@tml4873 Plenty of newer "mcmansion"-like houses have attics that height, but many of the ones that are sold unfinished have those stupid trusses that prevent the owner from doing anything with that space, other than starting a bonfire. There must be a way to convert those things to conventional framing patterns (with only vertical and horizontal reinforcements), but I'm sure it involved adding a ton of wood and cutting out much of the original junk-wood.
