  • which song is the one that sounds like this one but has a different ending

  • "Come on, she might hurt you again!" Oh no, Coraline, she's gonna do something worse than hurt him.

  • Top 11 Characters in Coraline: #11: Coralines real parents. Both. #10: Other Ms. Forcible and Spink #9: Other Bobinsky #8: Other Father #7: Real Ms. Forcible and Spink. #6: Real Bobinsky #5: Ghost Children #4: Wy(were you)Borne #3: Other Wyborne #2: Coraline #1: Bedlum (AKA Other Mother)
  • seriously guys, Henry Selick directed this movie!!

  • the other mothers name is bellam but you can call her other mother

  • @Luigiplushfan I think you made a typo. The ghost children called her "beldam" not "bellam."

  • At the beginning the loud BANG made me jump ^-^

  • Why do you think the other Mother is confused at the end of your dream?

  • Tim Burton is a genius.

  • @bekii6 actually it wasnt tim burton, dont worry, i luv his movies too and i thought this was one of his, but its not. its by the same director (the one who did the stop and motion) who did the nightmare before christmas (tim burton produced and created the tnbc, but it was directed by the same dude who did this movie). and the storyline of coraline is based off a novel created by some gaiman dude too. i know im not good in explaining but its best to reserch the net :)

  • @bekii6 Uh... you do know that Tim Burton had nothing to do with this movie, right? It was Henry Selick, and the music was done by Bruno Coulais.

Tim Burton and Henry Selick worked together on The Nightmare Before Christmas, but they didn't for Coraline. Lots of people mistake it for that, though.

  • I had a dream about being Coraline but mom woke me up right after I left rugrats rapids and headed to Coraline cafe

  • World of goo?

  • @lazicful Must admit I thought that in parts of this song XD

  • Well okay correction, this was A LOT more creepy than Nightmare Before Xmas, but it didn't like, keep me awake in fear or anything. Although I could definately understand why other people would. O.o Maybe I'm just really brave? hahah x]

  • I watched this with my neices around the time it came out on dvd and my younger neice was like eight at the time. The movie scared the crap out of her and gave her nightmares! I personally didn't really think it was all that scary; more entertaining than anything else. Kind of like Nightmare Before Xmas but a little more creepy. It's very interesting. :]

  • @FallenAngel5613 IN THE UK ITS A PG LOL

  • Why does everyone say this movie was not scarey? Thats my question, I was creeped out for days aftarwards and still am when ever I hear the music, And it wasn't for kids... the book I mean, it was for teens

  • @FallenAngel5613 I really want 2 read the book :(

  • C'mon, she might hurt you again! *Wybie shakes his head, takes his glove off, and blows at his hand which blows away like dust*

  • One time i had a dream that was very similler to this but i was on a ship.. n there was a small door i would open to n it was like that world.... Wow this movie is soooo creepy i would LOVE to be coraline!!!

  • I've been having dreams about going to my old house, there'd be a small door in the closet wall leading to another bedroom (in reality it would lead to the stairs leading to my room) and at the other side of the room were stairs going down. They lead to a balcony over a large room (like in a mansion) and there are so many beautiful wonders and mysteries there that I just want to stay and figure them all out.

Then I watch this movie and think "Thank God there are never any people in my world!"

  • thubs up if u FREAKEN LOVE THIS MOVIE AND U THINK ITS THE SCARIEST KIDS MOVIE i think it is beccause first of all the other mother scares me ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE Coraline! It's my favorite movie. <3

  • 3 people will get ☻'s for eyes.. or turn into a doll.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah kinda creepy but... so... so... en-entrancing... i... i like it. not just that..... O_O its in my head argh

  • Coraline: Let's go!

Wybie: *holds up index finger* Let me finish my soda, Queen Panic.

  • Cat: There's something you should know about me. I specialize in a very specific type of security. Subconscious security.

    Coraline: You're talking about dreams?

    @0:28

  • @TheDSil GREAT QUOTE! (And constatation!)

  • I jumped when Wybie grabbed her from the room XD

  • i love this movie!

  • you know what i like about this movie she does all the heroic stuff at the end in her pyjamas so its gives of this vibe of "childish realism" type thing

  • The first time I read the book, I got so freaked out that I wouldn't ever leave my bed at nightime at all, not even for the toilet...

  • I love this movie

  • @hobypop me toos

  • Whenever I listen to this song, I always imagine the scene in which Coraline runs through the tunnel. You can just feel the adrenalin as she runs faster, and faster.

