  • he fingered a girl in 2009 and she is still having orgasms!

  • @villathrice Really, well 3 years ago he was 14 years old!!! Filth...not necessary here on this page...

  • I just noticed, did they shave his unibrow?

  • He's a cross between Orlando Bloom and Indiana Jones

  • THE FREE REPLAY BUTTON is AVAILABLE AGAIN - - - > 1:55

    + + + Lets do it to the top again and again ..! + + +

  • this makes me want to watch Nodame Cantabile again :p

  • How did some fuckhead Justin Beiber wana be poofter win

  • there is no such thing as "naturally talented" piano player... you work hard, you get good at it, but you weren't born with the ability to play piano...

  • He was not restricted by the silly rules of piano playing, the teachers and repetitive glop. He never plays the same thing twice. He plays as he feels, he is a true unrestricted artist! and his innocence is the best thing about him! Chooka stay golden!!!

  • This guy is nothing short of a GENIOUS!!! Brillant!!!!!!!!!

  • Gosh, I think I still need to improve my oz english.

  • too much pedal, a chiasm of notes, melody is just buried, sorry about it's a bit painful to the ear.

  • @Criticalperspective2 too much criticism, a chiasm of words, meaning is just buried, sorry but its a bit painful to read. Not to mention a complete lack of evidence that you can do better or know what you're talking about.

  • @uknowispeaksense Why do you non-musicians always think that playing notes all around the piano is virtuoso and sounds good? If you had a tad of musical experience, you would know that the chord progression used is ridiculously simple, that the pedal blurs everything whilst the lh and rh follow the structure of an arpeggio. As a pianist, I do enjoy arpeggiated runs. However, it needs to be played well and with a rhythmic structure otherwise it is just painful to hear. That's all.

  • @Criticalperspective2 i am a musician too and i totally agree with what you said.. but unfortunatly when you go to these kind of shows you HAVE to do some fast chiasms of notes if you want to make it impressive and have a chance to win..

  • @pitoine03 True. It shows how musically uneducated the audience is.

  • @Criticalperspective2 Get over yourselves!!

  • @megclif You know what I think?...@Criticalperspective2 is suffering from big word syndrome coinciding with small man syndrome....

  • Comment removed

  • @Criticalperspective2 taking OP as a reference? jeez man, this guy is an amateur, of course he's not going to be as good...

  • Comment removed

  • @Criticalperspective2 makes it official, you're an idiot.

  • @Criticalperspective2 So now one must be educated to listen to and enjoy music??? Hmmm well I have a degree...but maybe its in the 'incorrect' field?? Should I now go and get a degree in Music so that I may enjoy Chooka??

Actually I think you need a big dose of what @megclif suggested.....

  • @terpie51 You are drawing the wrong conclusions out of my commentaries. I just felt that, and this reflects my OWN AND PERSONAL OPINION, what Chooka played on stage is nothing amazing. I reiterate my point: he uses pedal too much, the melody is burried under arpeggiated runs which are not really in rhythm, and to me, this is a weakness. I never said you needed to have a music degree to listen to him. Now, if you like what he played, good for you.

  • @Criticalperspective2 well you know as a friend of Chooka I can tell you that he is a beautiful, gentle soul who absolutely loves playing the piano/keyboard and he loves making people happy with his music, that is really as far as it goes. As far as I know he couldn't care less about arpeggiated runs or other the other terminology you are using here and because he is so gentle, many like you have attempted to stamp on him and tried to grind him into the dirt knowing he wont fight back.

  • Comment removed

  • @Criticalperspective2 continued. You have made your point quite clearly now, I get it, we get it you dont like his music, fine! You insinuated that those who enjoy Chookas music are uneducated and I had to point out that this is a grossly unfair assessment of us. Please now leave this page and do whatever else you do in your life.

  • @terpie51 Continued. I wouldn't consider it as a negative feedback, but something constructive to ponder upon. Moreover, nobody would ever progress in music if we were to constantly acclaim, flatter and over-compliment one's performance. This shows that you have no experience in music (note that I don't say education, which is different), otherwise you wouldn't claim such things. Nevertheless, good luck (and perseverance!) Chooka

  • @Criticalperspective2 Your constant need to return to a video sight you deem beneath you only suggests that you are seeking self validation and attention. You may indeed have the technical training and keyboard skills but if we were to apply a similar check sheet to your maturity and other attributes I feel we would find you wanting. You should climb down from that lofty pedestal and seek soul and you may one day connect with others as Chooka does every time he performs.

