Spywell, the modular 5.4 SC lightning beefed up motor hits low 7 sec. in the 1/4 with TT. Whippled or KB w/out juice gets to low 10 w 4500+ body weight. And Juan, not all 5.4 V8 can be supercharged w/out proper set-up. Svt developed it from factory.

The stock 10 is slightly faster than the stock L. The bolt on mods with the L usually beat a 10 with a 6speed but with a good driver the 10 will win. Use this video as 1 example of many. The fully modded L's are almost 3 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile. Those are the facts as I know them.

You can throw a SC or turbo on an srt10 and boost up to 10lbs with no problem.... Any ford motor needs a complete rebuild and lowered compression to get any good gain (speaking of boost only here) In terms of price and power per size, the ford takes it. But reliability and tuning it the srt10 all the way.

The SRT has better driver on this 1. Stock= 13.50 not 13.05 though, SVT= 13.70 stock,but 13.21 w sticky tires & on stock air. SRT is 1 of my favorite truck, but the 5.4 SVT is capable of 1500 hp w/ built block = 7-8 sec. in 1/4.
Now this is the realest and farest ram/ford battle I have seen on youtube. 2 stock vehicles on the drag strip with 2 drivers who can shift. A lot of the other vids with the lightning and the srt 10 leaves you with too many unanswered questions. For example was the lightning stock of mod, was that really the 8.3 viper or was that a 5.7 hemi? But this vid we know both vehicles are stock and its a head to head race.
Stock vs Stock the Dodge is just a better performance truck period! The SRT10 will always beat the lightning. Phord should have given its truck more power from the factory.

these are both stock trucks. The lightning puts roughly 375 to the pavement while the ram puts around 425 to the pavement. I'm actually surprised the Lightning with 50 less horsepower kept it within .75

actually if you look at it really closly, you will notice that the svt does not have stock rear wheels. also pay attention to the vid. the srt did not even get a 1/4 second jump on the svt. and finished .75 seconds faster than it. that's sad. and if you knew anything about racing you would know .75 seconds at 100+ mph is a big difference. and if you listen the srt is the one with all the wheel spin, not that svt. it cant seem to get enough power to the wheels from that pussy 5.4

Spywell, the modular 5.4 SC lightning beefed up motor hits low 7 sec. in the 1/4 with TT. Whippled or KB w/out juice gets to low 10 w 4500+ body weight. And Juan, not all 5.4 V8 can be supercharged w/out proper set-up. Svt developed it from factory.

The stock 10 is slightly faster than the stock L. The bolt on mods with the L usually beat a 10 with a 6speed but with a good driver the 10 will win. Use this video as 1 example of many. The fully modded L's are almost 3 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile. Those are the facts as I know them.

You can throw a SC or turbo on an srt10 and boost up to 10lbs with no problem.... Any ford motor needs a complete rebuild and lowered compression to get any good gain (speaking of boost only here) In terms of price and power per size, the ford takes it. But reliability and tuning it the srt10 all the way.

The SRT has better driver on this 1. Stock= 13.50 not 13.05 though, SVT= 13.70 stock,but 13.21 w sticky tires & on stock air. SRT is 1 of my favorite truck, but the 5.4 SVT is capable of 1500 hp w/ built block = 7-8 sec. in 1/4.

Now this is the realest and farest ram/ford battle I have seen on youtube. 2 stock vehicles on the drag strip with 2 drivers who can shift. A lot of the other vids with the lightning and the srt 10 leaves you with too many unanswered questions. For example was the lightning stock of mod, was that really the 8.3 viper or was that a 5.7 hemi? But this vid we know both vehicles are stock and its a head to head race.

you need to read what i wrote the 4 door srt 10 & a 4 door harley weigh about the same . the srt reg cab & lightning weigh about the same . a friend has a 4 dr srt 10 & another friend has a harley truck ; they both weigh close to 6000 lbs . i have seen a srt10 & lightning weighed ; srt weighed about 300 lbs more . you need to get real ! mg 42; a regular cab 4 wd drive 1/2 don`t weigh 5900 lbs

an SRT 10 is 5100 lbs.. a lightning is 4600-4700 depends ing on options.

