Now? I've seen plenty of cars in the early 90's with limiters. Most cars have a limiter if they're in park - I know I looked at something at a lot that had a limiter at 3k RPM in park but it would rev fine if you put it in neutral. Surprising that this has a limiter for neutral though, most cars it's only in park.

all you people r stupid my dad has one and when my friends come over i show off and rev the engin for them. the splutter starts at 4200 rmp losers. you can rev up to 6500 but whats the need it sounds like a nascar

nascars dont sound like that! Also if you are wise enough you should know that most cars on N or on manual N switch the engines off at 4000rpm, its like a childs lock.

if hes really buying one you should tell him to just get the coupe. i have the convertable. its a great car still, but the top is just not quality and at high speeds i can hear the wind coming through the cracks and its very annoying, plus the coupe is faster and safer.

I'm surprised about the 500-600rpm of the engine when you didn't push the throttle. I've never seen an engine turning so slow at the ralenti.

I got an XKR too, but i never understood why when revving it stopped at 4500, so there is a limiter?