  • @megclif There is no need express yourself in such a way, I am not the Queen of England. The video was an example to show you what I considered as good arpeggiated runs, with a clear rhythmic structure. I don't see why you refer to my maturity? Am I not entitled to make a critical judgment? Seek soul? No thanks, I am not religious.

  • @Criticalperspective2 Soul isn't about religion - it pertains to a persons mental, moral and emotional nature, or spiritual element showing a deep emotional feeling - hence the musical genre 'Soul'. It is this particular video of Chookas you keep coming back to comment on I was referring to - like it's become some obsession and I don't understand why you bother if it only gives you negative feelings.

  • @megclif Thanks, I was wondering the same thing. Obvious this person is not listening to what either of us are saying - keeps missing the point. I was talking about FEELING Chooka's music not being technically competent to judge it. You were talking about 'Soul' as feeling whereas this person immediately assumed religion - @Criticalperspective2 I find your YouTube name quite rhetorical...

  • @megclif There is a strong link between spirituality and religion (e.g.gospel). It does not produce negative feelings, I like debating on several things and I feel I have to the right to say what I think about this video, from my past experiences and knowledge. What has my username got to do with this? A perspective is not necessarily subjective, nor critical.

Of course, like any form of art, music produces inner feelings. But music cannot be solely based on our emotional side.

  • @Criticalperspective2 Haven't mentioned your username, got the wrong person. You seem to have difficulty in understanding exactly what anyone is trying to convey or even who wrote it so I'd chill out if I was you and concentrate. Most who come here just want to enjoy Chookas music without having to put up with your constant annoying critiques.Go join a debating group if you need to air your knowledge. I repeat - why keep viewing the video? You seem to have a real problem!

  • @megclif The youtube response system is not very clear.

I'm also getting tired of your spiritualist philosphies which make you even more parochial in your perception of music. Futhermore, there are no rules which specify that I am not entitled to express my opinion on youtube videos.

Finally, I never claimed that his performance was sh*t, to put explicitly, but simply that I didn't like it and this is a matter of opinion. You all strongly reacted to this, and I have provided sufficient proof

  • @megclif continued. that I'm not merely criticising to bring him down, but that there is a logical reasoning behind this.

  • @Criticalperspective2 I repeat - get over yourself - nobody cares.Everyone else has moved on and if you can shake off this obsession - so should you!!

  • @megclif Mate, I'm just replying to you. You are the one who is misinterpreting my comments.

  • @Criticalperspective2 well there you go with your pompous assumptions again. I have no formal training in music so you may as well be speaking Chinese to me with your technical terms but I have 'experience' in music in other ways. My father was a pianist who played every day as I was growing up so I can deeply appreciate piano music. My daughter is also a pianist - empty assumptions...you are correct that I am a friend and a fan...I dont consider my appraisal to be over top - its what I FEEL!

  • @terpie51 I like China. Don't you?

  • Comment removed

  • @Criticalperspective2 I value and respect every person on this planet, regardless of difference as I myself have been marginalised and stigmatised on grounds of being 'different'...Ive been there mate!!

  • @terpie51 In what ways are you different?

  • @terpie51 Oh btw, are you his mate at 0:56?

  • @Criticalperspective2 No mate, 'Im not on any of the clips on YouTube at all...

  • @Criticalperspective2 continued. As a friend of Chooka I would like to say thanks to those supporting him here, he really appreciates you doing that and he is forging ahead with his career regardless of negative feedback from those who think they know more. If you visit my channel 'terpie51' you can see much more recent clips of Chooka playing and giving his gift to others. Thank You

  • @Criticalperspective2 I'm not a non-musician, not by any means and nor have I mentioned whether I agree with your assessment or not. My comment is merely a criticism directed at your criticism for the sake of criticism. I mean, what can you possibly hope to gain by sitting behind a computer and being critical? Like most who engage in this sort of thing, you come across sounding like a pompous blowhard. That's all. Nothing personal.

  • Comment removed

  • @Criticalperspective2 How is my comment contradictory? Again, I didn't mention whether I agree with your criticism or not. If I actually I agree then you too are arrogant and naive in your conception of music. Go back and read what I actually wrote and tell me where I disagreed with your criticism.