that could very well be true but i dnt give a shit and thank you for commenting on everyones comments. The hemi motor is just a good design on the heads hints the name hemi. than other manufactors copied it to an extent but in the end dodges are still junk in my eyes.

ya know you're comparing apples and oranges here. the viper v10 has been in R&D for a little over 20 years now, and the 5.4 in the lightning for around 10.
these are both stock trucks. The lightning puts roughly 375 to the pavement while the ram puts around 425 to the pavement. I'm actually surprised the Lightning with 50 less horsepower kept it within .75
If you want a more competitive race, go Roush Stage 3 F150 vs Ram SRT 10

What a fuckin idiot, Versions of that Ford engine have been out for 40 years. The Generation Viper engine has been out since 2003, and the Viper truck weighs 1000lbs more. Ford people are pathetic.

ok .. well y does the svt cobra need a supercharger to win.. just so you kno and dont look like more of a dumbass. thats a detuned 8.3 liter.. and its modular . besides thats the 03-06 type.. in 07 they made the 8.4s with 600 hp and 580 ib ft.. if that was the actualll 588 ci v10 then hed be doing the 1/4 in 12.5 atleast so stop bitching and be happy that your precious ford lives another day to get raped again

THAT'S A JOKE... i used to own and ION REDLINE that could do 13.7@107 ALL DAY LONG on street tires at 2700 ft DA... and it had alittle less than 250 hp with GMPP stage 2 and bolt on's..and it's FWD... you are an IDIOT.. did i even say ANYTHING about the motor??? no i commented on the tires/rim's the ram had.. which aint the stock 22's out back. because in a drag race the one thing that matter more than HP is traction... ive seen a pulley/tuned with DR's 01 lightning run about a 13 FLAT at 110+ ALL DAY LONG at this track.. without the DR's he would spin through the 1/8th.. and still be even with this srt 10's times and was BEATING a black one EVERY TIME who was on STOCK TIRES with or without the dr's.... SAD SAD DAY for SRT....

Lil Red Express was the first sport truck, there just wasnt a sport truck market when it was released. And if ford started the sport truck market... its pretty sad that the Dodge beats them at their own game. And the Ram SRT-10 has the handling of a 175 HP car, so it could do some fancy manuvering. In case you didnt know, the Ram SRT-10 is the worlds fastest truck ever put into production. Sure you can turbo charge a lightning and beat it, but if you trubo charge both the Ram still wins.

hey buddy you might want to atleast get your bench racing right there mr IN CORRECT BENCH RACER.. the ram top's out @ 155.. and ive personally drive an 07 ion redline faster than 155 and it had 240ish WHP...
let's look at the stock stat's a sec..
RAM= 0-60 in 5.6
SVT= 0-60 in 5.8

Yes it is, the V10 is pushing a much heavier truck much faster with far more rotational mass with those Larger 22s and much bigger beaks that are significantly harder to push.. The real truck is faster. Do you even have a drivers license?

actually if you look at it really closly, you will notice that the svt does not have stock rear wheels. also pay attention to the vid. the srt did not even get a 1/4 second jump on the svt. and finished .75 seconds faster than it. that's sad. and if you knew anything about racing you would know .75 seconds at 100+ mph is a big difference. and if you listen the srt is the one with all the wheel spin, not that svt. it cant seem to get enough power to the wheels from that pussy 5.4

are you REALLY that retarted? .03 second to 60 slower and .02 second slower in the quarter but only 1 mph slower.. that's a completely different league? WHAT PLANET ARE YOU LIVING ON? a pulley swap and retune would make it walk the SRT cause it's BEEN PROVEN to shave atleast a 3/4 second and add 4-5 mph sometimes as high as 7 mph to the lightning. really you should do more than just magazine race.. as ive driven BOTH trucks. and the SRT's shifter throw's and clutch are WEAK SAUCE..

Doesn't matter to me....I like my SRT-10 and it's been a great and very dependable truck. I'm not saying the Lightning isn't fast, but I've never been beaten by any Ford Lightning nor have I been beaten by any Chevy SS which is also a fast truck.
