  • God I wish Alfonso came back. Mike Newell fucked up Goblet of Fire really bad, but David Yates just flat out raped the rest of the series except for maybe part 1 of DH...

  • @guudgidga 4th one was hella good u serious?

  • In my opinion - Alfonso Coroun should have done all the films, from 1-7. He just understands what cinema is, what telling a story is and what Harry Potter is really about. His film made me even understand the books better.

  • love alfonso

  • I did not like the third hp because the script lacked so much that the original story did, and there were a lot of plot threads that went missing, but Alfonso Cuaron always does an amazing job directing the most imaginative and fantastic stories and bringing dark reality into them. His attention to detail is also admirable. like in Children of Men everyone has dogs with them. they never mention it, but they do since they can't have children :)

  • ALFONSO, PLEASE COME BACK AND DO HP7!!! DAVID YATES SUCKS!!! PLEASE COME BACk!!@

  • @SkISl0pE I 100000000 percent agree I would be willing to wait another year for him to redo the last film not a single problem with it. I am so disappointed yates is finishing the series really cuaron will finish on a high note for real. Please we need to make a petition or something to get the yates final film from destroying a legendary series!

  • YOU ARE SO , SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOS O SO RIGHT!

  • @SkISl0pE

Fuck you. You don't know shit. David Yates is an artist. If he did anything is that he improved things the book failed to do. Even J.K. Rowling herself preferred his adaptations the most. You can be stuck in your own little bubble as long as you want, but don't go around telling people what is or what is not good.

For me, I do like Alfonso Cuaron's take on the third installment. But I also love the cinematic beauty that is in the David Yates directed HP films.

  • @biggyshack In my opinion I feel like Alfonso's gothic visual style is more suiting to Harry Potter than David Yates who is just like "Look at me, I can add colour correction!"

  • @SkISl0pE Too late :( and I agree with you, I feel David Yates took all the charm out of the series.

  • I KNEW that he directed Harry Potter. And to this day, I loved the 3rd Harry Potter the most because of the directing. The gritty feel was beautiful!

  • @MoonEyes144 I wouldn't call it gritty, but the style of the third is incredible :)

  • ugh please do HP 7 Alfonso. :[

  • YES! I thought I was the only one who wanted to see his triumphant return to complete the saga.

    Alfonso for HP 7!

  • do you know the producers personally to know that? Lots of people agree that the 3rd harry potter movie is the BEST cause of Alfonso's style, it was so dark and fantastic.

  • i'm not saying that i hate his style. to be honest my favorite is PoA. second is OOtP. cause alfonso made it his own. you can easily distinguish that his HP was the best cause he didnt rely on effects. he focused on emotions, not like mike newell. but cmon, you can't shoot a movie like harry potter on hand held cam.. also some people want him for the hobbit which is funny cause do they want a Lotr captured on hand held??!!

  • hand held what are you on about? just looks like normal camera work to me.

  • who says he'll do the same thing for harry potter that he did for children of men. and either way, the quality was amazing for children of men so it wouldn't matter. children of men though, was a different story. he won't use the same techniques for something like harry potter.

  • el es realmente increible es un Mexicano muy talentoso

  • Me gusto mucho la pelicula de Children of men...this movie was really good.....

  • Hola Cuaron! Felicidades por tu exito en el mundo de cine. Mereces tu todo! Espero que puedemos trabajar junto otra vez en una filmacion! -Hunter Mann, equipo de Solo Con...1990 DF

  • This guy is so gifted. Two beautiful movies in a row! Awesome!

  • Este cuate es mi heroe, espero algun dia ser un gran director de cine como lo es el, Iñarritu y del Toro.

  • es toooodo mi poncho!!!

  • On a superficial level it's obvious that the heavy-on-effects "Harry Potter" film was instrumental to make "Children of Men" the visually flawless film it is, and it must easy to get the funding for any movie after doing that blockbuster. But maybe he means something else?
