Ignorance! City Year (which this advert is for) is a NON-PARTIZEN NON-PROFIT organization. It consists of youths who willingly volunteer their time to tutor children and re-build communities. The clip of them doing physical training in the red jackets is a way to be visible in the community and spread the message of the good they do. City Year is nothing if not about diversity of people and ideas! Please do your research before speaking negatively of organization that does so much for children.

If you paid attention, the staring of the class was not the "community" form but the "discipline" form. The teacher notes their discipline, and commends them, but then goes on to tell them that their discipline is nothing w/o community, which is, as you say, interaction and working together, be it for good or evil purposes.

In other words, I'm helping my students become better functioning people in society by giving them the basic skills to do so. Our main mission right now is to reverse the nation's drop out crisis. Every year, 1 million kids drop out of high school!