  • @Criticalperspective2 It's the sign of a real amateur musician to think that greatness of a song is proportional to the complexity of the chord progression. The absolute genius composers could do both, make ludicrously complicated chord progressions as well as make beautiful, moving pieces out of the simplest things. The fact is, he's self taught, so you can't expect him to have any formal music theory education that would produce music with complex chord progressions.

  • @Burne114 I never claimed that complexity of chord progression is a synonym of musical greatness. In fact, I was the first one to claim the opposite, if you read my first comment.

  • @Criticalperspective2 And it's silly to say the good music needs rhythmic structure. Especially music that is being created on the spot, many good jazz solos have little obvious rhythmic structure, especially jazz piano.

  • Comment removed

  • @Criticalperspective2 too much technical details. Just look into people's heart and you are going to find you own answer. Music is not just technicians issues. Break rules and live music freely is better

  • @dartaza What do you mean by "looking into people's heart"?

  • @Criticalperspective2 I mean, what people usually feel when they can hear that music. :-)

The artists shoudn't have limits to create. That's why some pictures are great for some people and says nothing for another ones.

  • @dartaza Yes, but somehow, when you have 11 years of experience in jazz piano, it's not possible to only "look into people's heart" when it comes to analysing music. Merely describing my emotions is a normal thing to do, but I can assure you that in a music degree, when critically analysing a given piece, teachers don't ask you "what do you feel" but more like "what is going on in these bars?"

Keith Jarrett is the master of jazz impro, yet,has a strong theoretical backgorund.

  • @dartaza Continued (part 2). Don't let theory put you off. :)

  • @Criticalperspective2 I understand both sides. Another brick in the wall represents very well a side of all this. No offense

  • @dartaza I don't really grasp your metaphor?

  • @Criticalperspective2 Hey! teachers leave the kids alone! Got it?

  • @dartaza I'm not sure I actually get it, put it more simply? But if I think I know what you mean, to make it clear, I'm a student myself!!

  • @dartaza obviously @Criticalperspective2 doesn't understand your statement because they don't have a heart themselves...

  • @terpie51 Are you a baby or what? I'm 20 you're much older than me. Why do you say that? Gosh

  • Give this guy a synth and he would make angels have orgasms.

  • as amazing as this guy is i feel bad for him he can never be a real music artist bce in the vid he said he can play the same song again :( nooooo i wish he wouldnt have said dat

  • @gryphondaw9 If you haven't noticed, he already has a cd outs It doesn't matter if he can't play it again, with the help of directors and producers, they can put his music to paper, he can learn to read music and thus replay his completely original pieces.

  • I wish this one could have gone on forever....such a moving musical and visual performance!!

  • Chooka is a, MUSICAL GENIUS, PIANO CONQUER, THE ALMIGHTY HANDS, AND THE AUSTRALIAN BADASS.

  • Yeah absolut incredible

  • Something is wrong with youtube, there's a dislike button for this video!

  • Australia redneck accent - comprehension IMPOSSIBRU! :D

On the other hand, he's just... Beyond words.

  • @TheSerbianbeast You obviously haven't ever visited Australia. He's not a redneck - just a country boy!

  • he fingered a girl one's she stills having an orgasm D:

  • @imxDannyel09322 *once

  • great playing, especially since hes not formally trained.. but i have a problem with people saying they improvise on the spot because they dont.

he is good... its just that he does practice tons of hours everyday probably and there fore he picks bits and pieces from thigns hes stumbled upon his hours of playing around on the piano.

but i guess it is made up on the spoot because none of what he played is formally written down so everytime he plays something its always different...

  • If anybody else but this prodigy wins they will never be herd of again cause thats how it is. If chooka wins then he will be up there with the best piano players in the world

  • @M3gaR3ZA Jack vidgen won he's a 15 year old singer.

  • I like all the music he makes up. He is different from the great composers such as Mozart, Chopin and the rest of the great ones that have given us a lot of symphonies. When he gets older he may start to listen to what the great ones have created and come up with other things that are equal or better than what they achieved in his style of music. To me, he is incredible. If he went on tour in the USA and he came to my city, I would go to see him play.

  • this kind of people lose in this kind of shows because of retarded people voting for the most prettiest or i dont know, the one's that not deserve to win... i call that ''elementary-school-girl-with-a-phone'' disorder.

chooka, maximum respect to you... your epicness can't be measured

  • @thundermyth thank you, you are a true music lover!

