  • As for the new spiderman, don't worry about the first person view of him, i do believe that was just for the trailer, to make it look cool, so that at the end when he jumps at the window, it looks pretty cool, essentially a wild attempt at gaining the audience's attention.

  • First off, i agree with you on that they spent too much time on him being scrawny, it's actually half way into it that he becomes captain america!

Also, the vaporising guns were ridiculous, and the fact that the battle scene had soldiers just charging towards the enemies only to get splattered was plain dumb.

Lastly, the fact that he had to crash the plane at the end was stupid, why not just turn it around? Or try to crash in water instead?

So many things that when i watched i thought "why?" -.-

  • Yeah, I know the video is trolling us on Youtube front page for a long time, but doing the right thing is not simple.

What is the right thing? Look into the great video from harvard entitled: Justice: What's The Right Thing To Do? Episode 01 "THE MORAL SIDE OF MURDER

It is on the first page. Trolling you.

  • Yeah scott, I agree I'm definitely not looking forward to the new Spider-Man. During the preview my wife and I kept looking at each other with puzzled looks like..."Didn't they already do this??" Totally dumb to redo I think.

  • @alexia324 you would be to pussy to join your military anyway so stfu your just jealous america has the best armed forces

  • 10:35- it was his father.

  • Awsome movie. Better than HP7!

  • So he does own a shirt!!!:O

  • Nice review Scott, I'm not a big fan of the Captain but I thought it was a good movie.

As for the new Spiderman or Mirrors Edge the movie as I call it, I don't plan on seeing it. The first person city view, hence my Mirrors Edge reference, it annoyed me in the game and I think it will take away from the movie. If I want first person parkour then I'd go out and do it.

  • I am however excited about Spider-man. In Spider-man, they wont just show it thru his eyes tho lol that was for the preview

  • I agree sir!

  • scott herman ur in denial !! and guys i just finished watching the movie and if ur not american like i am (italy :D ) ud think that these americans just keep saving the frekkin world where the world should be saved from them ,, i want my euro union captain to kick his redneck ass GRRR ***bitch***

  • @alexei324 If you hate the Americans so much, why do you guys try to copy us make the euro zone into "the United States of Europe"?

  • @AnonymousMoi3 it s a union bitch it s not one country ruled by one president , and let me tell copy is all u do in u.s of .a ,,, and i dont hate americans but in the movies u always be the good and the soviets and nazis are the bad and that makes me sick FYI it was the soviets that drove away the nazis not frekkin americans and like the pearl harbor movie u show the jappanese bombing u but when it comes to throwing a nuclear bomb over them no no that thing is not included bleah

  • Comment removed

  • @alexei324 the only movie that should take credit is Valkyrie which was awsum other that tom looks hawwwt in uniform hehehe :p

  • @alexei324 Since when were you Japanese? And the nuclear bombing is shown in documentaries... Would you rather the USA had not bombed them? Imperial Japan was vicious for what they did to the Chinese, Vietnamese, and other people in the pacific area. I hear you like French music. We saved their ass in the war so you can listen to their music today... And I know it's a Union, but you're trying to make into states to copy us and save your unstableass Euro currency.

  • @AnonymousMoi3 hehehe that s true vive la france:p .... and for once i agree with u that EU nationalisim is going histerical ,like i voted no on the new costitution bcoz we will be obligated to support lazy ass contry like greece :) = unstable euro :p ,,, and i see u like boys kissin righttt onnnn :)

  • @alexei324 So it looks like we have come to an agreement. And yes, I love seeing hot guys kiss. Not just any guys, only hot guys. lol

  • @AnonymousMoi3 so u wanna kiss me ? ;)

  • @alexei324 Oh wow, this just got a whole more private. Check your personal messages for my reply...

  • Scott, thanks for the review, but you're a brat! Your comments re: what happens to Bucky are spoilers for those of us who saw the movie BUT didn't know the rest of the Captain America story!

  • Thanks for the review! I'm so behind on super hero flicks this summer, need to catch up. I'm looking forward to the Avengers and the new Spider-Man so hope those both do well!

