  • it's pretty, but doesn't make you hard or a good fighter. of course.

  • I see now why asians are so good at breakdancing. they been doing the real thing before hip hop was invented

  • its better when u imagine that theres like an army attacking the person, and they are killing everyone

  • for the love, can we not have a kung fu demo without some crappy rap song over it....at least make it some Wu Tang or Busta instead of some stupid censored shit.

  • QUESTO SI CHIAMA ESIBIZIONISMO NON KUNG FU

  • Very pretty, but it doen't work in a real fight.

  • @akrocuba martial arts were originally created for war purpose, there it means its effective in real fight, but nowdays its limited to being official sport and students are trained to avoid killing an opponent.

I dont really know how its going on in training, but martial artists also must know about humans body and its vital spots to disable enemy fast, but by the looks of today's martial arts i can say it's only choreography that looks cool.

  • Epic always!

  • isnt this back wen mao was takin over china? this is wen the chinese ppl were the strongest in everything they did...

  • this is the best wushu video I have ever seen on YouTube

  • Can you tell me the name of the music used in the beginning of the video presentation of the athletes?

  • bad music

  • damn straight it does

  • Now that is wushu! I am sick about the way it is changing.

  • @zigzigerblat are you referring to the sport or chinese martial arts in general?

  • @iMisogynist No, just contemporary kung fu (aka wushu). Go look up wushu chang quan competitions in China from the last 2 years or so, then youtube the people in this video and compare their chang quan. Too much flash and not enough martial art. They make weird movements with their wrists and do awkward combos for difficulty points. Traditional kung fu to my knowledge is staying the same, however the problem there is teachers dying out and not passing the knowledge on to the next generation.

  • By the way, I practice wushu (contemporary) and love it. My teacher was on the 86 US Wushu Team and trained me for 10 years like the people in this video. I consider myself lucky. I do old school wushu!

  • @zigzigerblat you are so true

  • @Xuanfengjiao720 Thanks man!

  • its a good video if you mute it

  • @Markovnikovs Exactly.

  • amazing video, just awful choice of music...

  • Almeno una volta al mese devo guardare questo video.

  • Love the video!

  • Gota love Dy Sao for posting this :)

    Thanks Dy - Murad

  • One word... Ninjutsu.... but wushu is still a great martial art

  • 3:34 I laughed so hard at the Drunken Fist (醉拳) part!! Greatest Wushu video I've seen so far.

  • damn old school wushu is soo much more interesting than contemporary wushu there is soo much flavor in the movements

  • whats wrong with the music these days all the niggers uploading videos now?

  • @eleszar1

atleast we dont have any gay linken park

or sum gay emo punk rock song BITCH

hip hop n kung fu go togather like

    mac n chese hoe

what u wanna hear some blazing screaming emo

    talking about love n hate

    fuck off

  • @YoungKnoccOut Who the fuck likes linking park u nigger its for 13 years old kids go fking eat some watermelons hip hop shit with guns and cars and motherfuckers and shit, if u will upload a kung fu video with a fking lame rap song mAKE sure u take off all the fking comments u sand nigger

  • @eleszar1 dude whats wrong with you??

  • is wushu like the kung fu?

  • @elielieee similar, but not really the same, because wushu is kind of art, however, kongfu is based on wushu,

  • @MrDanieltang ...hm? i though they were the same, only wushu is the sport aspect for competing compared to the self defense aspect...idk

  • @ONIGATO Wushu is a totally seperate sport. The self defense aspect is called chin-na. The fighting aspect is called san da / san shou. And the bit you're watching is called taolu. Kung fu is nothing like this, trust me (or go to a kung fu school and judge for yourself).

  • @spacebum I train in Wushu side by side with Traditional and Tai Chi, just like those people in the video. Look at the Beijing University curriculum. I have a separate teacher who only does traditional and one for Wushu. All of the wushu moves are traditional moves. They are just taught separate from martial application and they space more aggressive advanced moves together. Traditional is more dense with combat moves and teaches the martial applications.

  • @zigzigerblat Traditional what? Kung Fu is a western term for martial arts. I train in "traditional" and Tai Chi, oh that's right, we call it Wushu. Wushu is not taolu it is all aspects; taolu, san da, tai chi, chin na, animal styles, weapons. I've just come back from training in Beijing at the sports university and it's all taught in one place as Wushu. Different teachers specialise but if you're at a club at home you need to find one who does it all. Or maybe i'm just lucky to have one. Peace

  • @spacebum I live in Cleveland, which means I'm lucky enough to find any schools. My teacher is the only one here who teaches international compulsory forms (that is probably the best way to distinguish what I meant by Wushu vs Traditional). For the other things you mentioned I found other teachers who specialized in those things. I was trying to follow a program like Beijing University with what I had to work with. I always thought of Kung Fu vs Wushu as Hong Kong/Taiwan vs PRC terminology.

