  • Wundervoll....

  • The conductor acts as if he's a robot.

  • Excellent performance, and the violinist is very beautiful, I like the conductor and reminds me of Carlos Kleiber.

  • All these fine women in this group and all you want to comment about is the conductor ???

  • wonder how much this conductor paid to have this video made

  • genial

  • I would HATE him to be my conductor! He looks like a wind up toy, and moves like one as well, maybe worse.

  • Perfect!

  • WOW! Fantastic! The conductor reminds me of my secondary school teacher. He loved and taught classical music and if we got one note wrong,we were in for it!

  • Fantastic!

  • For an american he did a quite good job conducting. Of course it sounds a bit sleepy, but I have heard much worse performances

  • Brilliant performance!!!

  • Danke, habe Link gesetzt!

  • Why is he so angular?

A little more grace would go a long way.

  • that is Beautiful!! love it

  • Is that Columbo?

  • What a wonderful piece! Mozart wrote it in his teens, no less. I agree, this is a great interpretation--quick and tight.

  • Bravo Maestro !

  • Certified Intergalactic! Woohoo!

  • il direttore è Philip Greenberg; l'orchestra la Bayerische Kammerphilarmonic. Il direttore lo avevo già visto ma ho letto tutto alla fine del video. Comunque Mozart è sempre stupendo, specialmente poi se è suonato così.Ciao e grazie.

  • It is difficult to understand how the Divertimenti come to be played so often so over-fast--as such that one's ears are not even finished listening to the beginning of what they've only just heard before the end is finished of what comes next.

  • It's Mozart, not Chopin.

  • I don't understand this response. Was it meant for someone else?

  • My point was, if this song were by Chopin, musicians would "expect" it to be in a slower, more fluid tone. But, Mozart's music isn't like that as much as Chopin's music is.

  • My comment was in response to someone else and appeared at the wrong place-- Anyway: Some Chopin is extremely fast, and Mozart's music is so varied and diverse that one may not easily generalize how it should be played. A playing of any piece can sound a bit hurried though. At any rate, I'd really like to hear the entire divertimento before assessing further.

  • I'm sorry, my comments often show up in the wrong place and become out of context. I appreciate anyone who endeavors to play Mozart well. Thanks.

  • actually i like it fast

  • i love it

  • excellent

  • very nice. im at a way younger level and we have to play this as an audition into the high school symphonic orchestra. its hard though :(

  • nice

  • Bravo!!

  • I love this song. I just finished playing it with TCO. Great music!

  • hey do u have the music for violin of divertimento K136 presto

  • This excerpt is from a concert given by the Munich based Bavarian Chamber Symphony at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. The conductor is the American conductor Philip Greenberg who is now the Artistic Director/ Conductor of the Kiev Philharmonic of the Ukraine. The rest of the program consisted of the Bach Concerto for Three Violins, the Boccherini Cello Concerto with Xavier Phillips, and Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings. It was broadcast on German Television by Unitel.

  • Beautiful music, Phil G! - See you soon, hopefully...Cathy (Martin's Cathy)

  • what orchestra is this?

  • I don't know but they're excellent

  • Why do you violinists exhibit yourselves and show that you are superior? Go study violin and after your name appears in youtube uploaded by everyone you tell you are good.

  • ....... well done to u u can play this song when ur in grade 6..... geuss what? im in grade 5 but i still can play this song... but not well. i always get the bowing wrong on my violin waaahhh

  • im in the 6 grade and i can play this song yeaa baby LFMS

  • do u have the music for violin for divertimento K 136 presto?

  • Wonderful video!!!!!!!!! Great musical ideas and so clear!!! Thank you so much! But anyone knows the conductor? He is so good!

  • at the end it says it's directed by philip greenberg

  • thank you! i had not noticed that...

  • Excellent! I take the same tempo, and everyone tells me that it's too fast. It's nice to see somone else take a bright tempo. Musical and classy. Bravo!

  • i have to play this at a consert soon, after playing all three movements your fingers feel like they're gonna fall off. ^_^

  • I love this piece

  • I have a sudden urge to join an orchestra just so I can watch the conductor. I'm getting a reading... "Tim Allen in a wig. With a baton."

In all seriousness, though, great piece!

  • sempre bello!!!!Is allways beatifull!

  • you can write K. or KV, that stands for Köchel-Verzeichnis ...

    i love this piece :)

  • no it isn't, but lovely anyway :D

  • Yes, it is K136 (or KV136), but it is third part of this Divertimento - Presto. First part, Allegro is quite similar. :)

  • is this really K 136??

  • this is the 3rd Mov. of K136

  • my bad, ur right.

  • The name of the ensemble is at the end - performed by the South German Chamber Philharmonic, and they are great!

  • Great! One of my favourite pieces! other favourites are KV137,138... Thanks!

  • How come a lot of people these days are identifying Mozart's pieces by numbers preceded by 'KV' instead of just K for Koechel? What does the V mean?

  • Hi,apologise... it is my mistake....shold be only K.136, 137 and 138. my apology

  • Verzeichness, German for catalog

  • wow... beautiful, elegance, astounding... i guess no other words are worthy to describe Mozart's piece of work
