I've successfully installed NetBSD PPC on an iBook. Did need to change some settings in Open Firmware.

I have had no luck installing FreeBSD on a PPC Mac ... Debian GNU/Linux installs well and installs well on a PPC Mac though .

Do you have experience with installing BSD on PPC architecture? I've been trying to install NetBSD/FreeBSD on my Powermac G4's second HDD.
The trickiest part for me is using the Open Firmware.
That's a really informative video. I just might use that later.