  • @spacebum Sorry but no, the "western" term for martial arts is martial arts.

Kung fu is a Cantonese term so therefore it is Chinese and in not western at all.

  • @MrNormalton you don't understand what he is saying! what he means is that 'kung fu' is the term commonly used for chinese martial arts in the western world, while 'wushu' is the term used by people in china. in america, when people say wushu, they usually mean the contemporary performance-oriented sport. in china, wushu just means 'martial art,' and can refer to either the sport or traditional chinese martial arts. 'kung fu' is a term than means 'work and time,' stuck in the american lexicon.

  • esto es artes marciales no lo creo es puro espertaculo joder que mala imagen dan a la artes marciales de verdad

  • just amazing!

  • 3:48 was that necessary? lol

  • kung fu and hip hop, yes

  • the music is raping the kung fu

  • @viperxonic not at all.

  • @viperxonic nah the music is dead on.

  • @viperxonic Isso é minha vida!

  • 1:21 is some serious mad staff skills

  • i know how to defeat the wushu kufu , is to take control of the person chi throught chi kung or the use of telekinetic skill. my device can train a person into that level. to defeat wushu with chi kung level 9 stage 9. with out movement just pure telekinetic. however chi kung and wushu is from the same branch of yoga sutras movement of chi .

  • @kosolouch ........yyyyyeeahh, thats swell

  • is good for self protect

  • how come nobodys wushu looks like this anymore? im going outside 2 play wushu.

  • What BS is this? This has nothing to do with fighting, it is all about style and show. These guys are pussy's! let them fight Brock or Anderson.

  • the only one who is puss is you! why is er body a wushu hater, this is the oldist coolist thing still around. ur just mad cuz you didnit invent it. go watch MMA on TV, im goin outside 2 train.

  • @Catsincages ...Yup still is.....

  • @Catsincages True that... At least a hundred of the 631,000 viewings are mine.

  • they have skill !!!

  • awsome video! thanks for sharing!

  • All these are very famous and previous China National and International Wu Shu and Kung Fu Champions. Of course, there more. You can see their focus, flexibility, balance, speed, power. Do they have to fight with others to prove themselves? No! Just one punch, kick, turn, push, or any move can tell the difference and level.

  • I'm 12 and i do TKD but i am absolutely in NO way close to them.

  • haha aww little Jet Li at 4:11

  • i found it nevermind... this is still my favorite video on youtube!! Wushu for life

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @dancarterx14 He's Zhang Cheng zhong!

  • my new favorite vid..drunken all the way!

  • Jiao !

  • its not the kind of martial arts or fighting styles or how u fight that matters its more about the amount of skill one has. if u can do anything perfectly it shoudl be affective but no one can do anything exactly perfect everytime so dont fight or take offense in what someone says about your prefered style or type of martial arts.

  • I hope I get to be like them in the future

  • Who was the guy in white near the end doing drunken fist?

  • that is where martial arts begin... not xma... :D okay they can do amazing jumps.. but they cant do a f.ckin punch

kyusho jitsu, kung fu, okinawan karate, pencak silat, chi-kung, capoeira, ryue ryu, kempo, todi jutsu etc... every martial arts has the same root... theres no difference between martial art and martial art.... only between people and their toughts... soo Martial Arts 4 life :P:D and sorry for my horible english :D

  • what is this song gangsters?

  • me encanta este video de lo mejor que hay

  • so gooood players

  • this is simply amazing. Wushu is my passion number one. i have always loved martial arts. Both the physical and spiritual side. I dont understand why you guys argue here. Over words? ... =)

  • who give a damn, why can't you just enjoy the video and move on with your life

  • the guys you actually just mentioned are not to compare with wushu fighter..since your guys dont do anything like fighting...what they do is brawling and it really sucks..but i can bet that every single martial artist who's in the wushu video up there^ is actually capable of the same stuff... with the one big difference that they do it for themselves or for shows and not for being able to kill somebody... but if you touch them they kick you from nowhere believe that bro =P

  • das video ist hammergeil gemacht

  • hahaha the stare of death at 1:26

  • simply said, modern wushu exhibits far more stylish and elaborate forms.. it means its not the combat type. instead sanshou, is the combat type but more on the shuai chao or chinese wrestling discipline which had a lot of western influence.. Taolu is the the form type, and Tai Chi, supreme ultimate fist is also a form but concentrates on breathing exercises..

    as for the music, well..

its a free world we live in, if you havent had fun listening to it, then let other people do..

  • Fucking nigger noise doesn't fit the video.

    Dumb son of a bitch.

  • @SpoonfullofSandrock

I agree it wasn't the best choice by the poster, but keep your ignorance to yourself.

