  • i cant find your iso boot menu your at i searched Stuff\isos and it said it didnt exist

  • i like virtualbox..simple and fast...

  • What OS should I use on my VM, Windows 7 or Ubuntu?

  • Uhhh The saying is "over 9000" so your 8800 short... But A for Effort! xD I LOLed

  • Lol I wonder if she watches DBZ.

  • For some reason, my VMWare setup turns gray. I can't click/do anything.

I could install it, but I had to clean install my PC. I searched for so many solutions on Google, but nobody seems to have the correct solution for me. Running as administrator doesn't change anything. Also, virtualization is enabled in my computer's BIO. Does somebody have a solution for me? I'd be very very thankful.

  • I agree with Justic3h. You should not say this show is for hackers. Do you even know what a hacker is? I used to hack and phreak in the 80's before we has IBM PC's. used to hack and phreak Ma Bell, make free calls local and LD, get free calls from pay phones, use 3rd party calling before it was offered as a paid for feature. Got the info right off their unprotected unix servers with an acoustic modem. Ha! I want you to give some good hacking info like that, if not stop using the term. VBox 4 ME

  • VirtualBox is free and open source VM Ware Player is NOT open source VM Ware Player is free, but VM Ware it's self is not free ... VirtualBox is the best for me.

  • VirtualBox without a doubt!

  • @TheHanzoShinobi Really, much prefer vmware. Just because it's free and opensource?

  • Virtual Box is the more mature and complete of the comparison. The ability to run more than one guest Os, appeals to me because one can use different OSes without having to pause and restart. It does however depend on the amount of RAM your machine possesses to get the best performance that is close to seamless.

  • Virtual Box is my favorite use it at home but have to use VMware in my Gymnasium.

  • Virtual Box, rocks... compared the too and Virtual box takes it home..!!!!

  • Virtual box of course! It's free and I get to open as many OS's as I want. While I don't usually boot more than one at a time in Virtual Box, It's nice knowing I could.

  • I like vitualbox moar

  • Last time I checked, VMware's sourcecode was not available - so it's not free, at all.

  • vmware sucks...takes huge system resources and slows down host as well as virtual os......virtual box rocks.....!!

  • I dont use netflix. I TORRENT

  • using msconfig or cleaner

  • dont screw up dbz quotes thats rude..

  • @ryan8012 You do realize that that quote is famous because it was a screw up of the original text in the manga. It was supposed to make it more exciting by having a bigger number. So picking a random number and saying it actually is the same humor as over 9000

  • @MizukiTHPS are you sure? its not just how ridiculously he says it? i learned something new today thanks :)

  • I ran linux and windows xp on VMware at the same time (limited to only one at a time?) and I also tried virtual box and it was DEAD slow. Just my experience :)

  • skip ad: 3:18 (problem?)

  • you forgot that Vmware Player has no 'Snapshot' support and Vbox does.

  • VMWare Player is very feature limited. Since you are comparing "FREE" VM solutions, the choice is clear. Virtualbox has the ability to create snapshots (GREAT for untrustworthy software), free USB support, you can run concurrent VMs, sharing between guest and host OS is much easier with "seamless mode". I run a combination of VMWare Workstation and Virtualbox. I primarily use virtualbox because the VMWare Workstation version I have will not run the latest M3 build of Windows 8 (build 7989).

  • I think it would be good to note that with previous versions of VM Player you couldnt create an image. You had to own VM Ware desktop, create the image and than use the VM Player to play the created image.

  • numbah twu

  • I rather use VB for running my windows os and apps on linux as well as trying out other os systems

  • QEMU

  • I prefer VMWare over VirtualBox. I have found VB to be very unreliable at times. VMWare Workstation is worth paying for if you need to use VMs a lot, unlike the free player version it can run multiple VMs at once.

  • What about VMWare server? Thats free for both Windows and Linux

  • Virtual Box, it seems to run better, I find easier to use.

  • pm me your email for google+ invites!!

  • VB ...Because it's faster.

  • "and I'm back!" - I love it :D

  • I've been using Virtual Box and VMWare Player for a few years now, and I have to agree that I like VirtualBox better. VMWare is good and offers some great features, but for ease of use, speed, and plain useability I think VirtualBox wins.

  • I used VirtualBox & VMWARE .

but VirtualBox is very easy to use.