  • Seriously that movie was awful!!!

  • Captain america is shockingly bad.

  • your such a DORK man!!!! LOL I liked the aspect of honest woking ethnical individuals. That is why I joined the military. I live by the saying do not mistake Kindness for weakness.

  • concerning the new spiderman movie. I think if they use first person perspective in moderation it shouldn't be too bad. you were right in that no one wants to see the origin of spiderman again. they're going to have to tell the same story but just change the storytelling method. its not going to break box office records but it should do alright.

  • @KingdomheartsII Its Chris evans not Ryan

  • OMG you have the shield!!!!! you're officially my hero!!!!!!!!!!

  • I personally knew very little about the hero aside from the basics so when it started with the whole giant ship in the middle of nowhere my first thoughts were ``Crap, did I take a wrong turn into the showing of Cowboys vs Aliens....``

Anyways, nice review. I agree about the whole message of ``Goodness`` as it made me actually feel something walking out of there, until I it rush hour ;)

  • about the spider movie DEFINITELY I think the movie might not do as well in box office and seeing through his eyes.

  • They shouldn't have used Ryan Evans. He's already been used as the Human Torch in F4. I really don't like it when they recycle characters, hot or not.

  • -CONT.-You're right - the way they took him from weak to powerful was very moving; I almost teared up a couple of times. After-serum, the pace got progressively faster, resulting in too many skipped details and unsatisfying battle scenes. They should've developed the relationships with Bucky and Peggy more. It would have made CA's loss more poignant and powerful. Stan Lee had a great line. Things like the autopilot button (in English) were stupid, and RS's makeup needed to be more realistic.

  • Finally saw it. My thoughts: really liked the beginning where the red skull retrieves the cube. Liked how they made the weak Steve a real person despite his physical disadvantage and not a nerdy whiny stereotype. But I think they made him almost too physically weak. Stanley Tucci was great and added credibility and believability to the whole project, as did Tommy Lee Jones.

  • i always think u sing like jon mclaughlin...

  • scotty, you ARE captain america in my mind. you always fight the good fight. you are always on the right (good) side of every issue. in case you don't know, chris evans' brother is gay and he is totally hot, as well. you might not know this, but gay men completely support their straight friends. you are a friend. peace and love, muchacho.

  • @ScottHermanFitness( CONTINUED) >> i know that they are going to make an avengers movie because i say a wallpaper type of pic in this fixster but theres no trailer for it yet i happened to see the spiderman trailer in that app and i was kinda disappointed because its like a remake of the same thing just a new guy they should of left it as is but who knows i just hope they can do a good avengers possably because i forgot what movie it was but mr stark was forming a team in the very end

  • @ScottHermanFitness i would like to adress some stuff too like i dont know if it was just me but around the begining of the movie i could of sworn i say a frozen shield? also i think they rushed some of the fight seen like when they were at war i agree that they could have made him look stronger but at least they continued to keep it real but i was great also

  • lol. No offence but isn't a review for people that haven't seen the movie??

    Nice shirt btw :D

  • Thought the movie was really good. Love Captain America. Now Batman and Captain America... my favorites.

  • Whos buckey and what happens to him, i would like to know, i dont know crap about CA.

  • the movie was absolutely horrible, the story line was pathetic lmao!! fuck i was so dissapointed.

  • dude, those weapons were made from the tesseract, the cube that red skull found at the beginning

  • you are so fucking adorable.

  • I was in the film and i cant wait to see it...so frustrating i havent seen it yet so im turning this off yet......... but thoght id let you know :)

  • man am from iraq and really really i like ur videos workout so thanx dude keep it up and i will see that film for u hahah take care dude

    iraqi fan.

  • dc comics or marvel comics????

  • @chipajamba123

    They both suck nowadays.

  • and the spiderman movie i'm not too thrilled about. i hated toby maguire as spiderman. always something off about him. and the first movie is now hokey. and the third never should have been made. topher grace is NOT venom. i think i could have played a better spiderman. i'm already built like him. BOOM

  • Hi Scott, I just watched "Captain America". It's good. There was only one thing bother me which is I tamped to see your face all the time. Regardless of the size, I think your image may fit even more.