  • @SpaceTrollMuthaFuka

Wushu is a form of kunfu. It's not necessarily about combat. Wushu is literally a sport that focuses on the demonstration aspect of kung-fu. So yes, using most of the techniques demonstrated would be absolutely useless in actual combat, but this martial art still requires an immense amount of practice, choreography, and precision. The movements performed in this video are a lot harder than most people think.

  • MMA is for faggots. its boring and no one has any real skills in it and if u get mad over this comment ur prolly one of those mma fanboys who jerks off to ufc, so fuck off :D

  • So where are all the traditional kung fu artists coming into MMA and cleaning up with their real skills?

  • unlike silly americans, they dont need to join the ufc for money or anything, MMA is only for the ones who want big cash real kung fu masters dont need to prove themselves by fighitng with other idiots that use RULES, so sad.

  • So nobody who was good at kung fu ever needed any money, period?

  • im sure they have other ways maybe teaching kung fu or doing a normal job, besides its not like they can jsut get in the ufc rite away they have to earn their spot with other ppl who do boring ground game and shit

  • Are you really saying that the guys in this video- contemporary wushu performers who train exclusively for forms exhibitions and never spar a day in their lives- are capable of fighting? Some branches of *traditional* kung fu are more or less capable of producing good fighters, and the Chinese-influenced kickboxing style of san da is certainly practical, but none of these guys can fight- they train exclusively for looking good. Are you really saying that these guys in particular can fight?

  • mma isnt known for kung fu so y would they compete with them anywayz, theres lots of styles u never see compete in mma, mma doesnt use every style and of course they can fight

  • Do you know what the difference between traditional kung fu and contemporary wushu is?

  • nope

  • Traditional kung fu is the ancient fighting styles of China. The Chinese government didn't like them, because a kung fu school gave people something to be loyal to besides the government and Communism. So in 1949, they banned traditional martial arts in favor of wushu, which removed all of the combat aspects of traditional Chinese martial arts and replaced them with spectacular performances such as those seen in this clip, with emphasis on acrobatic tricks and flashy routines.

  • Some schools of traditional kung fu produce fairly practical fighters...but contemporary wushu is no more 'old school' than Chinese communism and has only the most tenuous of connections to real Chinese martial arts.

  • oh i see the government sucks

  • :D its so funny to read comment like this... you dont speak chinese... am i right? because, if you would speak chinese you would understand the difference between word "kungfu" and "wushu" and you would not write such nonsense.

  • That's right, I don't speak Chinese, I speak English- you know, the language where 'kung fu' is colloquially accepted to mean 'the fighting arts of China'? It may be poor Chinese, but it's perfectly acceptable English. Call them contemporary wushu and traditional wushu if you like, the split between them is real- and that's what matters.

  • i agree with the last sentence... but still the word kungfu has nothing to do with martial arts...at all :D i mean in the chinese language. In chinese, it mean "skill". And that skill can be also in cooking, driving etc. I just want to point out, that many understand word Wushu as a name for competitive style of chinese martial arts. And thats simply wrong. Thank you! :)

  • @PsychoKungFu

I dont think ufc fighters use kung fu

  • @PsychoKungFu yeah, like im american, and i even think that UFC stuff is total ass.

  • @PsychoKungFu i agree with u, but what i dont agree with is that its an american thing, MMA and sports fighting is all over the world, not just america

  • @PsychoKungFu why not just be happy about everything and learn from it? you can even learn from mma. try not to judge so much. a true master does these things, i hope you have matured over the past 8 months since you posted...well not matured, learned/changed, or not have fun.

  • @PsychoKungFu

The UFC has plenty of skilled fighters who train in styles from all over the world. By no means is Chinese Wushu or Kung Fu of any type completely ineffective, if that was the case how would the traditions last the many centuries they have? But the fact of the matter is if you're trained strictly in striking arts as are most modern Wushu practitioners, a simple take down leading to a choke or arm bar can end a fight.

  • @PsychoKungFu

Also, the "rules" you seem to be against are there to ensure the fight doesn't end in death or permanent injury, which in turn ensures the potential for many more years of activity for the defeated fighter. But, essentially, I would seriously doubt you really know anything about martial arts beyond what you've read on wikipedia and seen in Bruce Lee (RIP) movies, and any true appreciator of martial arts is open to all martial arts, despite the fact people are partial to their own

  • @PsychoKungFu

so keep your ignorance and hate speech to yourself.

    Amituofo.

  • @BlueberryDoughnuts

go stuff ur face with doughnuts fattie

  • @PsychoKungFu GO SLIT YOUR WRIST

  • Why does mma and bjj guys always have to comment on all videos that this and that would not work in a cage.. we alredy all know that :P

  • buen video, la cancion muy mala!!!!!!!

