  • Balls, you got it, or you don't. :o

  • Great battle

  • This is racing, not F1 faggots..

  • @nikosf3n Funny... I never heard that from an american/australian...apparently the stereotype is right! Americans and Australians ARE stupid! And you can see im not american because I said Australians, not Austrians so please fuck off...

  • I saw it in Egypt

  • This is f***ing awesome!!! In F1 they would be penalized something like 20times, while in the other series this is considered like a normal racing anger... I hate the new F1 way of judging.. :( i wanna villeneuve-arnoux battles back!!!

  • @Alfatester villeneuve and arnoux didn't push each other out the way. with touring cars a bit of contact is okay/expected, but just pushing somebody out of the way seems slightly against the spirit of fair competition. are you telling me you would happily accept being pushed out of the lead of a race?

  • @JackDavis16 gilles and rene arrived at contact many times, but however, No, i wouldn't be happy of course, but lately the stewards are going to be too strict. I love fair racing, don't be fooled by my words, but a bit of racing anger doesn't hurt anyone imho

  • @Alfatester yeah i agree on that point. i think doorhandle to doorhandle, side by side contact is fair enough if you are making an overtake. but simply to push someone wide (from behind) off the racing line to get past seems slightly unfair and requires no skill. that's my only problem. in F1 the stewards have been investigating every incident because the drivers themselves wanted that to happen. but it does seem to be going a bit far.

  • @JackDavis16 Of course man, if i push u out of the track, i am a dumbass, but if we do the corner side by side and maybe a little contac happens, well... that's RACING! :D

  • Not best ever, but very good

  • he didn't got any penalty for his drive through of that chicane ?

  • Formula... what?

  • I'm a big NASCAR fan, but I LOVE road course racing and shit like this is the reason why.

Its too bad that NASCAR gets such a negative rep becuase that series has some of the best road course racers in the world as well. Check out the 2011 Montreal finish for the ACTUAL best last lap I've ever seen:

    /watch?v=2Cawy4kU9uk

  • @Slotten68 Nah the montreal finish where edwards beat ambrose in the last corner was better than that

  • This is what racing is all about!

  • 1:18 the right mirror! Huh!

  • Whincup cheated at the first turn...

  • BSB brands hatch 2011, need i say more. ;)

  • @KMpugless That don't count as its bike racing, Car racing will always have the advantage :)

  • Even blind people would love this =D

  • Damn those cars sound good! :D

this was a good battle, but the best final lap I've ever seen?

type "final lap british superbikes 2011" into youtube search.

The two leaders are fighting for the championship, on the last lap, of the last race of the season.

It's one of the most epic title deciding battles I've ever seen in motorsports.

    Enjoy!

  • @grandmasterj5 Have to agree with you on that. Only got it on my tv a few races before the end of the championship but near the end of that race i was standing up with my hands on my head. If you knew me i never make a sound usually when i'm watching sport but that was really too much.

  • omg goooooood race

  • You don't see that in touring everyday! WOW!!!

  • Best final laps ever are those of the battle between Villeneuve and Arnoux

  • V8 Supercars is certainly one of the best racing series in the world right now.

Always a great atmosphere and most importantly great close ''rubbing is racing'' touring car racing.

    I absolutely love it!

To bad pretty much all races are in Australia otherwise I would go and see them for sure!

  • 0:40 Should have penalized them both

  • @bduddy55555 dont they normaly only penalize them like that if one of them protest

  • @ryan129994 The third place car should have been the winner - he was right behind them and didn't cut the track

  • @bduddy55555 actualy now that i watch it again the 2nd place car passing should have been penalized. the 1st place car attempted to turn but the 2nd place car was blocking the way

  • @bduddy55555 you right!!

  • Nice racin'

  • Welcome to Forza Motorsport.

  • Good vid! British Superbikes (BSB) final race and final lap was the best race I ever seen.

  • most entertaining race series in the world

  • 2 other good final laps were F1 Canada 2011 (Vettel vs Button) and MotoGP Catalunya either 2010 or 2009 (Rossi v Lorenzo).

  • @Nickomfacc What about Kobayashi and Massa at Canada 2011

  • @siloPIRATE I don't remember it. Link?

  • @Nickomfacc Youtube won't let me post the links, but search Massa vs Kobayashi Canada and the first two videos will show you everything

  • @siloPIRATE wow that was pretty awesome too. Canada 2011 was a good race.

  • if the blue guy actually turned and went through the corner like he was supposed to, he wouldve won. instead he was stubborn and they both missed it, putting the red guy ahead as he was on the right, for the right turn

  • The Final of the CART Grand Prix at Portland in 1997 was very nice, too!

