Ill answer all your questions in one comment. OK. This game was based on a true story. The Jackal, your character "not the name", the APR and UFLL, and Reuben (the photographer) were all real. Reuben is still alive and wrote a book. We dont know if the Jackal killed himself because his body was never found. You killed yourself because: A: You had the most severe case of Malaria that couldnt be cured so u chose the painless way. And B: The US government wouldnt let u into the country.

It would have been cool if they made it so that the ending sequence involved you taking the gun out and going to a corner and ACTUALLY shooting yourself, and instead of the game shooting for you, you had press the fire button to pull the trigger and kill yourself. Cause WHY THE HELL would you give the briefcase to the guy WITH THE GUN STILL IN IT? So he can shoot himself? WTH?!

I personally think this ending is better, because it forces you to come to terms with the fact that you have realized what the Jackal said - you have realized that there is no way to 'cleanly' kill someone. You are immersed in the game and the ideas of its antagonist (or should that be protagonist?). And finally, you are forced to accept that you are evil and shouldn't leave alive. Slightly disturbing game fr me, but very good.

This ending... just didn't make any sense. I think most players could figure out the Jackal just wasn't going to kill himself. Plus, with this diamonds ending, it never actually shows the player killing their self.I must have had more than 100 diamonds left over; I think I could've easily found a way out of Africa.

There's no reason why we couldn't have found a way (like remote det explosives) to cap the Jackal and take care of the rest ourselves. I was pretty impressed by the game until then.

Damn it sucks how they kill themselves. This may sound wierd but I thought the "cancer" was the type of people the Jackal and you are: Weapon loving killers that cause this pain everywhere they go. Jackal used to be against the weapon distributors, now he's one of them. Your guy is headed down the same road. That's why I think they kill themselves (theoretically for the Jackal anyway).

Jackal and Player are both severe terminal cases of Malaria. They're obviously not going to be returning back home after their sickness and crimes, so that is why they commit suicide. Either you shoot yourself and the jackal blows himself up, or vice versa. They take charge of their life right to the end.

i played it on ps3 and the graphics were really awesome. like on pc with an i dont now graphic card with about 2000 mb. it was really good.

well, you have a really bad case of malaria. so even IF you don't shoot yourself, your going to die anyway. The pills you took treated the symptoms, not the actually disease. If you check your journal, sickness is at level 5. So his about to die from a severe case of malaria. In that case, I would rather take the bullet to my head

You go on top of the mountain on the hut where you make your choice, then use the battery on the dynamite and you blow up yourself to pieces...

Then, end cutscene, the guy when you met mikes bar who gave you that tape, is on the mountain (other side), seeing the huge blast, a few citizens with one carrying the case of diamonds.