  • This is actually pretty right on. Probably a half hour too long, but worth it for the Avengers preview. THAT looks like it could be pretty badass

  • @TheTwillT thanks man, glad you agree :)

  • Wohoo!! I thought I was the only one who noticed the similarity of the vaporizing guns in Transformer:Dark of the Moon and Captain America: The First Avenger.

  • Great review but the war was in the 40's

  • Great review but the war was in the 40's

  • And another comment, sorry haha.

I Just watched the new Spiderman Trailer. I have to agree with you now, it looks just like a redone version of the first movie. And the 1st person sequence looks so fake. It looks boring and undramatic, spidermans about flipping, missing things by just an inch and pushing the limits of his abilities. I don't think they captured his "acrobatics" in this, which leaves out his character.

  • One other thing, I think they did a fairly good job with Cap'n Americas Suit/costume, his new one. But I think they should of introduced it better. Because I mean, I know it's just a movie, but for world war 2, he does look kinda ridiculous running around in a suit like that.

I think they should of made a better reason for him to wear the suit, I like how they introduced spidermans suit and ironmans A LOT more. : ) Just my 2 cents. Or dimes for you americans :p

  • I barely know anything bout Capn America, being Aussie too Haha, I also wanted to know why he could just rip the skin off of his face, i mean you guys might know, but I wanted that more clear in the movie. And how capn America's shield works!

Spiderman, I love seeing him first person go through the buildings, because fight scenes are so over done. It also gives a great perspective of how terrifying it would be to fly around skyscrapers and shiz like that.

  • Hey Scott, is it just me or did you think the action wasn't as "actiony" when Steve dawned the cartoonesque suit, and saved the PoWs? Otherwise, I thought it was really good!

  • Good stuff bro!

  • so awsm!

  • lmao who would pull the fire alarm during a movie

  • youre so pedantic

  • You're a smart man Scott, not just some dude with muscles. You know you're stuff. Great review, dull movie ha.

  • thought the same thing about Thor... I guess they didn't give him enough time to put the size back on...

  • Cute shirt Scott. Looks great on you.

  • It was awful. The characters were boring. Chris Evans was so miscast I don't know what it is exactly about him he is just so boring for lack of a better word. Red Skull put me to sleep speaking so slow and tame. The other characters sucked. I wish Cap was fighting Nazis instead of goofy HYDRA soldiers. Man what a waste of money. Avengers will suck too I bet

  • @bennyfifty I agree with some of what you said. I wish Captain America would fight Nazis not HYDRA soldeirs becuase yes they did look weird and silly. But it wasn't awful. It was good, nothing more nothing less. It had a great love story, great ass kicking, great stroy, pretty good acting and it followed the comics pretty well. 3.5/5. And The Avengers has been in production for more than 2 years. A lot of work has and still is going into The Avengers. It will be a high quality film.

  • i went to see the movie tonight and it broke about 1 and a half hours in :(

  • I think the movie was kinda cheesy most of the scenes were very predictable and the bad guy looked like the bad version of The Mask. I think they could've done a much deeper story but everything is kinda flat and forward and some scenes were extremely corny. But hey, that's just me

  • YOU RUINED IT FOR ME!! WTF!!! (jk i wasnt going to watch it anyway I dont have time)

  • i with you on the spiderman reboot i really dont want to see the origin again and i dont like the idea of 1st person sceens

  • you didn't talk about CHRIS EVANS :(

  • did chris evans do a good job playin the captain america?

  • WOO HOO!!! 13:47 Scott gives me a shout out! lol! YOU RULE SCOTT! :)

  • the movie was "alright" for me, not the greatest but it served it's purpose. if you wanna see a TOTALLY different side of hugo weaving tho scott.. check otu ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT where he plays a drag queen riding a bus across the australian outback.. fricking hysterical!