  • How did he NOT WIN?

  • @fixierideuk Fuckin' spoiler. holy shit.

  • is it true that he hasn't trained before? he must be like a wonderchild, or what it's called

  • @greenbabe92 What do you mean never trained before? He's trained for years he just taught himself to play piano. If you train enough you can improvise it spot on but he is amazing in it.

  • Some who comment here seem to be living in a time warp - as well as overseas. In the months since he was on this show he has been performing regularly, playing improv as well as pieces from his album .He records everything he plays and has more original material than most musicians can produce in a year. He's taking his career one step at a time and able to do things his way. He's moved on from this point in time - perhaps everyone else should too.

  • @megclif

Sounds interesting, tell me more! I would love to hear more :D

  • He screws himself out of ever getting a contract at 5:39

  • @PPCLOCK I see what you mean, they may think he's been lying the whole time and had already written songs but then again he's still impressive.

  • @TrueDebater

Nah, what I mean is no one will contract anyone who can't produce the same high quality identical song every time. I know that's crappy, but it's less risky than "a bad night".

He should have kept that part quiet. and left the suggestion that he can memorize everything he plays.

  • @PPCLOCK doesnt matter... what gives money to music today is live show.

a good example of that, is you watching him on Youtube. lol

  • @Sincrol

    1. I doubt he posted this

    2. I don't see an adsense advert in this video

    3. Well I just like the number three and pretending you understand that just watching , does not equal income.

  • @PPCLOCK did you paid to see this video? no.

would you pay to se him playing life? i would.

    Thats what i mean.

  • @PPCLOCK Fans posted all of these videos!! :)

  • Take a good look people, this is what genuine talent looks like. If you need light shows, make up, costumes, dancers and the like, you are distracting the people from noticing you have no talent.

  • @onepoundpull I so agree with you! So much music today is not actually about the music, but the gimmicks that are added to distract you...Chooka is raw talent and pure genius there is no doubt about that in my mind....Thanks for your comment

  • @onepoundpull I so agree with you...today so much 'music' put out there is not actually about the music but the gimmicks that have been added to distract you away from what it actually is (rubbish)...Chooka is raw talent, pure genius and an amazing musician in the true sense of the word...thanks for your comment...Cheers

  • Took a lot of guts to put that rubbish out on national tv

  • @leartiste2001 What rubbish?

  • Comment removed

  • @KevinR3i Isn't that what a song is made up of? chords, harmony, arpeggios?? Yes it might have an inconsistant melody but it does have recurring sections, Ideas and form of structure...You're acting like every song in the world has to have a simple melody and Idea...I don't call this noise I call this genius.

  • @chaz9123 Exactly. I was telling my family and friends about Chooka and we all agreed that although the melody is incosistent, it is still awesome piano playing and in an improv, not everything has to be consistent. Heck I am a formally taught pianist and even for me I find improv to be a lot of fun to play and trying different things in songs. Either way, Chooka is incredibly gifted and deserves success.

  • He's even better than Chester See playing... by fucking far Dayum.

  • omfg chuck norris!! no i was just chooka =P

  • See more Chooka clips on following channels: chookaparker1, terpie51, kwansiumui, MariaEagle, 67lachlan :)

  • It's not "just a country boy", people on the country are far better of than the media-f*cked city folks.

  • @feastures And, isn't it nice to see someone with talent that stands on its own? No strobe lights, no sequins, no platinum hair, no distracting dancers. Thank you, Chooka. Just as Simon Cowell said to Paul Potts, "You're a breath of fresh air." Hope life and stardom are treating you well. Just bought "No Worries." This fan in Marin County, California loves it.

  • @TheShizue777 Thank you so much for those words! I'm a huge fan and I feel just the same way as you! :)

  • @terpie51 We're definitely on the same page. Thumbs up all the way for real talent! Happy, happy 2012!

  • FREE REPLAY BUTTON AGAIN - - -> 1:55

  • Chooka is incredible but the Mozart references are pushing it...