  • 0:42 Wait since both of them went through the chicane like that, shouldn't both of them been penalized?

  • Not as good as the 1991 500cc Suzuka race. Look that one up! :P

  • Were they allowed to skip that chickane? :O

  • epic battle....nuff said

  • if u like battle, watch the one between tander and lowndes at bathurst 2011

    /watch?v=rXRK68aUwE4

  • I'm a nascar fan, and that battle was awesome!

  • damn....now i feel like playing grid :P

  • @pudding231 damn...now i feel like playin LFS ;)

  • @pudding231

grid loooool wtf play a proper game simbin race series games on pc or if u got xbox race pro lol pure simulation :)

  • @pudding231 Play Toca Race Driver 3. There some V8 supercars :)

  • I love these guys, they always fight like they had nothing to lose.. driving on the edge every single moment of the race.

  • I like rally, but honestly..that was an awesome battle :D.

  • Who needs that boring F1 nowadays anyway..?

This is pure motorsport at it's finest; No computer stuff, just the driver and the machine.

    The only thing's you need.

  • @FrozenBlaze You are comparing two completely different sports...

It would be the same as saying "who needs NASCAR when you have F1"

    Utterly pointless argument..

  • @GeneralRushHour

What the fuck..? Do you really wish to be called an idiot or something?

I was expressing my opinion about F1 (worldwidely most popular motorsport) being boring nowadays, because of all the computerization and lack of excitement.

V8 Supercar races (not nearly as popular) do not use computers as much.

The driver is a much bigger factor and the overall racing is much more exciting and interesting to watch.

    No comparisons.

    Opinions > arguements.

    Have a good day.

  • @FrozenBlaze I think you are the idiot here. YOU ARE COMPARING TWO DIFFERENT SPORTS!!!!

One is made for the audience the other is not.

One have state of the art technology the other does not.

two different sports that should not be compared at all. idiot.

  • @GeneralRushHour

I really pity stupid douchebags like you.

There is no comparison whatsoever. The only one doing comparisons here, is you.

Like I said, have a good day. Go derp somewhere else.

  • @FrozenBlaze You are the retarded one here, don´t ever forget that.

  • @GeneralRushHour

Hahhah, I'm not the one making stupid comments about comparisons, when there are no comparisons whatsoever.

You started comparing and I still haven't compared the 2 motorsports together. Only you have.

So I guess that makes you the retarded one, for not seeing and understanding a total failure like the one you just had. Hahhah.

  • @FrozenBlaze Yes you are. You were the one that compared F1 and V8 Supercars.

    ................monkey.

  • @GeneralRushHour

Wow. From what I see, I wrote "Who needs (boring) F1, when there are V8 Supercars".

I have no idea, that where the fuck you see a comparison. It's just an expression of taste.

But I'm done writing to a total dumbass and douche like you for the day, so have fun and enjoy your stupidity. :)

    Bye bye~

  • @FrozenBlaze You are making a comparison of the two in terms of how fun they are too watch.

You are the stupid one here not even realizing it.

  • @GeneralRushHour

    I can''t believe this shit.

Look; If I say "I like chocolate ice cream more than Strawberry ice cream", then am I fucking comparing them? No, I am not.

Comparing requires reasoning, reasoning requires pointing out things that appeal for the person doing the comparison, therefore concluding the comparison with the final outcome.

Matter of taste and opinions are NOT comparisons.

Try to learn to fucking basic things and stop being a total retard.

  • @FrozenBlaze If you say oen tastes better then the other then YES YOU ARE COMPARING THEM..

  • @GeneralRushHour

Nope, then I'm expressing my MATTER OR TASTE, that which one I prefer over the other one.

If I was comparing them, then I would say "#1 tastes better than #2, BECAUSE-" followed by the reasons WHY I think #1 is better than #2. THAT is when the expression of opinion and taste becomes a comparison.

I'm sorry, but if a basic thing like that is too hard for your brain to handle, then I suggest you go back to elementary and study everything all over again.

  • Holy fuck I love V8 Supercars.

  • Excuse the pom with a stupid question but is 'Gold Coast' the same track as 'Surfers Paradise'?

  • @MontyPythonX Yes

  • @MontyPythonX yep :)

  • @MontyPythonX Yep

  • @MontyPythonX yes but they've shortened the track and changed the name of the event

  • yes this is the real motor race....

  • @MrGutley : Are you sure? =/

  • Comment removed

  • the first 3 seconds i thought it was GT5

  • Comment removed

  • that was a shit race. the gizz shuld of put whincup in the wall.

