  • had a 65 pickup that blew the doors off anything. dont even know what size of motor it had but could be the 345 but i think it was 502 or something like that Anybuddy know?

  • @shadyscott1 probably the 392

  • @FarmallDoctor thanks for clearing that up for me.I just remember streetracing anyone who thought that it was an old farm truck then seeing them in the rearview mirror lol

  • @shadyscott1 502 is a Chevy engine.. As Farmal said the 392 was the largest International V8 put in the IH pickups. They did use an AMC 401 V8 as well, but never a factory 502.

  • Is that an IH Hat you have on ?

  • @farmall51 but of course! Glad you like the video

  • Id like to see more video on this engine .....

  • Now that would look Nice all painted up at a show on display ....

  • Sweet. What did you get it for. Mine sounded just like that when we cut the pipes off . Mines a 304 IH in a 78 scout

  • Smooth as silk !!

  • There's nothing like em

  • Those IH engines were darn good, and have a sound all their own.

  • Donate it to the vapor carb institute.

  • Hauled water as a kid in a International with a 345, a damn good stout gas power plant!

  • That is a great sound. I have 3 of these in Australian inters. I want that as a ringtone!!

  • @acco1840

Love that Inter. V8 exhaust sound too!

The Inter. inline sixes have a beautiful sound too.

  • Love the blue ribbon

  • Can you help me identify an IH Engine...Looks almost exactly like yours. I pulled it out of an early 70's Travelall. The engine has a stamp that says V345E and under it says 1047570. From this information, can you tell me the specifications of the engine I have?

  • @pevans1027 the fellows over at oldihc.org will be able to help you with the specs... unless I can find where I put my spec sheet..hehe. Thanks

  • I am doing the exact same thing with an engine I found in a scrap yard last week. Threw a rod but we will get it going!

  • I understand the 304 and the 345 used the same engine block but the 345 had a longer bore and stroke. Nice engines. I used to drive a '67 IHC 4X4 stake truck with a 304 in it and in the winter I used to plow with it and in 4X4-low you felt like you could plow through a house.

  • @nyshortline actually the bore is the same for a 304 and 345, just different crankshaft. The 392 used the same crank as the 345 but was bored to increase displacement.

  • @GitRdone3454 Interesting. Thanks.

  • @nyshortline no problem, got that info from a guy here in SC who used to sell scouts back in the 70's. (plus i have 2 myself)

  • good ol pabst aaahh

  • for an engine from a scrap pile, that thing sounds awsome. That's an International for you :D