  • rofl please kylelandry

  • thanks god! he finally made me sleeep last night, thx chooka

  • Hello I never say I hated him or he was not good! I just said he would not be able to play very fast! I saw his grand piano performance and yes that is a grand but I can assure you the keys are practically like a honky tonk. I will admit it, he's okay, his style is a little repetitive but if he got piano lessons for a while, he would be able to express whatever he does in a much greater way. I apologize if I've hurt anyone's feelings, @bentarrow169 @terpie51 @0091vincetny @megclif

  • @BarwinguezVId That I can agree with. If he could get a bit of piano lessons, it would enhance him even more, but I think the level he is at right now is quite incredible. I know many self taught pianists who have played for longer and cannot play anything like this on any type of keyboard instrument.

  • I can't believe Jack Vidgen won.

  • @xMissSamPiano16x i know..what a poof!!!

  • Give him a Grand piano cheapos. I will say, he wouldn't be able to do half the stuff he just did. Take it from an actual pianist

  • @BarwinguezVId This was 6 mths ago. Check his playing of a grand piano in the clip from the Maryborough Art Society - the 15min one - where he does even more and better than this. Take it from an actual pianist!

  • @BarwinguezVId ah jealousy jealousy...a vicious thing...lol if u gave him a grand piano, within 2 days he would do the same thing mr. "actual pianist"-i can't believe how jealous angry fucks like you can't even keep it for themselves but are so frustrated they can't hold it in

  • @BarwinguezVId Inboxed you - have a look at Chooka play on a grand piano!!! He is a genius and you don't know it just yet. Cheers mate!!

  • @BarwinguezVId actual pianist or jealous pianist???

  • ´perhaps he´s an engle in discaise . amayzing..its sooo beautifull...

    greetings from Denmark....

  • Chooka I dont care who the haters think you are! I don't care even if you don't do everything that you say you can do - you are a GENIUS! I have witnessed what you can do! You had a hard life when you were younger, people rejecting you because of your abilities - most people here forget you are only 17!! (just because the camera makes you look older). You of all people deserve happiness - you make so many people happy! Keep that smile on your face young man and keep doing exactly what you want!

  • He's right this was the best performance, I'm lost for words really!

  • This piece is extremely complex and this is why many here who are not used to listening to complex music (probably only listen to rap or hip hop, yo ho monotones) are knocking Chooka. For those of us who are familiar with classical and other complex forms of music are able to understand and appreciate the beauty and magnificence in this piece!

  • @terpie51 Agree with you 100%!!! There are some crazy, wonderful things going on here: delightfully artistic transitions in mood, dynamics and style, an unerring "soundness" to his fingering and harmonic accuracy, some interesting rhythmic things going on near the beginning... but the untrained ear wouldn't catch half of it!! I also like his rapidly-developing stage presence: he's going to be a wonderful entertainer.

  • @altareggo Thank you altereggo, you are making me cry! Because Chooka deserves the truly appreciating audience that people like you can be for him. I don't know anything of the formal technicalities of his music but I an understand what you are saying about the transitions (and they flow) and I can hear and appreciate the melodic perfection of this piece even as an avid listener of complex music (like Danni) thanks so much!

  • Bloody amazing!!!!

  • hmm 21

  • muddy sound

  • @letsif Watch his hands. Its so fast, it sounds like its muddy.

  • Damn it..i am 42 years old, and i havent found what to do well....

  • 21 ppl thought they were clicking dis i like

  • Id expect the piano to burst into flames after hes done... because that keyboard was graced with the almighty hands of chooka and it just couldnt take the sheer intensity of it anymore.

  • if you just tweeze the eyebrows a little he could be orlando bloom's identical twin

  • this kid is an honest to God musical genius

  • The Chooka doesn't follow music, music follows him.

  • I don't 'like' this tune, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Look at Chookas face at 2.44 - he is just feeling that music so deeply and giving it his everything! I don't want to quit this obsession I have with his music....

  • the power is in the monobrow..

  • Okay, umm... any keys he DIDN'T hit? lol. Love this guy.

  • Incredible piano playing mini Johnny Depp? i'll take him!!!!!

  • he sholudv won this, but he wouldnt make much profit as jack. Stereotipe people fuckem all, chooka prove them wrong

  • When I dream my brain creates songs but when I wake up in the morn, I've forgotten them all. This lad is a genius and makes me want to get rid of my facebook and other distractions and back into my piano playing.

  • xD I want one!

  • Prodigieux surtout à 16 ans.

  • ...and then Jack Vidgen won wtf
