nice tank, dark background and bright gravel really brings out colors in fish. have similar thing in my tank, come check it out if you can. like / sub / comment if you like it.
i have a jewel, terror, texas, firemouth, 2xconvicts, 2xkeyholes, 3xsilver sharks, flag, 2xkribs, ballon ram, dwarf cockatoo, 2xopaline gourami, 2xindian gourami, 4xharlequin, 3xneon tetra and 2xplecos. you think i can add some african cichlids? what did you do for the PH level and the salt?
Your tank is awesome! It needs a little more plants or rocks that they can hide in, the more hiding places they have the happier they will be, but still a great aquarium
Nice tank.. water is so clean. I was setting up a 55 too. Was thinking of 2 350 penguins.. think it will do? I like aquaclear too but more pricey. What you think?
I wish I could keep my water that clear year round. Every year around this time i get a huge green algae bloom that will not go away no matter how often I do water changes, clean gravel, or change filters. It usually starts to clear up around may. Any ideas on how i can fix this?
@RKing7789 no ,it's kinda over crowed now...i would upgrade or sell the Oscars if i was you.I only have 4 angels and 2 blood parrots and people think that's pushing the limit...
about 750-800 gph. You should see my other video though, I'm running the same filtration on my 80 gallon. I don't have a need to add a canister filter (don't like them) since I do large water changes.
@jrileydesign plz plz tell me... how much cost per month with heater in fish tank... i have goldfish... but i want to buy 55 gal tank and put some tropical fish in their... plz if u can explain how much can cost monthly...
hey great video the tank could use some more plants you should put a cluster of plants in the back left corner and get a different plant for in the middle great fish tough. You should check out mine
thanks! yes, I actually removed the plant and added more rocks in this tank. Check out my new 80 gallon setup (hand feeding), it's a work in progress...going to take all the current rocks out and put in river rocks.
You probably would not want to keep many african cichlids in a 22 gallon tank since it's pretty small. I would mix some convicts, jack dempseys, and pseudotropheus saulosi. The convicts and dempseys are central/south american but they will be do fine.
is your tank always that clear because no matter what i do there are periods f time when my tank water is really cloudy and then it gets sooo clear. i would really like to know
90% of the time it's clear like this, but it gets cloudy for about a day if I clean my filters. If you look in the top right of my tank, I have a homemade water polisher- it's just a powerhead and a plastic container filled with polyester batting (pillow stuffing). Works really well for getting crystal clear water. Also, you can fill your filter cartridges with polyester batting. I dont buy cartridges anymore, now my filter material costs less than $15-20 a year.
It looks good. All your fish stay healthy? Strange that they can survive since African and South American cichlids live in two very opposity water conditions. In no way am I dissing your tank. If it works, than that's great. They all look really good and your water is so clear.
Yup, they're all healthy and doing great. Have been for the past 3 1/2 years now. The water quality where I live is perfect I guess (Charlotte, NC). They DO get in little fights once in a while right after I feed them, but no fin nipping...just a little chasing and then they quit.
Yo, that big white one with the black stripes, what is that called?