  • It was cheesy lol

  • dear scott,

I am a huge super hero guy. i know all the heroes of DC and also Marvel. i was 203 pounds 2 years ago getting no girls what so ever. now i'm 157 pounds and girls are all over me. I just wanted to say thank you for all your video's that you have posted. It truely means alot.

ps. i'm still a nerd when it comes to heroes

  • You're awesome, Scotty!!

  • Webshooters are STUPID. Who's dumb idea was it to remake Spiderman without the radioactive spider?

  • I agree Scott! It did seem like Chris Hemsworth ( Thor ) slimmed down a little bit in the avengers, but maybe it was just the camera angle or something, I guess we will have to wait and see if he retained all that mass when he filmed for Thor ha :)

  • Hugo weaving. The major badass: Megatron!!!!! Oh yeah!!!!!

  • the ending sucked... it was sad :(

  • i think scott can fit perfect as playing a role of captain america!

  • Scotty, you're just too cute. Love this review!!!

  • If your Australian thumbs up.. I'm just curious how many Aussies watch Scott Herman videos..

  • @NoongaFindAphone there are a TON of you believe it or not! I can check the data in the backend of my channel! I love the Aussies! :)

  • @ScottHermanFitness Awesome mate! Alot of people at my local fitness first gym talk about your workout routines down here... You must come visit Australia soon!

  • @NoongaFindAphone haha i had to read your comment twice^^ because im from austria :D and i bet 0.1% of his viewers are austrian^^ but it doesnt matter from where you are because we are all hermanites!

  • @ulkord True that

  • seriously now ure reviewing movies too....

  • @castmitigation ummm... and whats wrong with that? Trying to down on my level of intelligence? That's a pretty dopey thing to do botha!

  • it wasnt exactly citizen kane lol

  • It annoys me that they are making a new spiderman movie.

After watching the trailer It feels way too similar to the movie series that only ended a few years ago.

Sure, the first spiderman with Tobey Maguire came out in 02, but is 9 years really enough time to remake a movie?

    I dont think so...

  • captain america was the fucking best

  • thumbs up if you think Scott should be Captain America

  • Oh Scott, I hate to correct you, you're better than me in every way, but Bucky is played by Dominic cooper and the 2nd world war was between 1939 & 1945 so the 50's is a bit late :) I'd trade my life for yours anyway, even if it meant not knowing about the war! Can't wait to see the movie when it's out here (uk). Plus, you have better abs than Chris Evans :)

  • @ta81uk its all good brotha :)

  • Where's captain australia??

  • Hey scotty...looks like you are the captain america...!

  • Why are you reviewing your own movie?

  • @PetahPo for more hits ;) lolol

  • I really enjoyed the movie! I agree with your Thor observation..his hair looked matted (I'm wondering if he was CGI'd for the trailer which would answer why the trailer was so fast) The kid in the water was funny. He epitomized or displayed the can-do attitude that allowed Steve Rogers to do what he could. About the vaporizing guns--I think their existence proved that stopping Red Skull was of utmost importance and surprised that Hydra was not using them exclusively when the POW's escaped.

  • Scott shouldn't have "played" Captain America because Scott ALREADY IS Captain America!

  • I think you missed the point... America has better steriods than Germany

  • I think the audience needed to really know the character before the change in order to really appreciate him as a hero. B/c he's a hero at heart w/ an iron will, he always was, even before the super soldier serum. & the mussels & ability he attains only help him do what his heart knows is right. That's one thing I didn't get about Cap. until I saw the movie. A lot of heroes become heroes from the choices they make after they realize they are strong. Cap. never changed even after he got powers.

  • @Nephilim01 I agree, but they still could have cut down the time and used like 10 more minute to show more of his transition which is vital to the character. He didnt magically learn how to box and throw his shield!

  • @ScottHermanFitness To that I kind of agree. I think they should have showed a bit more of his training. I think in the movie they just alluded to the possibility that he just "picked it up" like in the chase for the assassin where he used the Cab Door as a shield & I believe threw it.

  • @ScottHermanFitness The boxing is still up in the air though. Maybe he learned how to box from his father but was never good b/c he was so small? Like you said, questions like that could have been answered if they just added 10 more min to the movie.

