A fanciful idea that needs to be fully proof of concept tested and independently verified - it reminds me of the London to Paris air race early last century, remember the movie those "Magnificent men in their flying machines" - every weird and wonderful type of invention but few ended up commercialised.

This devise is an actual concept. It has a gearbox that converts the oscillation into unidirectional motion.
