One more thing about this matter; the convictions were expunged, and the records sealed...I think that makes it clear that matter was minor misdemeanor.

A young lady approached me and told me the child she was holding was alive because we were there that day. I wish I could find her now, all discussion of this matter would end.
We got severe sentences, well beyond what was the normal sentence, because we did not take the deal the state offered us, but we also got smart in the process. For the record, the ex San Diego county DA handled our appeal pro-bono, but ours was a lost cause. The up side is this, folks became aware of the fact that late term abortions were being done all over the state and in other states from our work ,and the work of others.
We thought we were smart enough to defend ourselves; we were wrong. A lawyer volunteered to help a day or two before trial; he had no experience in this type of matter, and he joined after the motions were filed and decided. By the time he joined, our immature, and inexperienced attempt at defending ourselves had pretty much sealed our fate.

Forty-five days for trespassing just doesn't seem right. What judge would sentence you to such a lengthy sentence for non-violently protesting against a clinic whose practices were against the law?
Late Term Abortions are illegal. Travis I am with you, Martin Luther King Jr. was also arrested for what he believed in, for what he stands for. Nelson Mandela also was arrested and imprisoned for almost three decades and became President of South Africa.
