Its not illegal to jump over a tackle, but it is to jump into a tackle. Yet the chances of you being able to hurdle any person running towards makes it basically always illegal as they just have to touch you and you have jumped into it.

sadly, i believe that jumping into the tackle is illegal because it is dangerous. could end up with shane ending up on the wrong end of a spear tackle, or kneeing the defender in the face for example.

but yeah, it did look fantastic.

@twetjen10 He didn't jump into the tackle, he jumped out of the way of it (or over it). He jumped in order to evade the tackle, he didn't jump into Ojo.

Contrary to what an earlier post said, the advantage is clearly because Shane knocked the ball forward when later tackled. Had Shane's knee banged into Ojo when in mid-flight he could have been in trouble.
