I do agree with you that our politicians, and in turn our country, is corporate owned. There should be no provision in the health care bill requiring people to buy health insurance.That is insane and goes against reforming the system. In fact, it makes it worse. What I am seeing, though, is that the GOP is consistently siding with the Insurance companies and claiming that if you are against Insurance companies making profits on your health, you are a fascist and a Nazi and against capitalism.

What happens if you come down with an illness tonight eating a sandwich while watching Fox news? Will your insurance cover you? If you lose your job and insurance and have to GET insurance and can't because of a pre-existing condition. If you get sick, your choices will be bankruptcy and death. All of a sudden, you won't be pulling your weight according to your logic.

An Insurance Company is like any other company, it wants to make money. Nothing wrong with that. However its stupid for us to think they lower costs. Their middle men and middle men need to make money. When you get an oil change in your car does your insurance cover it? No. You may have a warrantee for major repairs but you don't have that for tires, batteries, windsield wipers, oil ect because its cheaper when there is no middle man. Don't think a government insurance company will be better.

They accomplish this by not covering the people that are paying for their policies if the illness coverage eats into their profits. That may be good for insurance companies and they can easily double your premium over th next few years, especially if they see how the GOP will fight their battles for them and spread their lies. I will ask again, who are the tyrants in this situation?

Let's face it, the Birther movement is just thinly veiled racism. The Birthers, formerly known as the KKK, have found a more socially acceptable way to say that they don't like having a black president. I could argue facts on Obama's birth certificate, but it is purely an emotional issue, so facts are irrelevant, aren't they?

The emotional part of the argument is saying that Obama was born in Africa and ignoring the mountain of evidence, including actually showing his birth certificate, that shows where he was actually born. There is nothing at all that can be shown by Obama that will satisfy the Birthers because this issue is not at all related to his birth certificate.
