@nikosf3n Funny... I never heard that from an american/australian...apparently the stereotype is right! Americans and Australians ARE stupid! And you can see im not american because I said Australians, not Austrians so please fuck off...
This is f***ing awesome!!! In F1 they would be penalized something like 20times, while in the other series this is considered like a normal racing anger... I hate the new F1 way of judging.. :( i wanna villeneuve-arnoux battles back!!!
@Alfatester villeneuve and arnoux didn't push each other out the way. with touring cars a bit of contact is okay/expected, but just pushing somebody out of the way seems slightly against the spirit of fair competition. are you telling me you would happily accept being pushed out of the lead of a race?
@JackDavis16 gilles and rene arrived at contact many times, but however, No, i wouldn't be happy of course, but lately the stewards are going to be too strict. I love fair racing, don't be fooled by my words, but a bit of racing anger doesn't hurt anyone imho
@Alfatester yeah i agree on that point. i think doorhandle to doorhandle, side by side contact is fair enough if you are making an overtake. but simply to push someone wide (from behind) off the racing line to get past seems slightly unfair and requires no skill. that's my only problem. in F1 the stewards have been investigating every incident because the drivers themselves wanted that to happen. but it does seem to be going a bit far.
@JackDavis16 Of course man, if i push u out of the track, i am a dumbass, but if we do the corner side by side and maybe a little contac happens, well... that's RACING! :D
I'm a big NASCAR fan, but I LOVE road course racing and shit like this is the reason why.
Its too bad that NASCAR gets such a negative rep becuase that series has some of the best road course racers in the world as well. Check out the 2011 Montreal finish for the ACTUAL best last lap I've ever seen:
@grandmasterj5 Have to agree with you on that. Only got it on my tv a few races before the end of the championship but near the end of that race i was standing up with my hands on my head. If you knew me i never make a sound usually when i'm watching sport but that was really too much.
@bduddy55555 actualy now that i watch it again the 2nd place car passing should have been penalized. the 1st place car attempted to turn but the 2nd place car was blocking the way
if the blue guy actually turned and went through the corner like he was supposed to, he wouldve won. instead he was stubborn and they both missed it, putting the red guy ahead as he was on the right, for the right turn
What the fuck..? Do you really wish to be called an idiot or something?
I was expressing my opinion about F1 (worldwidely most popular motorsport) being boring nowadays, because of all the computerization and lack of excitement.
V8 Supercar races (not nearly as popular) do not use computers as much.

Look; If I say "I like chocolate ice cream more than Strawberry ice cream", then am I fucking comparing them? No, I am not.

