I've been a fan of Erasure since 2006 when I first heard Oh L'amour on Sirius 22 1st Wave, and this is the first time I've ever heard this song and I gotta say... I LOVE IT!!! Can anyone out there tell me where I can find a copy of this on CD? To the one who put this up on here thank you so very much. Great song, even greater band. Long live Andy & Vince, long live Erasure!
In Argentina this song was a hit after Star, Crown of thorns and Brother & Sister, Supernature reached number 1 on September 1990 in one of the most popular radios in Buenos Aires FM Z95 (it doesn't exist anymore). I wish I could listen more Erasure on the radio.
did you know that Andy was the 43rd person out of 44 that went to the auditions that Vince was doing, he reckons it was because of the umbrella he had with him that got the role
Agreed! You get 111% from these guys. However, @GARY below... I'm confused. The Music Industry in general on both sides of the pond, in fact everywhere, the trend since the mid/late 1980s is for artists to pre-record & lip sync during live performances. Starting with electronic based bands but more so the Dance acts & up to now no genre can escape doing so to some degree. In fact Erasure is an example minus the vox. Clarke doesn't play a lick hardly except for occasional bass lines.
Anyone who has been to an Erasure concert and says that they did not have the time of their lives and were not fully entertained are complete liars!!...This band entertain 100% and sing live!!(American artists take note) FANTASTIC duo !!
creatinmachine You evidently have good taste also.I have been to over 12 concerts performed by Erasure and I have never ever walked away dsiappointed.I have every 12" they have made inc autographed picture discs(and some extremely rare unable to get hold of tracks)They have eased up on the stage productions over the last 7 yeras or so whereas they used to put on THE MOST spectacular shows,(especially the Abbaesque scene)....never the less,Andy Bells voice remains flawless and long may he sing
This song is SO good. This version with Erasure is PERFECT but I would love to hear the version with Lene Lovich. Does anyone know where I could hear that version or could anyone upload that song? Thanks =D
Hey kids, did you know this was once releasead as a special 12" single in an "envelope" wrapping? One of the coolest Erasure releases I thought at the time, it is snappier and punchier on record than in this clip.
My XL12 was missing the envelope when I bought it back then... :( Still a great track, William Orbit's remix on the L12 of You Surround Me is the best!

this song is dope. and as gay as they are, erasure puts alot of spirit and fun into their live acts!
matreyia 4 years ago
@matreyia Andy Bell is gay, Vince Clarke is straight (married with two kids) I don't think gay or straight has anything to do with their music.
