@uncoolkid2 no syringe came with this kit I added it in & the needle helps at irrigating a wound. There are no meds that I'll push via the syringe with this simple FAK. Thanks
im glad you did this review i was considering this kit for the bag. like usnerdoc is a navy medic i am a army medic and like his kits too. this kit seems nice but would you say it was worth the price for the amount of stuff. great advice. 5/5
@FixedByDoc Hey Doc, great question about the value of this FAK. In short, yes I do think it's worth the cost. Right now it's around $30 & when I received mine I unloaded it on the table to see all of the contents. I made augmentations in the direction of USNERDOC's level 1 mod 2 kit & am very pleased with what I ended up with.
@usframe your welcome, after Nutn did his level one then USNERDOC's did his I knew that I needed to take a second look at my FAK. There seemed to be alot of supplies needed to make out this awesome kit, but very doable. I found this .9 version to be helpful for the guys out there that may be short on time like myself. thanks for the comment
@Tacticalgearhead No problem brother! You can build your FAK from ground up, but this will save time and money and the ultralight .9 is well rounded out of the box. take care
@CampfireTalk I started from scratch on my FAKs, just had stuff dumped in a cabinet -- of course not useful away from home. So I have made a big project for myself, I decided to make a couple level 2s, four level 1s (two more like 1.5!) and several P-FAKs so bulk purchases worked better for me. If you're just building one level one, this is very cost effective (now that I've priced out all the supplies recently). I like the AMKs a lot, they seem the best equipped, breadth and depth.
Outstanding review an some excellent advice. I think the Adventure Medical Kit Ultralight .9 is a great jump start kit and and excellent base kit to supplement.
Love the advice "to pre-flight" gear. This is applicable to every system, kit or activity we pursue.
I am very much looking forward to future reviews and videos. 5/5 my friend!
@USNERDOC Thanks Doc, I havn't found anything better out there than your level 1 mod 2 kit. I wanted to show a prepackaged option that could save time and money plus guide dudes to the supplies that make out your mod 2 kit.
Thanks for the comment and I'm also looking forward to your upcoming videos!
Where is the best place to buy a level 1 fit? Do all level 1 kits basically contain the same stuff?