  • @Nephilim01 yeah, must have been a side effect of the serum that we didnt know about! :)

  • I'm not the biggest Captain America fan but I really enjoyed the movie. I feel that it was very well done and had great choices across the board from visuals, to dialog, to actors. I love comics but, like I said, I'm not the biggest Cap. fan. I'm not really interested in the unrealistically good heroes, I find anti-hero's more interesting.

I also, unfortunately disagree with your opinion that they should have spend less time with Steve Rodgers pre-super soldier serum.

  • Who's this person? He's wearing a shirt.

  • I think the dialogue was better in the beginning than the rest of the movie. They should have made his head smaller when he was skinny though, you could tell it wasn't his body. I also think they over-explained his use of a shield--> when he picked the garbage can lid and when he used the taxi door. They didn't need both those scenes. I felt that chris evans also lacked any sort of charisma. I wish he had played the character more like robert downey did tony stark

  • and in reference to spider man, I think Andrew Garfield is not a good fit for spider man at all. He feels too "pretty boy-ish" to me. When toby macguire did it he was perfectly cast because you could see him as a nerd. It seems that a lot of movies are going towards this "twilight" style casting where it doesn't matter how well an actor fits a role, they just want someone young and attractive. I don't want to see the first movie over again. they should have made it the 4th movie.

  • I didn't know much about Captain America before going to the movie. Didn't really know what to expect. I agree with your review.Altough, I think that seeing captain america struggle in one of his fight would have been nice.It brings another mood wich can be exciting. Even if he was weak before, I think it's not a reason to make him super duper strong and be the Ultimate fighter that can't be defeated. But that is just my opinion. Overall, I liked it. Thanks for the review Scott, Love ya brotha!

  • i think scott should have played captain america

  • @ThatLonelyLoner lolol

  • @Derevko32 for sure brotha. thanks for watching/commenting :)

  • OH IT LOOKS GOOD.

  • I have to disagree with you about the scenes where they show him being frail.Ithink they show how his character developes.Stanley Tuchi was also great in this and I really like the scene where he's having a drink with Steve because it really drives home my point. He's says something like "A man who's known power his whole life doesn't respect it".Steve Rogers doesn't like bullies and wants to protect the weak because he's been there.

  • @homoguy563 well yes it was an important scene, but they could have condensed the veginning just a taaad bit! :)

  • I loved the movie....better than Harry Potter and Transformers 3.By the way, where did you get that shield and how much did it cost, Scott?I want one.

  • Respond to this video... I bought it at Forbidden Planet in NYC for 400$ :)

  • @OhTheHermanity Damn.I'm on their website and I don't see it.When did you get it?Was it the only one?

  • so I wasn't the only one who was wondering what year it was during the iceberg scene

  • @officialIvan well then I guess I was right, they didnt say anything! lol

  • Hey Scott, I watched all your videos, learned alot from you dude.

  • @redrosecross thank brotha! :)

  • Scott, good review.I loved the movie it was everything I'd hoped for.As for Spiderman all they have shown is a teaser trailer.I think Andrew will do a GREAT job as Spiderman better than Toby!!I've really been looking forward to this movie.I think toby's Spiderman was good but not great. As this is my favorite Superhero I always went to see it.Give this movie a chance.u only saw a spot.(teaser)Thor was great as well. And I also thought Green Lantern was great, they followed the comic,Green Hornet, bad

  • @mmikemc i will give it a chance. I promise :)

  • Your shirt is so B.A!!!! lol

  • @MrBha07 thanks man!

  • It was an okay movie, I thought it was very cliched for a heroic movie.

  • It was worth seeing Chris Evans without his shirt...That man is so hot.....I really enjoyed the movie..Chris brought Steve Rogers to life...

  • The comic book Peter Parker was always tall and lanky, so Toby Maguire never really fit the bill. I'm looking forward to the re-launch with Andrew Garfield. Also, they hint at some dark stuff having to do with how Peter's parents died.

