I like most of what Ron Paul says,but I think he's wrong when it comes to Social Security.I know that it's a huge fiscal burden on tax payers but it seems to me there isn't a better system to take care of old people.(The claim that everyone is able to make enough money to pay for their retirement life during their working years just isn't possible for a large percentage of people.)I wish him luck though because he will bring a lot of good points to the debate and if elected would do a fine job.

I love Ron Paul. I love how the interviewer will ask something very basic, and Ron Paul will start going off giving exact reasons for why, and how, then he will inject real talk into this mainstream show.
Nothing against the interviewer, he did good, but it's just so taky looking into the system from the outside after waking up. His questions are so "mainstream', and basic. It's almost like he knows everything RP is saying is true, but he can't admit to it. His career could be ended quickly.

I like most of what Ron Paul says,but I think he's wrong when it comes to Social Security.I know that it's a huge fiscal burden on tax payers but it seems to me there isn't a better system to take care of old people.(The claim that everyone is able to make enough money to pay for their retirement life during their working years just isn't possible for a large percentage of people.)I wish him luck though because he will bring a lot of good points to the debate and if elected would do a fine job.

Ideally that would be the best system... but we don't live in an ideal world and it is my opinion that getting rid of programs like Social Security and Medicare (although I think both programs need a good overhaul) would make the US a worse place to live in the long run.I'm not saying you are wrong, only my opinion.

I am also worried about the dollar, but I think a great nation has the obligation to take care of people who aren't able to (the elderly). There are countries that have strong currencies and also have way more social programs than the US... so to me it is possible.

SO proud of the Good Doctor and his message. I may hate the way he's treated by the media (and members of his own party), but I'm thrilled with the fact that he's getting so much airtime! He's got what it takes, and it's our job to prove it to others so that he gets that nomination! And if the GOP doesn't know what's good for them, I will write him in AGAIN to be my President! his ideas are on point but he needs to learn how to answer concisely and quickly, without going off on a tangent that would confuse most of the constituency. His answer to Gerson's claim should have been, "The laws currently in place having to do with drug abuse and prostitution truly show contempt for the vulnerable and suffering." And he stutters when he gets excited which is a big no-no

@belleroseny Yes, he is a much better writer than speaker, especially when trying to get his message out under such tight time restrictions. But I've personally had enough of 'eloquent' political hacks. Watching Pawlenty and Santorum in the debate made my skin crawl. Ron Paul's earnestness in trying to get his message across accentuates the dire necessity of his brand of 'change' for our country.
