  • The way you care for these guys is just amazing!

I cry a little on the videos of your deceased spiders.

And I awh at the babies.

Even though I don't understand your spider lingo but I just know you love them.

Do you ever talk to them? In baby talk? Ever call them your babies?

    I know I would!

  • @silversincosplay I sometimes too, I call mine "Silly arachnid"

  • is that a t.blondi? or what?

  • hi Rob C i want to add a pool to my h gigas but im not sure if i should add goldfish from the petstore please give me advice.

  • @DrTarantula1998 DO NOT LOL!! theybare full of chemicals.....fish must be hand raised!

  • @DrTarantula1998 DO NOT LOL!! they are full of chemicals.....fish must be hand raised!

  • It's been 7 days and my G.Rosie is looking fit and well on her 5 legs. She rejected a feed today so will try again tomorrow is it worth me trying to feed her something a little smaller than a jumbo cricket?

  • Is this type of bad molting common with this species? Didn't Zilla and Sammy both die from bad molts?

  • That's great thanks for the advice will keep you posted on her condition. All the best with your awesome work!

  • Ok people, my Chili Rose has had a nightmare of a molt. She is free of it now but has lost 3 legs in the process. She is moving around ok and looks in good health. I know next molt she will grow them back but really worried she's going to struggle.

    Any thought would be awesome!

  • @Danjs26 Give her LOTS of water and in 7-9 days feed her and feed her all she will eat...keep doing this so she will force a molt.

  • Bro, come on 3 weeks with no.video! My gov final is next week and yet here I am still checking your page daily for.videos! Hurry them up please!

  • @JoshuaBakerMusic I would recommend something from the avicularia or some brachypelma genus. however, since you have the enclosure set up, there is nothing wrong with going ahead and getting a rosie.

Also, if you buy from a local pet store, you don't have to pay shipping, which can be quite expensive, espeially if you only buy one T. the price doesn't increase with the more T's you order. But to pay $25 shipping for a $20 or $30 T is a little crazy.

  • @JoshuaBakerMusic you could buy one offline or buy one from your local pet shop. Buying offline usually guarntees health, age, and whether it is wild caught or captive bred. At the pet shop, they will tell you the T's are CB when they may actually be WC. Also, you do not know the specific age or health. However, unless you buy from a shady pet store, the T's are usually in good health. Also, rosies aren't a very good first t because their tempermant is very unpredictable.

  • @tarantulaguy1976 I don't know where people are getting the idea that you're giving up on T's. that's such a silly thought! LOL

  • @kdkretch1993 Who is saying that LOL!! That will NEVER happen!

  • @tarantulaguy1976 On the chat on your page! I'm like WTH where'd you hear that! That's SOOO not true!!!

  • hi rob could i make a bite glove for my new subfusca and how many t's do you have ps: cool videos

  • Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I have a severe case of Arachnophobia, but for some reason I really enjoy your videos. If I see any sort of spider, I freak out and cry. But I can tell you really love all of your pets; how could I find that scary? I think it would be really, really cool if you made a video introducing everybody to all of your spiders. Like maybe show each one, tell us their name, etc. Just a suggestion, but I think everybody would enjoy that!

    Have a great day!

    -Abby

  • i really love watching all your videos rob!

  • @mtvful LOL!! It will make her molt fast to repair herself.

  • Glad she's ok! :-) my female blondi is beasting quickly as well! Lol

  • Do you ship to Canada?

  • WOO! GO CARDS!

  • Wow, I can't believe how big she's gotten in that short time. I'm glad she got free.

  • hey TG'76

long time viewer, first time commenter.

you actually inspired me to get a T. Blondi from watching vids of Zilla (RIP).

I went and ordered one from a local mom n' pop pet shop but what they came back with was a Theraphosa Stirmi. i look the little fuzzy girl anyway (of course) but was wondering what the differences were between the two spiders.... aside from the hairs on her petella is there a size and/or a temperament difference between the two sub species?

    thanks

    -Nick

  • I gotta question Rob, My 9 1/2" Goliath molted about 2 months ago and she turned out beautiful and everything was fine, but now, a half of the hair on her abdomen is already gone and underneath where the hair was is a dark pink color. She hasnt been kicking hairs hardly at all so I dont know why it would be bald already and red like that. Have any of your goliaths done that?

  • Looks amazing!! Quick question.. is power feeding just feeding them more often? I'm new to the trade and just wondering cuz I feed my A. avic a lot and she hasn't molted any faster.

  • Excellent job!

  • Now Zilian is an insect!! XD I had this with my Avic. versi. once, too. And she's all fine today!

  • the ability to grow back limbs is one of the many things that make these creatures fasanating, in my opinion. one of the first t's i got was a seven legged euathlus sp. after a mounth i came home from work and she was eight legged again. i never really understood how it works, is the leg growing and storing somewhere till the moult, does it grow in the moult process???? either way, its just...... cool! :) nice t their.

