  • this is not A 55!! SORRY

  • Your tank is awesome! It needs a little more plants or rocks that they can hide in, the more hiding places they have the happier they will be, but still a great aquarium

  • any mating signs in your tank?

  • Great looking tank and love that blue/ blk striped fish. Ty for showing ppl that if done the right way, it is possible to mix SA/CA with Africans.

  • Hey.. why did you get rid of those rocks? I see you switched them for your 80 ?

  • Nice tank.. water is so clean. I was setting up a 55 too. Was thinking of 2 350 penguins.. think it will do? I like aquaclear too but more pricey. What you think?

    Thanks

  • Whats the name of the fish at :21

  • I wish I could keep my water that clear year round. Every year around this time i get a huge green algae bloom that will not go away no matter how often I do water changes, clean gravel, or change filters. It usually starts to clear up around may. Any ideas on how i can fix this?

  • nice tank although a lot of them have chewed/damaged tail fins...

  • @RKing7789 no ,it's kinda over crowed now...i would upgrade or sell the Oscars if i was you.I only have 4 angels and 2 blood parrots and people think that's pushing the limit...

  • 5/5 very freaking nice.

  • nice tank bro what do use as substrate

  • how many gallons per hour are you filtering. thats really clear. i got a 55 and i'm filtering about 660 an hour. it's this clear most of the time.

  • about 750-800 gph. You should see my other video though, I'm running the same filtration on my 80 gallon. I don't have a need to add a canister filter (don't like them) since I do large water changes.

  • @jrileydesign plz plz tell me... how much cost per month with heater in fish tank... i have goldfish... but i want to buy 55 gal tank and put some tropical fish in their... plz if u can explain how much can cost monthly...

  • hey great video the tank could use some more plants you should put a cluster of plants in the back left corner and get a different plant for in the middle great fish tough. You should check out mine

  • thanks! yes, I actually removed the plant and added more rocks in this tank. Check out my new 80 gallon setup (hand feeding), it's a work in progress...going to take all the current rocks out and put in river rocks.

  • hi dere i want to mix ma pink cpnvct babieis wid afrian cichlids plz tell me sme name of cichlids dat i can keep wid dem n i have 22 galon tank

    B.regardz

    (M)F.Z

  • You probably would not want to keep many african cichlids in a 22 gallon tank since it's pretty small. I would mix some convicts, jack dempseys, and pseudotropheus saulosi. The convicts and dempseys are central/south american but they will be do fine.

  • is your tank always that clear because no matter what i do there are periods f time when my tank water is really cloudy and then it gets sooo clear. i would really like to know

  • 90% of the time it's clear like this, but it gets cloudy for about a day if I clean my filters. If you look in the top right of my tank, I have a homemade water polisher- it's just a powerhead and a plastic container filled with polyester batting (pillow stuffing). Works really well for getting crystal clear water. Also, you can fill your filter cartridges with polyester batting. I dont buy cartridges anymore, now my filter material costs less than $15-20 a year.

  • is it possile to mix south american cichlids with african cichlids in the same tank, 6 foot tank?

  • @Cheekstar00 ,,,,,,I do the same thing,,,it's cheaper and works a lot better....check out how clear my tanks are...

  • beautiful cihilid at 0:20 its awesome!

  • Nice, love your aquarium great fish. Tell me what kind of camcorder did you used to record this, great HD quality man, love it.

  • It's a Panasonic ZS3...the best point and shoot camera out there right now. Takes 720p video

  • It looks good. All your fish stay healthy? Strange that they can survive since African and South American cichlids live in two very opposity water conditions. In no way am I dissing your tank. If it works, than that's great. They all look really good and your water is so clear.

  • Yup, they're all healthy and doing great. Have been for the past 3 1/2 years now. The water quality where I live is perfect I guess (Charlotte, NC). They DO get in little fights once in a while right after I feed them, but no fin nipping...just a little chasing and then they quit.

  • those fish are all awesome, how big did you buy them?

  • They were all about 1" when I bought them. Some grew quickly, others not so much :)

  • the same wiff mine, trying to get my flowehorn big tho. i bought it at 3 inches now its 4 1/2 in. and it got this big in 2 months

  • LOL!! Wow, I'm also in Charlotte and I have Africans mixed in w/ a Jack Dempsey and a Fire mouth in my 55 gallon and they do great....so far.

  • how big are they?

  • around 3 inches a peice

  • i had a south and african cichlids mixed and they got along with 1, 5 inch oscar

  • so pretty

  • nice tank and fish but aprox how much cichlids you got in there ?

  • about 14.

  • beautiful....what kind of Cichlid is the Blue Striped with yellow top fin? I love it.

  • yeah the Africans or Mbuna's are strictly vegetarians so real plants do get eaten. but sweet tank. looks good

  • wut kind of plant?

  • It's not real, my fish always end up tearing real plants apart :(

  • Your tank looks great, very clear, but wo, stunning in in High-Qual. Catch my tank posting uploaded last night & please rate & comment