  • The music from this movie is probably the ONLY music that is as good as Danny Elfmans. Altough that's why I think :d

  • "Your wrong Coraline... Now you are going to stay here.. Forever!"

    "No. I'm. NOT!"

    [Throws cat at Beldam]

  • B: Coraline?! Is that you?! (00:30)

    C: Let's go!

(C and W open door, and tunnel is rotten and dried out)

    B: Coraline?!

C: Come on! She'll hurt you aagin!

W: *shakes head* *blows sand out of glove*

    B: CORALINE!

W: *Pushes Coraline in the door and shuts it* (00:50)

C: *runs through tunnel to safety* (00:52-1:05)

  • @rawrimamagicaldino just reenacted that. :)

  • "I'm leaving, robots, and I'm not coming back.....!"

Coraline is AMAZING! Thanks for posting this!

  • Omg i freaked out when she takes off the mask and wybies face was messed up. The music for that moment was bone-chilling.

  • I love love love Coraline.

    And her blue hair.

    :D

  • (☻,☻) Be Careful What You Wish For....

  • I like the part where the other mother screams AHHHHHH!!! DON'T LEAVE ME DON'T LEAVE ME!!! I'LL DIE WITHOUT YOU!!!!

  • Me too! I thought it was a very gutsy, deliberate choice of the writers (Selick and Gaiman?) to put that in. One of the reasons why Coraline is such a great movie to show your kids is that it doesn't dumb down the (frightening) message that what other people may call "love" isn't always what's healthiest for them. Especially for young girls exposed to the Twilight phenomenon of romance, this message can actually be a matter of life or death...

  • @AutumnDevi I applaud you for your brilliance and wisdom of truly stating what this movie's message is.

  • @AutumnDevi You my dear are epic win and entirely correct on the Twilight situation.

  • @AutumnDevi sigh... I wish some would see that life is about love... not boyfriends.

  • Favorite Part #1:

(Coraline pins ☻Wybie to the wall and removes his chicken mask)

Coraline: Wybie?! ... Did she do this to you?

(☻Wybie nods and Coraline removes the thread from his face)

Coraline: I hope that feels better.

(☻Wybie motions for Coraline to be quiet and leads her to the door)

(Coraline and ☻Wybie push the giant beatle out of the way)

    ☻Mother: Coraline? Is that you?!

Coraline: Let's go! ... Come on! She'll hurt you again!

  • (☻Wybie shakes his head and takes his glove off, blowing the sand-filler away)

    (Coraline stares in horror)

☻Mother: (her long legs are speed-walking down the stairs) Coraline?! How dare you disobey your MOTHER!

(☻Wybie pushes Coraline into the tunnel which is now filled with cobwebs and the remains of the ghost children, and shuts the door)

    Coraline: ... Goodbye, Wybie.

(Coraline crawls quickly back to the real world and shuts and locks the little door)

    Coraline: ... I'M HOME!

  • Poor Other Wybie :'(

  • Wow, this is 1 of the Coolest/Scariest parts in the movie! it rly reminds me of the creepy smile pinned and sewed on the OW's Face... ☻_☻

  • this shoud have hapend in the movie:

    C:goodbye wybie ill miss you

    (coraline hugs other wybie)

    OW:bye

    C:YOU CAN TALK!!!!!

  • (☻_☻) B Careful Wat U Wish 4!

  • the people were staring at u but they had buttions eyes thats scary

  • mmm yes....of course

  • XDXD, Jesus, they can't watch Spongebob? SPONGEBOB?!? XDXDXD

  • ROFLMAO, Holy Water? really?

    Sorry, but that's funny XDXD

  • The day before I found out about this movie I had a weird dream about running through a house similar to my own, as the world fell apart into eerie whiteness, almost exactly like in the movie. Even more freaky, my mother was chasing me, but she had buttons for eyes. I hadnt read the book in four years. THen I found out about the movie and was like, "OH MY GOSH!!!"

  • woah, freaky, that happens to me almost once a week

  • @TendancyToFloatAway that's creepy. ever since i saw the movie, button randomly drop out of the sky and land in front of me.

  • @TendancyToFloatAway same here lol :P but instead of the other moher my aunt was my mother lawl

  • @TendancyToFloatAway OMG! i can't believe that! You had a vision about the near future in your dreams, it's rare...

  • @TendancyToFloatAway Funny, that sounds just like a dream I had when I was younger, maybe when I was around 8 or 9, and I had a nightmare about someone turning into a rabbit monster and then a few years later, I saw Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and realized it was my nightmare come back to haunt me!

