@DoNultima Yes the British empire was larger but the reality was that the Ottoman empire was the first to smash any supremacy conception about Christianity and this is why people hate the Ottoman empire (and Turks by default) because we were seen as the devil at the time. You are also wrong if you think the Ottoman influence was only in conquered territories, our influence was strong enough to convert modern day Indonesia from paganism to Islam.

OH Perry Frigates were turned into G Class Frigates with GENESIS (Gemi Entegre Savaş İdare Sistemi) upgrade. But believe me, they are totally different frigates now. Even Vertical Landing platforms were added(Turkish Perry Class frigates had short hulls). Genesis upgrade is like melting the ship and rebuilding it.

besides, nowadays ships aren't as powerful as they were in the past and can de destroyed from large distances with guided missiles, but you know that...

Knox Class Frigates are used to take place in 1st Naval Command while TF-2000 Frigates are being produced. This Class will cmpletely retire when 4 TF-2000 and 12 Milgem enter service. Altai Tank wasn't even tested yet and you are saying that it is old. Actually they can be count new compared to 20 years old Challengers and their upgraded version Challenger 2...

The United States is preparing to transfer another two decommissioned Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided missile frigates to the Turkish Navy, and the two sides are continuing talks on final details, officials said.
Congress has recently approved the transfer and President George W. Bush has signed it.One of the frigates will be granted and the other will be sold, one official said.