  • se esta vien el vide o pero la cancion no ba mejor ubieras puesto la de mortal kombat

  • Wow! Truly amazing displays of skill and athleticism.

  • Those morons in the octagons are all mighty until you ask them to fight for somethin real, i whould pay to see those cheer leaders crying in a batle field (an apology to all real cheer leaders in the world, you have more courage than MMA fighters) they pick MMA because fighting on tv requires zero discipline, they only require muscles and knowing a few bjj moves ( someone ever noticed that they never use the full potential of bjj training wich is pretty large?)

  • If gymnastics were really an effective fighting style someone would do it. MMA proves what works in a real fight, fighting within one style doesn't prove its superiority over other styles.

  • @ikterion You're an idiot.

On an unrelated note this videos is awesome.

  • I totally agree with you about not using the full potential of bjj.

  • @ikterion

alright, challenge an MMA/BJJ etc fighter and see what happens. He doesn't have to be a big name, there are MMA and BJJ gyms all over the place. Everyone on youtube jumps at the chance to "defend" their chosen art and degrade others in the process, but I'd like to see any of them say any of this directly to MMA/UFC fighters such as Georges St. Pierre, Karo Parisyan, or Anderson Silva. Wushu is beautiful, but if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

  • This is fuking gay

  • @SpaceTrollMuthaFuka- your comment is fucking gay.

  • WOW!

  • @terranceJurewiczw

this video is free on YouTube :/

  • @Blogdub hahah dude all ufc is MMA(mixed martial arts) if u put these guys in the octagan chuck lidel, rashad even, or all thoes other fighters will prolly knocked out or dead most of mma is kick bocking and judo or jujitsu wich is grappling, hooking, chokes, locks so you wouldnt want to see one of these guys in the octagan, trust me it would be all bad

  • I say put them all in an octogon and give them both a machete. Those brawlers in the octogons are all mighty until you put a knife in their hands.

  • @LungNinYuen That's retarded.

  • i miss wushu the old way too :(

  • the sward girl in black and red is really amazing. these guys are really good. they are doing true Wushu. WuSHu today has become a jumping competetion.

  • hell yeah,,, i miss the good old days, when doin wushu was painful Xb these kids today can't imagine what we been trough those days. and i'm not so old at all.

  • really, you used to practise Wushu? it is great, i never got a chance to do it, despite becoming a kungfu master is my dream since i was a brat. (you know, because of those novels and movies;-)

  • @darklordtang

you mean zhuang hui? she has a good style, and that fancy split landing was tight, but personally i am more impressed by zhang shao yi... her sword looked very crisp and precise, and her fist is also very strong. top-class shit from all, that's for certain.

  • @darklordtang actually thats what I like in wushu- the jumps

  • The bow at 3:26 is the most beautiful bow I've seen.

  • @vocabulary00

    bo*

    =]

  • i love this video !!!

    old school wushu rules !!

  • If it's so gay, then let's see YOU do it.

  • thats why you gey beat by your sister all the time.

  • not as gay as your bg XD

  • stand up shaolin ground game brazilian gracie jitsu then youre truly well rounded but the video is intense.

  • what style is that at 0:12 (the guy on the ground like a mantis)

  • that's 螳螂拳

  • Comment removed

  • failure fuck to cents i go by the dallor

  • This is very entertaining. The problem with the guys arguing below is they keep using the term kung fu, its not the 1970's!

Kung-fu is a pointless term nowadays, in fact even the term "martial arts" is pointless as no single person can agree what it means, and the people who compile dictionaries and encyclopedias are not any better!

( appologies to people who's style has either of those phrases in its name, I am talking about the general usage of those terms not any specific style).

  • wushu is kung FUN.

say what you want about it, but at least wushu enforces strong basics and explosiveness because it is competitive. most "traditional" schools have atrocious stances, and zero power in their mabu gongbu. it's sad. i want good traditional schools to exist, but there's probably less than a handful left in the world.

  • Both traditional and contemporary Wushu are good.

I think that those guys who are just bashing something its looks, how they "hit wrong" and "dance", and not by the way they actually train, are being idiotic.

  • seriously though, i do wushu AND mma. obviously not all wushu moves can be used, but i can honestly say that getting better at wushu has made me better at mma.

just do whatever makes you happy. anyone who doesn't realize that both wushu and mma are sports, is an idiot. if you feel the need to hate on what others do, you're just showing your insecurity in yourself/what you do.

  • @wooshoo Of course just charging in there with just taolu would be silly. People just don't fight like that.

To be realistic, I think it's moreover the raw training process, fundamentals, and basics of Wushu that gives it its martial quality. Any application would be put into Sanda.

But you make a good point there. I appreciate modern Wushu much more wholly as an art. Anyone who wants to justify it, they can go right ahead. Wushu suits me, period. Peace.