  • @TendancyToFloatAway

    omg creepy O.O

  • @TendancyToFloatAway That's really really REALLY creepy... O.o

  • Coraline: "Wybie? There, I hope that feels bet-"

    Other Wybie: "Shh!"

    Coraline: "Let's go!"

Other Mother: "Coraline? Is that you?"

C:"Come on! She'll hurt you again!"

Other Wybie: *nods no takes off glove and blows hand away into dust.*

Other Mother: "Coraline?! How dare you disobey your mother!"

OW:*shoves Coraline into the secret passage and shuts the door.*

    OM: "Coraline?!"

  • thats cool you should do that for the whole soundtrack...have you?

  • almost, i'm workin on it. i've done it for most of 'em

  • ugh, it is so creepy when Wybie is all stitched up. and before that happens, when they come back from Forcible and Spink's show and Wybie isn't smiling and the other mother pulls a smile and looks at him threateningly and then walks back inside. ugh, CREEPER!!

  • my brother jumped when he saw the other wybie's face stitched up into an eerie smile.

  • He was made of Sawdust?

  • I'm so glad that I forgot about the other mother "fixing" Wybie after seeing the movie in theaters. It was fun getting a jump out of this scene watching it on DVD again. *lol*

    O_O

  • This movie has one of the biggest theme changes ever

  • The poor other father and the other wybie......

I felt bad for them having to die.

  • I have watched Coraline a total of 43 times now, and every single time I watch it, I feel so bad for him...

  • who else thought this was the scariest kids movie ever made!?

  • Me!

  • @ronald072 me

  • @ronald072 i did and im bloody 17!! and it managed to scare me!!

  • @ronald072 it was scary and very interesting

  • @ronald072 no 9 was

  • @ronald072 ME!!!!!!

  • @ronald072 Not scary at all. I loved it. That and the Nightmare Before Christmas too haha

  • @ronald072 I've had worse.

  • @ronald072 hell yeah, they should have used actual people and not made it a kids movie

  • @ronald072 This comes pretty close to 9.

9 showed a burnt, dead, body, and the apocalypse.

  • @ronald072 i did me and my 28 year old sister watched it i was so scared. im 18 by the way

  • @ronald072 Omg I'm thumb up number 100! =D

  • @ronald072

I don't really think this was a kid's movie. the book was intended for kids ages 10-15 or so. people assume that just because a movie is animated it's for kids. This was not. just sayin'.

  • @ronald072 U think this is a scary kids movie try watching The Hole 3D

  • @ronald072 the most scariest?? not really...christmas carol 3D is...damn .___.

  • Touching, he risked his life to save hers.

  • i love this film but its quite freaky when the hands go through the mirror :( and the mask comes of i really liked whyby sorry i dont know how to spell lol.... have any of u met this freaky guy who is obsessed with coraline?

  • At 1st, when I saw Other Wybie wearing that chicken mask, I was faintly amused by it. But seeing the 'smile' the Other Mother sew on his face fixed that, kinda scared me. The way he covered his face, reminded me of the phantom of the opera, somehow. Found it sweet of Coraline to unstitch that smile. When Other Wybie removed his glove and blew away the sawdust that made up his hand, it was an effective way of saying "No, I can't go, because I don't belong in the real world." Poor little guy.

  • Poor guy indeed. At least she had someone on her side in the other world who tried to help her though, right?

  • Yeah, at least he died a noble death.

"...he died as the only one who did the right thing..." (Peter Parker, Spiderman 2)

Sorry about quoting that, but I found it pretty accurate of Other Wybie's fate.

And a funny thing, if the Other Mother's sights had been set on Wybie, who would've thought he'd end up with his own grandma's missing sister's ghost?

  • her other father helped her too, so wyborn wasn't the only person who "did the right thing." and her other father died doing the right thing, too.

  • Well, I guess if you count telling of how he shares the other Mother's strengh, how she sew Wybie's mouth shut, and giving that ghost eye.

  • Sawdust huh? Always wondered what that was exactly. That's what they're all made of, huh?

  • Well, I hear that's what some dolls can be made of. And I don't know how I stumbled upon that answer, but I guess it just came to me.

  • ahh the part at 0:49 and onwards is so thrilling really gives you the feeling of being chased! whenever i hear that part all I can picture is other mother coming down the stairs and other wybie pushing coraline in the tunnel. poor wybie T_T

  • I felt so sorry for Other Wybie too. What he did was take off his glove and blew away the sandust to show Coraline he was not real, and so it would not be right for him to leave the other world. I almost cried when I saw his expression when he shoved Coraline through the door though. He looked like he was saying sorry for making her go without him.

