jazz guitar, trumpet, etc... Great for working with a singer. GO S90ES!

s90es has a lot more dynamics !!! i regret trading in my s90es to s90xs today :(

Il natural dell'S90ES è fantastico,l'ho avuta e la conosco molto bene.Ha un suono vellutato dolce e uniforme ma nelle ottave alte peccava un pò di personalità.Il rumore dei martelletti era inesistente.Il piano della nuova S90XS che ho attualmente è diverso ma nella parte centrale e nelle note alte è molto divertente e realistica. Un po plasticosa nella parte bassa ma ho risolto con una emulazione del Natural per i nostalgici dell'S90ES. I suoni rendono molto in LIVE è sono spettacolari.

Francamente io preferisco il pianoforte natural dell'S90ES.

Quello dell'S90XS mi pare più "finto" e comunque mi sembra una

riproduzione di un pianoforte di un plugin hardware roland SRX-11. Mi dispiace, ma io l'S90ES la considero migliore qualitativamente dal punto di vista dei suoni!

You can here the real acustics of the piano with the XS and the wood hitting the strings too the ES is nice to but itsmissing that

The ES piano sound is nice, but it sounds TOO full for my taste. XS has a better balance.

Al primo impatto confrontando il suono del S90ES potrebbe apparire, più gommoso, meno naturale, ma vi garantisco che usandolo un pò più a fondo, se ne apprezzano le più ampie sfumature timbriche, ottenibili nlle esecuzioni. Io li ho avuti entrambi e dopo un paio di mesi di prove riconosco che la Yamaha con S90XS ha prodotto un bel gioiellino.

Sono d'accordo con te. Devo dire che il suono natural s della S90ES è molto delicato. Però io che le ho avute tutte e due, anche i suoni dalla S90XS hanno dalla loro parte più nervo e più realismo sia sulle note alte che sulle note basse.

Il suono dei martelletti, il rumore del rilascio dei tasti è molto realistico, cosa che sulla S90ES non esiste.

@DJEKO707 I agree with you. I must say that the sound of natural s S90ES is very delicate. But I've had all that and two, the sounds from S90XS have on their side more and more nerve realism is on high notes than on low notes.

The sound of hammers, the noise of the issuance of keys is very realistic, which does not exist on S90ES.

@osfari take note that the s90xs has 8 elements + XA while the es only got 4 so you have more room on the XS

Only on the high keys I prefer S90XS, but no more.
