@Otanashi214 In order to use Texmod you must explicitly start GW with it every time you play. Hence, to stop using just don't start GW with it. To remove it just simply delete texmod.exe and the .tpf file you are using.

Just a question. When I try to launch GW with texmod, I get a message from my firewall stating that GW is connecing to file9 arenanetworks (dot) com using a port associated with blizzard. Is this normal? Is this safe?

Just a quick warning, I downloaded Texmod and quite soon after, my (old) computer died due to a graphics card death. I don't know if these two things were directly related but just beware if you have an old computer...

@Goblexter Several programs will fact detect it as a trojan. Texmod uses a process to modify files in the exact same way many common trojans do. It's nothing to worry about. Infact, this happened to me with McAfee, too. I believe I said that in this video. I also believe I said to download at your own risk, so if you're concerned, no one if forcing you to download. Keep in mind this video was uploaded in 2008, things may have changed. I apologize for any inconveniences you may be experiencing.

I have to say i am really impressed with this mod. I am only at 90.9% Tyrian but this will come in realley useful. Here's me thinking i maped all of Shiverpeaks and i see huge spaces in Ice Floe. Can't wait to get the cartography on all continents.

I load up texmod, choose my GW client, choose the cartography mod that I want to use, and it runs guild wars without the Doh error, but when guild wars is loaded up nothing has changed, the maps are still the same. What's going on?

@Hoooopppy depending on your graphics card, sometimes its just a border slightly visible(only if u look hard enough), where theborder surrounds, is where u gotta un-map, another thing you can do is upgrade to a new graphics card, it works for me as im doing cartoapher a second time

This was great...very helpful...thanks. I do have a suggestion though. Maybe you put in the video to make sure that your GW program is not running before you hit the run button on the textmod application. It took me a few times to realize that I had to shut down my GW and restart from the textmod.

Thanks for this m8, for the tutorial and the comments and everything. I was worried to about the whole virus issue. I was getting warnings before even actually running the program. I also get warnings using AVG conflicting with Ad-Aware. However I've checked it over and over and it checks out so, its just iffy, but anyways thanks again. I just have one problem.

When he is telling us to go back to wiki and download the map of the area we are wishing to explore (after texmod is already downloaded), I am having troubles downloading that file. I am using Vista Ultimate and it when I click the start downloading button it asks me to save or open the file using a program and nothing I do seems to open it, Anyone know what is going on?

u don't click the file. you have to open texmod and then next to package name there is a folder icon. you have to click that and then find the file u just downloaded then highlight it and yeah