  • @deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds: No, he doesn't want to get nicknamed Ambrose :-)

  • @armorgeddon lol nice one

  • i wish gizzy won

  • Around 0:40 they cut through the chicane, is that legal or what?

  • @Milenium412

    As legal as possible.

  • "what a race"

  • 1:36 the blue car hits the leader and contact lasts too long and he overtakes slowing down the opponent with that contact-penalty...

  • I was on the edge of my seat about to cry it was so amazing

  • The car with the number 9 can do that? I'm not familiar with it.

  • @XLValenciaXL

What about Monza 1971? Top 5 were all within 0.61 seconds of each other!

  • if I were an alien...this is the kind of thing I would listen coming from earth. amazing casting and video.

  • This got me back into watching the V8's again...

  • That's not the best finish ever. If you want the best finish ever search "Kurt Busch vs Ricky Craven Darlington 2003" Now that is the most insane finish i have ever seen.

  • @XLValenciaXL Thats circle racing... boring.

  • @dualCranKy I don't watch circle racing only Grand am, F1, WTCC, BTCC, V8 supercars and and the Le mans series. But when it comes to best finish i don't care that it was circle racing it was still an amazing finish.

  • @XLValenciaXL yea but oval racing is made for close finishes and changing positions, proper racing is much more satisfying because a close race like this takes so much talent and will, in that nascar race it was just two cars trying to take each other out...

I agree that it was a great moment for nascar but it isn't as spectacular as seeing two cars battle for the racing line and using unintended rainy lines to get past!

  • @FerrarisRock I would argue that close finishes and changing positions and spectacular crashes is the essence of proper racing. Those are the moments that make the highlights package of any form of racing. NASCAR seems to have more such moments than the tedious processions of road racing, which is hardly a criticism of NASCAR. The video shown here was not bad, but you routinely see much better in NASCAR. To tell the truth, V8SC is mostly quite a dull category, notwithstanding the odd good race.

  • That was Van Gisbergen's race, when he has the inside line like that, Jamie should have allowed him through, I think a lot of favouritism is being shown to 888 these days.

  • awesome!

  • its not left mirror, its the right one

  • @astig372 From my view it's the left one

  • The car number 1 broke is left mirror at 01:16

  • Jamie Whincup is the best driver in the field for the last couple of years. Just because Jamie couldn't go through the turn because the giz was there doesn't me that he should be penalized.

  • If NASCAR was like this, no one would hate on it.

  • 3rd place should of won. he did the full lap. the 1st and 2nd skiped that left turn....DQ!

  • @afr126 Damn, thats racing. It's like the F1 race in Monza this year when Schumacher hold back Hamilton for alot of time with hard moves and kept the race interesting. After he let Hamilton pass through the race was shit and boring. Have you ever watched the battle between Villeneuve and Arnoux? Man, I miss those times.

And gazza3112 got the point quiet well

  • @6665hitm4k3r Yeah. True racing like this video is why I watch V8S every time it appears on Motors TV. F1 is now about who is the youngest and who has the best car, even more so when the 2 are combined. Monza was my last straw, and when Schumacher would have been "penalised for blocking" I turned off my TV and watched, would you believe it, France 1979 (Villeneuve-Arnoux duel) to remind me of how F1 used to be.

  • bumpin's racin...lol

  • Step 1: Pause and mute Video

Step 2: Open new window, go to to watch?v=tcy5D5UhH44&feature=related and play it

Step 3: Return to this video and enjoy the epicosity

  • No one should have been penalised.

If it were any other track other than this fucking shit excuse, the Gis would have passed Wincup many many laps before the finish.

  • Yeah Van Gisbergen was on the inside,Whincup had no choice to cut the chicane. If anything Van Gisbergen should have been penalised.

  • @MrBrightside9246 Gis' penalised for a legit pass? He was past Whincup, but wasn't given any room. Dickish driving on Whincup's behalf in my opinion.

  • @mizayuki Am I missing something ? van Gisbergen was on the inside but missed the chicane meaning Whincup had no choice but to continue straight on. Gis was at fault here.

  • I would have killed to be there. Wow.

  • go Van Gis - a bucket load of talent and still only a kid!

  • I can not wait for these to come to Austin, TX

  • I think the Ayrton Senna, famous F1 driver, had amazing moments like this every time he set foot in his car.

  • *****BEST SECOND TO LAST LAP EVER!!!

  • THIS IS MOTORSPORT not thei formula 1 shit

  • If I'll never feel the need of reminding myself why I love cars I'll just check this back

  • Id watch v8 super cars if shane van gisbergan wasnt a dick when I raced him in the US

  • @saintsrulz lol you didnt race anyone...