  • @pqnguyen yeah I noticed that too, in the beginning, it must go into the plot of the villain in some way

  • I agree, I will not be seeing the new spider man. It's too soon.

  • you really are a huge nerd lol...

  • @weeandy2008 you bet your ass I am ! :)

  • I think you pretty much nailed it all correctly in your review. The only other thing I had a bit of a problem with, was that I didn't think the almost complete lack of briefing him on just what to expect in the chamber when doing the transformation to him was realistic. It was almost like he went into it blind...and the lack of any discussion about any details of that process bothered me.

  • @StevenSWM Thanks man. I appreciate the feedback :) and yeah, they could have explained it a bit more.. also.. they injected the serum into all the major muscle groups and such.. in HULK when they made Emil Blonsky a super soldier... he got a 12inch needle in his spine... OUCH! and they didnt seem to care too much about injecting the blue fluid into his LEGS!! :)

  • i would much rather die from that vaporizing gun than a regular bullet haha

  • I agree about the shield. It's almost like its own character, and an important part of the Captain America image. They should have focused on it more, especially him learning to how to use it so well.

  • @mark0s3000 yeah, im glad you agree. I was like.. YEAH THE SHIELD....awwwwh :/

  • there are a couple reasons why they are redoing spiderman, toby is getting to old, in the comics it never went this far into his life and another reason is the actress that played aunt may died in real life R.I.P

  • @FalL0utB0yDRUMA oh no!! I loved her :( she was an amazing Aunt May... I guess we can only wait and see how it comes out :)

  • I havent seen it yet. Im going to soon though. What do you rate it out of 10 Scott??

  • @wrestlinfan8388 well, there are like I said for sure some things I would change... but then again.. EVERYONE has an opinion. its a 10 for me, they stayed true to the character and what he stands for 100%

  • @OhTheHermanity Thanks. That means it would probably be a 10 for me too then. I like Captain America ALMOST as much as you do it seems. haha. Best super hero without a doubt.

  • I think the reason why they showed him being weak for a long time, is because they really need to assert his personality, before the other movies come out, like avengers. Because those movies will have little time to show every super hero's personality. So since it just jumps right into the avengers (where that's the next time we are going to see him). I liked everything about the movie.

  • @Tearvon that is actually a really good point! :)

  • Every you just said about Captain America, I agree with, and about the POV scene from the Spiderman reboot/remake, the only thing my mind could register was "meh."

  • @OhTheHermanity i cant wait for the avengers movie how about you.

  • @chevycamaro3535 I am PUMPED!!!! for it!

  • Scott Herman said Dick 8:30

  • I thought the film was great!!! I think they had a good formula of direction, actors, and overall the story really followed the character instead of mindless action.....still cool though!!! I have to agree about the Spiderman thing being very annoying and to sit through another origin story, is like paying to see a movie I just saw just a couple of years ago....very lame!!!

  • I agree.. they spent too much time with him being weak and scrawny. We get it, he's a really nice person... let's get to the action already! Also, they should have shown him frozen solid in the beginning.. and they could have done something more like the cartoon like you were talking about. I thought the costume was really awesome.. even cooler than yours, Scott... haha. The Avengers trailer was sweet, and now i can't wait until next May so i can go see it too.

  • Agree about everything you said about spider man, I like it when they show him flipping around too.

  • So when are you going to post the videos of the bike ride?

  • @geedunk13 As soon as I finished editing them.. not gonna lie.. all the content I have is a it overwhelming!

  • I liked the movie, but I agree with you on how the spent too much time on him being weak. I didn't like how they didn't show them painting the shield or the making of the uniform either though! It just showed the silver shield, and then 2 seconds later he's got the painted shield and new costume! I was like what the heck!

  • @Sm00thGreekGuy yeah, showing them paint the shield would have been SICKKK!! lets hope for DELETED SCENES! :)

  • the part where he dress up to make the character Captain America and got into the tights to do plays reminded me of you O_o

  • of course you saw captain america on opening week

  • I think its refreshing to see Scott wearing a shirt...oh yeah, good review!!

  • @tonybud2 thanks brotha!

  • I liked
