i dont know what happened to the parents of that bird but if that bird was abandoned maybe i consider that handfeeding but if that bird was feed for vid purpose i dont think its right because you are taking away his/her right to think like a bird.. what happened to the bird when he grow up he will just keep on relying your manly feeding program.

@budgies121 weaned means moving onto more solid foods....like a kitten going off milk to moving onto real cat food, or a baby stopping being breastfed. for birds they just stop eating regurgitated food or formula from their parent, and moving onto seeds and fruit....hope that helps...

Hi, this video shows how you know a bird is almost weaned. Its not very interested in the formula anymore as its been eating seeds. You just give it a chance to eat for an extra day or so.

hey i got 2 week old parakeets and im gonna hand feed them saturday..got any tips?

i know that the formula has to be 100*f but....

all i do it put it in the left side of the birds mouth right? cuz the mouth is small and im scared it will go down both wholes wind pipe and the other

if the bird is facing you, you angle the pipette from the right to the left. For parakeets you might want to let the parents have them for a week or so more if that is an option. Do you have a brooder set up for them?

parakeets of 2 weeks old should be fed by their parents! Anyone taking away birds from their mother and father before they can eat independently is maltreating animals !
