  • It's true about the bacteria. After wearing your jeans for a few days without washing them you'll have a huge amount of Micrococcus Luteus around the seat of your pants and Staph and e-coli in your pockets from all the places where your hands have been.

  • im a clothing company

  • Someone made a study about it and freezing is one of the best methods...

Jeans worn for 15 months in study

    By JASMINE FRANKLIN, QMI Agency

...Le admitted he did extensive measures for odour control including putting the jeans in the freezer around the seven-month mark. To his surprise he said, the freezer took away most of the smell.

  • I don't think they mean freeze them EVERY time just in between. I could see how that would work

  • or just spray them with vodka, and save yourself the time of having to freeze them, but it still can't take wrinkles out, (maybe if you sprayed it and ironed right away? idk i would feel like more of a weirdo ironing jeans than freezing them for some reason.)

  • YOU MORONS REALIZE THAT BACTERIA IS THE ONLY CAUSE FOR BODY ODOR!!! KILLING BACTERIA IS KILLING THE SMELL! YOU SMELL AFTER YOU SWEAT BECAUSE BACTERIA HAS A PLACE TO THRIVE AND THE SMELL IS LITERALLY BACTERIA SHIT!!!

  • i dont wear underwear so... that just wont work! Be some nasty duck butter after a few "freezes"

  • i'm going to wash my jeans daily in opposition to this stupidity!

  • Sometimes when I run out of clean underwear I just microwave them.

    Kill germs.

  • this man is bringing GAP into disrepute. How can they employ such an idiotic man, instead of washing our underwear we should just freeze them, that is insane, washing clothes removes all the sweat, dirt etc from our clothes which ahem freezing just cant. this guy obviously has poor hygiene he probably wipes his ass with his own toothbrush which he uses everyday to brush his teeth.

  • @vicosu but he isn't saying that we should do that with underwear...the reason he is suggesting it is b/c it prevents the colour loss of the jeans. Colour loss of normal everyday underwear probably isn't so important so go ahead and wash them.

  • some guy went like a year without washing his jeans.. he put them in the freezer. they were actually safe. It doesn't kill germs but you dont get deadly ones either, the worst part was the smell, not germs. But regardless.

  • This is wrong...all wrong.

  • Then your jeans will smell like freezer.

  • if you have a smelly ass then you need a doctor or a bar of soap not a freezer or washer. lol....

  • FREEZING YOUR JEANS DOES NOT KILL ALL THE GERMS!!!! FALSE STATEMENT

  • Thanks, neberboi, just what I was wondering!

  • Step 1: Freeze a pile of crap

Step 2: Defrost pile of crap

Crap is now free of bacteria and will no longer smell

I don't think so! It's not like I crap in my jeans... but down here in South Florida its difficult to wear your garments anymore than once before having to wash them!

  • Dude freezing does not kill "all the germs." The germs just don't grow in that enviroment...when you take them out they get out of thier hibernation. Dude is misinformed.

  • i click this 4 no reason !

  • i don't wash my jean to kill bacteria. i wash them to remove dirt and stain. if i wanted to kill bateria, i would pour hand sanitizer all over it not freeze it

  • dam @dolfsvlog u must be dirty as hell

  • how does the freezer remove the smell of ass?

  • @dolfsvlog start wiping your fucking ass hole faggot

  • @dolfsvlog its called toilet paper, use it!

  • @dolfsvlog perfume maybe.=))

  • so does freezing take out stains...?

  • Ok I'm having some issues understanding this. I'm being told to not wash my jeans but freeze them instead; I get that part. However, how exactly will the stretch marks from the knee area subside? I do bend my knees after all. How about the stretch from the jeans? When exactly do they come back to their original form during the freezing process I guess is my question. Unless I'm doing this with some baggy jeans or some skin tight jeans, I don't know how it would work

  • @sozaito freezing jeans is only good if you want a nice worn in jean. it will be still be stretched out, but that's kind of the point. it will wear and tear naturally with your curves and when you finally decide to wash them they will be pretty awesome. If you don't like the stretching, you can always wash them in cold water inside out, and hang dry them. It preserves the color and fit/ size.

  • Not sure why the 3 dislike... *sigh*

  • @maxulic I, for some reason, have been looking at freezing jeans threads for the last 20 minutes and some people are seriously passionate about their dislike of freezing jeans. A lot of people seem to think you just wash the hell out of them for no reason, I guess they don't like dark denim.

  • I believe you...but it's amazing how many viewpoints exist on this practice. I'll give it a try on my Gap 1969 Straight Fit Selvedges.
