I Cant Thank You Enough I Was Frantically Looking For How To Take Bursts Of My Sons Tennis Workout W/ My New D90 And You Showed Me How To Do It Effortlessly...
i just bought a nikon d90, im not really an expert regarding photos, but i'm so eager to find out what is the best setting for manual mode. And whenever I take continuous shots, the pictures are blurry. Please advise... Thank you. And nice video...
ok so i have a d90 and my girlfriend has a d 300 .
the d300 is by far a much better camera but the d90 is a great camera also , id advise more towards the d300 if you can afford it as the case is better , but the d90 isnt flimsy either , the d 300 is a much better camera for a sports photographer but over all the d90 is a beast of a camera for the price
You should have got a D300 NOT a Nikon D90. D300 does 6fps 8fps with battery grip, 51-points with 3d tracking vs. 11-points. D300 also has a stronger build its not a piece of plastic. Its waterproof and dust proof with a magnesium body / 2 ports 1. For pc sink 2. 10-pin for timers ect D300 is a much better camera vs. a plastic toy the Cmos is much better in the D300 also.
I disagree entirely, because I disagree with comparing different classes of cameras. If you have an extra 600 dollars to spend, okay, get the D300. But why stop there? An extra thousand will get you the D700, which is full frame! But really, as long as money is no object, I'd take an M8 with a couple Leica lenses.
The point is, the D90 is an excellent camera for what is tries to be - a well-built and innovative tool for the advanced amateur photographer. Spend the money you save on a good lens.
Au contraire - you can indeed use DX lenses on the FX-format D700 and D3 using the [Auto DX crop] option under the [Image area] item in the Shooting menu. Trade offs are a narrower field of view and reduced control over depth of field.
Naturally you'll do best with full frame lenses, but having the option to incorporate any DX lenses you have into your kit is convenient. Also, remember that a great number of older Nikon legacy lenses will work just fine.
this really really helped. ty.

The 4.5 fps is not "until you release the shutter"...Im almost positive the buffer depletes its capacity at 7 frames.

You can't use DX lens on a "Fx" body aka D700 / D3. No point in any lens slower then 2.8/f 1500.00 min for the good lens

I knew I could rely on this channel owner for an intelligent comment.
What purpose is there in comparing two totally different cameras?
The D90 is the top of the range semi-pro camera and will do almost anything you demand of it.
The D300 is not something you'd want to take on holidays unless you have a fetish for carrying heavy, highly steal-able pro kit.
Unless your a pro shooter, buy the D90, and save yourself a bundle in cost, insurance, worry and bicep strain.