  • i like ur hat lol :D

  • Hi Rob! Thanks for the videos. You mention 'power feeding' in several of your videos, and I was wondering if they also 'power molt' as well? I guess I power feed, and I have noticed that several of my species (brachy, avics, grammastola) will molt usually twice (once three times) before eating. Is this normal?

  • aww poor zillian...

so cute how zillian tried standing and almost fell backwards!!

  • How about a T. apophysis update.

  • GREAT JOB

  • Gorgeous! Glad she is okay! When I saw the title I was like "oh, no!" but I am so glad she turned out ok!!! Keepthe videos coming. lol XD

  • My P.muticus had gone through the same thing :(

  • @tarantulaguy1976 i think ur crazy playing with pokeys and pulling sacs instead of leaving em...

  • @mrcatdoc1 y pulling sca early is a must unless you want VERY little sucess...I had a 97% return last year vers the 80% by leaving them.

  • @mrcatdoc1 You can leave the sac with the mother and they will emerge on their own but I prefer the controlled environment of the incubators. If you leave it with the mother there is always a chance that she may eat the sac, that an egg may go bad and start to mold - spreading the mold to other eggs that were still good plus attracting mites/flies. You can get some cannibalism inside the sac and it wont' happen in an incubator plus you can control the humidity and temps.

  • @mrcatdoc1 I don't play with pokies.

  • When a tarantula regenerates there legs do they end up looking like the rest?or will it be off color ect.

  • @panterafreak21 Little smaller at first..within 2 molts it will be exactly the same.

  • Eh Rob you ex navy?

  • @ApharHa My wife is, critotolgy

  • I thought you had gotten rid of all your terrestrial Ts.. or was that a silly rumor? pls hurry and breed her so I can get a sling from ya.. ;-)

  • @Kazahmish I got rid of a lot, keeping Blondi, smithi, GBB...may even sell my Balfouri!

  • @tarantulaguy1976 Should sell that balf to Z :P

  • @tarantulaguy1976

    whyy =oo =[[

  • Love your vids tarantulaguy1976. Whats the best lighting for tarantulas?

  • awesome vid rob! keep posting :D

  • can you help me??? my chilean rose hair is dropping its crickets and putting silk over them then she picks it up again and starts to eat it more what is she doing???!!!!

  • @Arabmuneyfunny Its perfectly normal, my theory they do it so the food holds together and nothing falls off.

  • that's amazing that they will grow back in the next few molts

  • sorry about the bad molt. hope zilliAN IS OK ..I wish I had a T Blondie... there very rare.. T Stirmii are all I see for sale

  • @ultum4tegunz Correct, she was taken from a eggsac from a WC "TRUE" T.blondi....so is mothra.

  • hi rob, i am so glad to see zillian is doing well and i hope she recovers soon :)

  • man I was just wondering how Zillian was doing....I hope she recovers well...I your care....I am not that worried...

  • 16 2 7!

  • im glad Zillian is ok Rob, i dont wanna see Zillian going the way of Zilla from an injury form a bad molt, i miss seeing Zilla :(

im not blaming you for Zillas fate at all, you didnt have anything to do with the cause of ZIllas death, hope i didnt stir up any bad memories though by bringing it up

  • @Lavos2007 Zilla was just old.....I enjoyed her and you guys made her more speacial than I EVER could have....it is my subscribers that fuel the passion....thank you guys!

  • Good to see shes ok :)

  • So basicaly, you just hold the leg so that she can autotomize it?

  • @Gaiacarra It is like a lizards tail...hold it in place abd she will pull and they come loose...I would only do this if there was no other way.

  • glad she is ok :)

  • Hey Rob, do you have any problems with mites when using peat moss? Do i really have to worry much about mites? cus i notice small and little white organisms moving around my T enclosures. But so far i havent had any problem at all. what s your opinion? thanks

  • @PartyLaBabyOff those would most likely be Mites, their hard to get rid of but Rob would be able to direct you better than i could, especially as far as Mites and Tarantulas

  • ytort@PartyLaBabyOff Those are "predtory" mites and will actually clean the cage, but do not let them go crazy out of hand.

  • @tarantulaguy1976 You mean try to control the population in the T enclosure? Thanks Rob!

  • really nice t rob man i love tarantulas only my mam doesn´t let me have one,

but hey i have 8 reptiles so i have noting to complain about XD

in 2 years from now i will be moving out and i bet that the first thing im gonna buy is a tarantula . lol .

  • Glad she's okay Rob :)

  • SHE R INSECT NOW?! ;)

  • good save

  • Nice one Rob. My rosea was missing a couple of 'toes' and they reappeared next moult - they are awesome creatures : ).

  • God, arachnids are so awesome!

  • beautiful T despite losing 2 legs. Great job on saving her Rob! Love your vids!

  • nice

  • jesus christ u talk fast

  • @HorseyNO Yeah but at least it's with a pleasant MidWestern accent as opposed to the LonG EYEland variety which I find abrasive. Do like the Bronx accents, no offence to my NE friends. X] You athe reptile show today bro?

  • @HorseyNO Midwest talks fast.

  • @HorseyNO LOL!! I agree

  • You are awesome!