  • @leadzeplinsucksInc Cus you would know my life right? And shanes? Nope.

  • Comment removed

  • @saintsrulz no, but one look at your profile, i can profile you enough to safely assume youve never raced with shane. and have probably never even been out to a track day. Even if you have thats not that impressive, my grandma has been out to track day with her camry xle and oxygen strapped to her face.

  • Wincup lost this race. Very poor rules at the chicane.

  • correct me if im wrong... but i think in each race on the gold coast circuit, each driver is allocated a certain amount of chicane cuts per race?

  • i honestly thought at 1st this was granturismo, or forza lmao

  • car number 1 and 9 are being investigated by the stewards for real racing.

  • @gazza3112 That offense could lead to a DQ in F1.

  • That really sucks! The winner should have penalised!

  • @lefgeo

Not true, Van Gisbergen was on his inside, and Whincup was boxed in. Whincup would've had to run through Van Gisbergen's car to make the turn, and if he had put on the brakes, the car behind would've had no where to go but into Whincup.

  • @lefgeo y

  • @lefgeo This is real racing, no penalties, this is how every motor racing should be!!

  • @lefgeo

    you are wrong

if you watch it 0:40 the red car wanna drive to right corner but the blue car want to block red car

not the winner the blue car should have penalised !

  • They made an Illegal move at the Chicane. Should be disqualified. Great Race though.

  • Amazing!

  • Guna be honest, I've never made a comment on a video thats caused such a stir wouldn't know which to reply to first!

  • is this f1 slow motion mod?

  • Were they penalized for cutting the chicane?

  • @Esparko2 - Nah. They don't penalize for cutting the chicane, not if one person does it and the other doesn't. Whincup went through it, but Van Gisbergen cut through.

  • this is `racing` .. not other bullshits...

  • 0:42 Thats CHEATING!!!! lol

  • so many fuckin haters

  • he cut the chicane, should be penalised cause he didn't slow down

  • @scoot24925 Neither driver slowed down, In fact, Van Gisbergen was on the inside and didn't try to make the chicane while Whincup at least turned in. You'd have to penalize both if you penalize one, since you can hardly hand one driver who cut the chicane the lead to punish the other for doing the same thing at the same time.

  • @gturner38 thats right, sorry i didn't see the blue car was over the chicane too, fair enough ,no penalty needed there.

  • fuckin highly over-rated pieces of shit, they rev n rev, but go nowhere

  • Great last lap, But im sure that was not the best last lap ever?

  • If only all racing commentators got this excited over the on track action. What a race!

  • was good but far from the best :D you really haven't seen proper racing have you son? :p

  • It's not "The best" if there no crashes.

  • is that legal??cut the chicane???

  • @portugalfan10 if it's to avoid an accident i would say so!

  • @portugalfan10 in that case yes

  • @portugalfan10 Yes, if it doesnt change the outcome of the race.

  • @portugalfan10 they made contact and neither of them would of made the chicane without going into a wall or another car, so they both went through so neither of them gained anything out of it - fair racing, all legal

  • @portugalfan10 if u have no other possibility else causing a collision, yes. in this case the red car had to cut because the other car was next to him so he had no chance to drive the normal way. so its ok

  • @portugalfan10 No, but both cut the chinca so no advatange for anyone.

  • @portugalfan10 Yes, since neither could make it safely through without causing an accident, and also if no position is gained it is legal.

  • the title says it

  • Real racing! All going for glory, whereas F1 is ALL about saftey and points. I'm very impressed! Them last few laps were phenominal.

  • Why are you guys bringing NASCAR into this? Series like these are short and exciting like F1 where as NASCAR is about patience and endurance like Le Mans.

  • 'Great Driving Great Driving!' In formula 1 it would be please back off, we want to bring the cars home blah blah boring blahhh

  • @KERNOWHAM123 In Formula 1, they'd be racing, because they're two different teams.

  • @tabuu13 Not always. As with Vettel at Suzuka this year, he wasn't allowed to push to catch up with the drivers in front to secure the championship...

  • @KERNOWHAM123 Unless it's Mclaren Mercedes.

  • @KERNOWHAM123 You obviously don't watch the sport, then.

  • @KERNOWHAM123 no you not getting it. In f1 you can;t make a mistake or hit somebody like this . in F1 car they are concentrade on aerodynamic if some part of the car is gone or break then the aerodynamic will failed and the car would go very slow

  • @MIKRO2323 very poor gramma

  • @KERNOWHAM123 Make sure to use the kers when your passing.
