  • i wanted to beat the game like you did, but then I took arrow in the knee

  • @crazycurtis -- beat the guards didn't mean takedown. it meant arrive before. try it that way

  • On the xbox version he takes about twice the time to roll between cover.. damn.

  • Big Boss should give u a medal for this :D

  • This is the type of stealth I was looking for I hope there will be more like this in the future.

  • in the room at 11:13 you can simply jump the barrier and fall to the lower level if you're running and beat the guards in to the room, then crouch around the backs of the aisles. WAY faster.

  • @aking1012 then this video wouldnt be called "zero takedowns" would it...

  • Maximum Autism

  • Great work thanks for sharing.

  • lol Adam Jensen taking out the people attacking the labs.... BY SNEAKING PAST THEM LOL

  • Very nice to see other people appreciate the "perfection" of Stealth. I wanted to do something similar with DE:HR but I am still at doing such Walkthroughs for the whole Splinter Cell series and I have the stuttering issues which still need to be adressed. It seems like you have also stuttering issues too? Well, thanks for the video, I really appreaciate it.

  • Cool video. Don't you sacrafice a lot of exp be though by not taking them down non-lethally?

  • @nateedubs I thought so, too, but honestly, because I've been far more diligent about exploring this time around, I have way more XP than I could ever want or need. It's nuts. I also have a better sense of what abilities to get, which helps. I didn't waste points in takedown batteries, recharge rate, double-takedown or radar range, for example.

  • @goliathvt Yeah, I got all those things on my current and first play through, won't be doing that again!

  • Intro = Impressed

    Stealth concept = Impressed

Appreciation of Gameplay elements = Impressed

Honestly, loved your conception of stealth as "minimal impact". Takes a whole different direction from the current idea of stealth, which is generally...-QUIET-...weapons.

    Bravo.

  • :( I was hoping there'd be commentary throughout the whole video...

  • @SketchupSchool I don't want to constantly talk as I somewhat appreciate the silence... adds to the stealthy atmosphere, in my view. I try to strike a balance and tend to pipe up if I feel something needs to be pointed out from a tutorial perspective.

  • Thanks for doing these! Kudos! For perspective, how long was the video before you edited out the patient observation and waiting moments?

  • @ehcmier Maybe 1 set of full pathing. What you see in the videos is pretty much me learning the guards' movements for the first time since since my other concurrent savegame focuses on close-quarters takedowns/clearing the level so I can read emails and scavenge for e-books to flesh out the backstory.

  • @ehcmier As for full video length... not sure. I didn't keep the original footage as FRAPS at 720p 45 FPS takes up about 4GB per 3 minutes of footage. :)

  • @goliathvt Thanks, understood. B-)

  • Great work, looks like fun :) Hope you can keep it up through the whole game - might give it a try after I complete a regular playthrough.

  • ... come to honor us all with his life preserving presence.

Heya Greased. o/ Good luck with this. If you're really not using cloak I'll be looking forward to you crossing a certain crowded bridge at the end. Gonna be fun if it's possible :D

  • Woo! Good to see a ghost runner here too. I remember the good old days playing Thief trying to ghost levels with clanky marble and steel flooring, relocking doors and replacing the keys. Garrett is such a badass he wears tap dancing shoes while sneaking around.

  • 7:20 Go the other way, far easier path where you can almost just walk your way straight to the door without being noticed.

  • @MysteriousAya i had an issues with the other way. the way he did it was flawless when i did it.

  • @MysteriousAya Yeah, I'm sure there are several safer/easier paths along the way. I tend to ignore them in some cases because it's simply more fun and challenging for me to tip toe around the enemies without them noticing me. :)