BUTt Shannon Morse!!!! I think U miss this one, VMWARE also can run several VMs at same time....

  • VMWARE rocks !!

  • What the hell. This show is becoming useless, what happened to the 40 minute videos? And not this constant multibooting crap. Every 4 episodes mlti-boot multiboot multiboot! Please try something a bit more interesting like exploits, metasploit and good old hacking with Ubuntu. Please.

  • @HydraeNox YOU ARE USELESS

    STFU

  • @ypaul123 You're probably twelve who thinks l337 sp34k is a cool idea. Please fuck off if you think VMs is in anyway the slightest hacking.

  • @HydraeNox Highly rude. stop insulting my friend, Shannon.

  • @ypaul123 I doubt she knows you. Also I was never offending her, did I say it was her fault that the majority of videos are now shit? NO.

  • VirtualBox 4ever!

  • @nickbouwhuis i give you 1k + thumbs up for that.

  • if your gona use vware software use Vmware Workstation. not player. player is just like a client. workstation is everythig and more then vbox

  • They should rename this to ScriptKidTip

  • There is a mistake .... VMware Player can run more than one VM at a time not only one VM

  • Why would you use vmware player ahead of vmware server?

Virtualbox is good, just I have an odd problem with it. It takes forever to actually go from "powered off" to "powered on". Not once its powered up, as its nippy once up but it seems that whatever it does to "get going" takes about a minute, which just seems wrong to me.

  • Vegeta would never consider nobody under 9 Thousaaaand! :|

  • Video thumb Nail Looks Like i am about to Listen The News.

  • 1:02 i loled

  • Comment removed

  • for hackers and security ninjas ?? i think you lost what you were making videos for..... i will unsubscribe cause.... doesnt serve any purpose to know what netflix is doing and if you dont know virtual box... you shouldnt be here in the first place... PLEASE do something better for the next videos... PLEASE PLEASE.... lets make it my birthday present ???

  • Also a nifty feature with vmwareplayer is being able to connect to ESXi servers

start vmware player like this: vmplayer -h 1.2.3.4

    Regards JustM

  • I'm going with VirtualBox. But I don't like the full screen. Is not a full screen at all.

  • Isn't VMware closed source, compared to VirtualBox which is open source? That's a pretty big selling/tipping point, I'd say... (unless I'm mistaken on that)

  • @TranquilVision Yes, VWP is closed source.

  • It's getting harder and harder to see the difference between this show and the commercials. Not only by the quality of the videos, but also by your choice of software reviewed. I'll give you guys few more chances, for old times sakes, but after that I'll be seriously considering unsubscribing from your channel. The way the things are going, you're only feeding noobs and teen skiddies, which is quite sad imho

  • @brujahelder Thanks for the feedback.

  • Perhaps a virtual machine, within a virtual machine, within a virtual machine. My mind has just been blown.

  • WTF ?!! You guys either come up with VirtualBox, Vmware ESXi or Player n other commercial crap. WHAT ABOUT OPEN SOURCE VIRTUALISATION !?????? Though you guys are hackers, not PLUG N PLAY LOOSERS

  • @axel1973w oh shut the fuck up. you dont sound cool for even using open source crap. get over it faggot

  • VMware is faster. Better. More stable.

  • Having 3D acceleration on Linux is a must-have for me.

It's so strange how nobody ever questions why VMWare doesn't have this feature for Linux guests, but does for Windows guests. Seems like many people would run a Linux distro without 3D Accel and still feel comfortable... well it's not the case for me.

I suppose that if I only used Windows VMs, VMWare would be kind of a better choice... for the drag file support and stuff. But even if that was the case... I'm not sure.

  • i can watch hot chics talk about tech all day.

  • ChromeOS is linux.

  • 4:13 Skip the Netflix ad

  • "Jinky Crapware" Awesome!

  • @ik04 haha thanks! While I was practicing the segment, I made the guys literally lol on the set with that phrase. It's my new fav.

  • I prefer VMware Player, on my tests it seems faster.

  • 2nd like

  • wheres googles vm just i will just wait for it they own everything else

  • thumbs up if youre 30 th viewer or under :)

  • @enersani Getting thumbs up doesn't make you any more popular in real life. Only amongst the 10 year olds on youtube who go LOL I AM SO 30th VIEWWE!!! :3
