Hey! that's Chopin's Etude in C Minor after the 55 second prelude. What David just played was a piece in duple meter from the first section A of his etude. The high accented chords are in forte (loud) answered by downward rushing passages. I like the way David bridged Romantic Period music with modern music. I first bought the "cassette" in 1990. Wow, This song is one of my favorites.
@rhythmofthesoul I saw him play live in 1990. He explained that he went to a music conservatory and he tried to work this piece over and over. He got it. He's a great storyteller.
I spent over two hours trying to find this song. I couldn't remember the artist, and only remembered some of the words. THANK YOU for posting this! : )
This song is still so relevant even these many years later!
This song has a relevance for my life in this moment so much more than it did when it came out, which, ironically, I never heard back then though I had several of his albums. Thanks David, for co-writing a song that would have so much more meaning 20 years later than it did then, and thanks xembryo for posting it.
David Meece was one of the first Christian artists I ever listened to as a kid...this song has always been one of my favorites for both the excellent, touching lyrics and the awesome piano! I saw him in concert when I was 9years old, and let me tell you, he is an amazing pianist!!!

is it me or does this remind you of "Once in a lifetime"? the themes are eerily similar.
