The whole point of the uniform is that it's not customizable, so you don't have kids standing out or looking offensive to some people. It's generally a lot easier than just a dress code.

I think it's great that you wear heels. Like you said, it makes your legs look longer and it's girlier. Plus it gets you used to walking in them as you may have to wear them when you're in the workplace. Re the half-leg stockings, IMO they're better than full tights, especially in the winter, because it's nice to see some bare leg, and also it's good to get acclimatized to going bare legged, again because it could be required or preferable when you have a job as an adult or just going out.

holy eff. My school was so strict about their uniform. Everyone had to wear the same shoes, the kilt had to be 2-3 inches from the knee (the size of a credit card) and every button on the shirt had to be done up! and the tie right up to the neck! No nailpolish either! nevermind no jackets while at school. sure you can where them TO school, but not once you're on campus! Man, some "uniform" schools are so slack.

My uniform tops were black, navy blue, and white. Our skirts were navy blue and plaid and could not be higher than 3 inches above the knee. My high school lets us wear sneakers but every Wednesday we wear either penny loafers or saddleshoes (heels wouldn't work for us, picture a school cafeteria on Mount Everest). We can wear small amounts of makeup and up to three bracelets per arm. Girls can get away with wearing ties and knee-length socks were extremely popularl. I love my school <3