Matter of taste and opinions are NOT comparisons.
Try to learn to fucking basic things and stop being a total retard.
Nope, then I'm expressing my MATTER OR TASTE, that which one I prefer over the other one.
If I was comparing them, then I would say "#1 tastes better than #2, BECAUSE-" followed by the reasons WHY I think #1 is better than #2. THAT is when the expression of opinion and taste becomes a comparison.
I'm sorry, but if a basic thing like that is too hard for your brain to handle, then I suggest you go back to elementary and study everything all over again.
That's not the best finish ever. If you want the best finish ever search "Kurt Busch vs Ricky Craven Darlington 2003" Now that is the most insane finish i have ever seen.
@dualCranKy I don't watch circle racing only Grand am, F1, WTCC, BTCC, V8 supercars and and the Le mans series. But when it comes to best finish i don't care that it was circle racing it was still an amazing finish.
@XLValenciaXL yea but oval racing is made for close finishes and changing positions, proper racing is much more satisfying because a close race like this takes so much talent and will, in that nascar race it was just two cars trying to take each other out...
I agree that it was a great moment for nascar but it isn't as spectacular as seeing two cars battle for the racing line and using unintended rainy lines to get past!
@FerrarisRock I would argue that close finishes and changing positions and spectacular crashes is the essence of proper racing. Those are the moments that make the highlights package of any form of racing. NASCAR seems to have more such moments than the tedious processions of road racing, which is hardly a criticism of NASCAR. The video shown here was not bad, but you routinely see much better in NASCAR. To tell the truth, V8SC is mostly quite a dull category, notwithstanding the odd good race.
That was Van Gisbergen's race, when he has the inside line like that, Jamie should have allowed him through, I think a lot of favouritism is being shown to 888 these days.
Jamie Whincup is the best driver in the field for the last couple of years. Just because Jamie couldn't go through the turn because the giz was there doesn't me that he should be penalized.
@afr126 Damn, thats racing. It's like the F1 race in Monza this year when Schumacher hold back Hamilton for alot of time with hard moves and kept the race interesting. After he let Hamilton pass through the race was shit and boring. Have you ever watched the battle between Villeneuve and Arnoux? Man, I miss those times.
@6665hitm4k3r Yeah. True racing like this video is why I watch V8S every time it appears on Motors TV. F1 is now about who is the youngest and who has the best car, even more so when the 2 are combined. Monza was my last straw, and when Schumacher would have been "penalised for blocking" I turned off my TV and watched, would you believe it, France 1979 (Villeneuve-Arnoux duel) to remind me of how F1 used to be.
@mizayuki Am I missing something ? van Gisbergen was on the inside but missed the chicane meaning Whincup had no choice but to continue straight on. Gis was at fault here.
@saintsrulz no, but one look at your profile, i can profile you enough to safely assume youve never raced with shane. and have probably never even been out to a track day. Even if you have thats not that impressive, my grandma has been out to track day with her camry xle and oxygen strapped to her face.
Not true, Van Gisbergen was on his inside, and Whincup was boxed in. Whincup would've had to run through Van Gisbergen's car to make the turn, and if he had put on the brakes, the car behind would've had no where to go but into Whincup.
@Esparko2 - Nah. They don't penalize for cutting the chicane, not if one person does it and the other doesn't. Whincup went through it, but Van Gisbergen cut through.
@scoot24925 Neither driver slowed down, In fact, Van Gisbergen was on the inside and didn't try to make the chicane while Whincup at least turned in. You'd have to penalize both if you penalize one, since you can hardly hand one driver who cut the chicane the lead to punish the other for doing the same thing at the same time.
@portugalfan10 they made contact and neither of them would of made the chicane without going into a wall or another car, so they both went through so neither of them gained anything out of it - fair racing, all legal
@portugalfan10 if u have no other possibility else causing a collision, yes. in this case the red car had to cut because the other car was next to him so he had no chance to drive the normal way. so its ok
Why are you guys bringing NASCAR into this? Series like these are short and exciting like F1 where as NASCAR is about patience and endurance like Le Mans.
@tabuu13 Not always. As with Vettel at Suzuka this year, he wasn't allowed to push to catch up with the drivers in front to secure the championship...
@KERNOWHAM123 no you not getting it. In f1 you can;t make a mistake or hit somebody like this . in F1 car they are concentrade on aerodynamic if some part of the car is gone or break then the aerodynamic will failed and the car would go very slow
Balls, you got it, or you don't. :o

You'd have to penalize both if you penalize one, since you can hardly hand one driver who cut the chicane the lead to punish the other for doing the same thing at the same time.

@gturner38 thats right, sorry i didn't see the blue car was over the chicane too, fair enough ,no penalty needed there.

If only all racing commentators got this excited over the on track action. What a race!
JRRacing64 4 months ago

It's not "The best" if there no crashes.

portugalfan10 4 months ago 24

66606cl66 3 months ago
@portugalfan10 in that case yes
solorider201 3 months ago
@portugalfan10 Yes, if it doesnt change the outcome of the race.
nightfox272 3 months ago
@portugalfan10 they made contact and neither of them would of made the chicane without going into a wall or another car, so they both went through so neither of them gained anything out of it - fair racing, all legal
Lemon0Tart 3 months ago
@portugalfan10 if u have no other possibility else causing a collision, yes. in this case the red car had to cut because the other car was next to him so he had no chance to drive the normal way. so its ok
kanackemitbart 3 months ago
@portugalfan10 No, but both cut the chinca so no advatange for anyone.
Gatotsu2009 3 months ago
@portugalfan10 Yes, since neither could make it safely through without causing an accident, and also if no position is gained it is legal.

Real racing! All going for glory, whereas F1 is ALL about saftey and points. I'm very impressed! Them last few laps were phenominal.

Why are you guys bringing NASCAR into this? Series like these are short and exciting like F1 where as NASCAR is about patience and endurance like Le Mans.

'Great Driving Great Driving!' In formula 1 it would be please back off, we want to bring the cars home blah blah boring blahhh
KERNOWHAM123 4 months ago 39
@KERNOWHAM123 In Formula 1, they'd be racing, because they're two different teams.
tabuu13 4 months ago
@tabuu13 Not always. As with Vettel at Suzuka this year, he wasn't allowed to push to catch up with the drivers in front to secure the championship...
KERNOWHAM123 4 months ago
@KERNOWHAM123 Unless it's Mclaren Mercedes.

@KERNOWHAM123 You obviously don't watch the sport, then.
FormulaVid 4 months ago
@KERNOWHAM123 no you not getting it. In f1 you can;t make a mistake or hit somebody like this . in F1 car they are concentrade on aerodynamic if some part of the car is gone or break then the aerodynamic will failed and the car would go very slow