  • I couldn't help but cry at this part, Other Wybie made the right decision but died in the process...Poor guy, he was so trust worthy and brave.

  • Yeah... I tend to remember EVERYTHING from a movie I like. (not in the greatest detail but still xD)

  • Didn't he turn to dust and weren't it just his clothes hanging on Bobinsky's flagpole/roof? I remember a part where Other Wybie takes one of his gloves off and blows his hand(that exists of nothing but sand/dust) off to show Coraline he's falling apart.

  • he was.poor guy

  • Black cat is interesting and also nice. He helped Coraline to know about the real other worlds face which Beldam was hidding from Coraline.

  • have a friend who is 14 who got scared of this movie =D

  • Iam 18 and some parts freaked me out XD there were kids sitting next to me and my friend and I could tell they were shocked by some scenes

  • What part of the movie is this theme song played in?

  • When Other Wybie is helping Coraline escape the Other World.

  • I think its when the house and the environment in the other world is falling apart and Coraline tells the cat to jump in her bag, then she runs inside the house

  • OMG

  • God I watched this with my boyfriend and i was freakin scared! He was like god chillax. But he held my hand anyway ha!

  • wats wrong with u,so my bro is a teen and he gets freaked out at this too.some people are freaked out some people arent.cool it already

  • >=[

  • Dl srsly

  • go f*** your self.

  • *yaaaawn* I don't get you people. Nor do I really care to.

  • ok.idrc

  • Nope, but you obviously have the maturity of one! Kudos on that ^.^

  • i love 0:50 and afterwards, it's magical and scary at the same time.

  • Strange, my mother played this song on my CD player in the morning and it soothes me.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH is all i can say!

  • Oh God 0:08 I imagined Other Wybie's pinned smile and I shivered. Not a pleasant music piece

  • I just tried to imagine that and it was scary hhHAh

  • Not a happy thought, really.

  • oh ya thanks for giving me that thought... lol

  • Heheh, sorry. But it's pretty much carved in your mind when you first see it. xP

  • scarred for life now xd

  • LOL Sorry! xP I'm sure everyone who commented here is scared for life too. xD

  • I love this kind of music

  • It was creepy when he blew his fingers into dust (Wybie).

I love the Cat! And Other Wybie is so adorable!

  • i thought it was so sad whenever she shut the door on other wybie. . . i no she had to but still tha was sad!

  • Actually, the Other Wybie shut the door so Coraline could go home.

  • Even so, the door was still shut with Wybie left behind. My main problem with that was because I was so scared of what the other mother would do to him.

  • You know I love you...

  • You know I love you Coraline.....

    *shudders*

    Ack! That was creepy

  • I love this scene. Probably my favorite one!!

Go Coraline! The Other Mother's gonna get you!! :(((

  • WHY did I decide to listen to this in the dark?!?!?!?

    O___O

  • I KNO! it scared the crap outta me, the sun isn't even out yet! I mean the song is awesome, it's just not something i wanna hear at 5 in the morning lol

  • why not? I like to listen this kind of music in that time.

  • first of all i'm afraid of the dark, second, my mom is asleep and thats just like being home alone and third i think someone is gonna jump out of the shadows and stab me -.-;

  • This was my favorite part in the movie!!!

When you keep hearing the Other Mother yell, "Coraline!"

I was this close to literally screaming, "GO CORALINE!" in the theater.

    Best scene ever!!

  • haha lol. did ppl like uk at u n stuff n "shh" at u n stuff?

  • I remember this song.. I felt so bad for Other Wybie. T_T I teared up when I saw it the second time.

    Good song though. =D

  • No wait this is when the Other Wybie helps her escape. lol Saw it again for the 3rd time

  • Me too. I saw this movie 3 times, and it's so great! I hate those reviews that said it was unfit for children. It had one or two scenes like that! Anyway, 5/5

  • Well, I would say a children like 7 and younger shouldn't see see it. I got sacred at that part with the taffy monster. My heart was pounding lol. When I first saw the Other Wybie's pinned smile I jumped a little his face was so creepy. The Other Mother's true form was scary and creepy. My friend said that the hand scared her the most. That part wasn't scary it was just do thrilling, like a rollercoster. lol

  • True that. xD

  • eeeeek scaaaaaaaaaaary. !!!!

  • No it is the part when she runs up to her room after her Other parents want to sew buttons on her eyes

  • No, this is when Wybie helps her. )=(

  • tis is the part where other wybie helps coraline escape. right?

  • That's what I'm thinking... theres that sense of urgency in the track... so creepy... and this coming from a 19 year old.
