  • awesome bike.i have a question,i have a 2000 honda xr100r and im going to buy a 120cc BBR big bore kit for it and i was wondering if i should buy a bigger carb for it or if i should just buy bigger jets and where i could get those jets. thanks

  • @sportsathority1 nahh just buy a yz 125 or kx 125 instead u will be better off just buying a race bike and ride that youll have so much fun on it i have a 01 cr 125 i love it ill take it to the track sometimes and its just so fun

  • What sylinderhead you have?

  • love that bike dude!! got a question for you (seen lots of your vids) ive got a 1973 honda ct70H. looking for a nice comfortable top speed cruiser. would i be better off just getting an 88cc cylinder kit, or also getting a 52mm stroker crank with the 88cc kit? starting to think the 88cc cylinder will be enough. i dont want an aftermarket carb OR exhaust!!! just more torque!! how big of a jet do you think the original carb needs to support the 88 kit?? btw, original 70 head... any help awesome!TY

  • With the setup you listed, you'll be able to cruise at 45 or 50 with gearing. I'd suggest getting the race head and 20mm carb also. It's worth it. As for jetting, I suck at it. Sorry, but you'll have to figure that out on your own.

  • that thing sounds nice, i noticed the pressure vent hose on the valve cap, does that help any, i couldnt see where it would

  • There is debate over whether it actually does anything. I believe that it allows the motor to gain and drop revs quicker because of less pressure buildup in the motor. For $25 I don't think it's much of an issue if it doesn't do anything. Do whatever makes you happy.

  • i was just wondering if you found it was any big improvement, ill do it to my 50 if it helps

  • I installed it at the same time as the 108 and the IRK so I have no idea.

  • ahh i see, what makes the bike rev so high and fast, compared to stock bikes that bog like that, my little cousin has a 50, and im trying to find a way to eliminate the bog, he races the 50 fourstroke class, and im only experienced with 2 strokes and racing 4 strokes, dont know much about trail bikes

  • very nice. Ive just started stripping my 1985 model. Not been touched in 5 years. Danm its going to be exspensive but worth it. Sadly my tank has some pretty bad dint. I love yours. Nice keeping it alive :)

  • how fast does it go??? surely not like more than 40mph

  • I have a 70cc bike that will just touch 55mph and that's with a stock 50cc head. This bike will probably touch 65mph with gearing but it's geared for the track so I'd guess that 40mph is about right. This bike is back to 88cc now though, the 108 was too much power for the clutch to handle.

  • how much did it all cost??? looks nice =]

  • A few thousand. Don't have an exact total.

  • is that us dollars??? or gb pounds?

  • Dollars.

  • Just wondering, Why would you spen thousands of dollors on a little bike? Just buy a big bike like 250 or 450

  • If you have to ask, you'll never understand. It's just what I like. Everybody has their hobbies.

  • 50 are more fun than any other bike

  • i have a 79 z50 with a ct-70 front end so we can use the 3.5 by 8 tire, xr 75 swingarm as well, heres the kicker those kitaco shocks are too soft, we run honda cb550k shocks and they are beastial. pretty bike though

  • whats on the bar? looks like a speedometer/odometer if so what brand and where did you get it.

  • It's just a speedometer for a bicycle. Get it from any sporting goods store.

  • what does the catch can do and how do you make it

  • It catches gas from the carb vent/overflow. It's just a bottle that some 2 stroke oil came in.

  • lol at video description

  • i had an 87 z5o when iwas 9 with a big gun, god i miss that thing

  • how do you like the sp-5s. I'm thinking of getting them for my 04 crf50 for some mx track racin di they need stiffer settings or r they good?

  • I think they are great the way they come. You might want to add thicker oil and the seals are junk. Replace them with CRF70 seals when they blow.

  • ok thanks

my 1984 z50r runs great i was just riding it today but the only thing is it doesnt look pretty like yours do and everythings stock on mine so thats why i wana get that pipe cuz it souns sick

  • and by the way how much did that pipe cost and where did u get it cuz im thinking about buying one of ebay

  • PC sells it for $264. I got it for $230 from Dennis Kirk so it's a much better deal. Go to Dennis Kirk's website and search 4H79050 on the right side.

  • THAT IS SOO NICE

  • i sorta modeled my bike after yours. please tell me what you think

  • what size carburetor are you using for your 108? some people have told me the 26mm, that comes with the kit, is too big for a 108

  • I'm using a 24mm. Seems to work good. I haven't taken it out on a track yet. You can also run a 20mm for more low end if you are riding trails or a tight track. I chose the 24 because it was the cheapest option.

  • Very nice. Very clean. It sure will look good out on the track embarrassing newer machinery!

  • where could i get one of those speedometer things that is on your handle bar

  • It's just a cyclometer for a bicycle. Any good bike shop should have a selection of them.

  • r u saying that the takegawa 5 speed isnt for racing, if so you r retarded, and r u trying to say you can get a stock transmission up too 110 km if so you r retarded, the 5 speed is designed for racing. look up takegawa 5 speed drag race.

  • A stock transmission can go just as fast as a Takegawa 5 speed. As long as the overall ratio from the motor to the wheels is the same the bike will go the same speed. The reason for having more gears is to keep the engine in the powerband. A 3 speed would let the RPM's drop more each shift and the motor would lug in the low revs a bit but if the overall ratio is the same then the bike will go the same speed. Acceleration, however, will suffer from using a stock tranny because the wide spacing.

  • As for racing, I mean constant on and off throttle, hard braking and abusive downshifts, not drag racing in a straight line which puts far less stress on a tranny than does REAL racing. The 5 speed would be good for drag racing because the close gear ratios would allow for a very small RPM drop thus keeping the engine in the powerband. Acceleration is helped by more gears, speed is governed by the final ratio from the motor to the wheels.

  • not weak, 110kmh down any street, i can smoke my tire off in every gear. i can actually get it up to 120 some times, wheelies in every gear, the 5 speed is good for everything you do and more, trust me iv had 3 speed 4 speed trannys in my day nothing compares to takegawa

  • For street I'm sure it would hold up. But in a racing application, I can't be sure. Top speed depends on the overall ratio. Even the stock tranny can be made to go that fast if I have the same overall ratio.

  • now all you need is takegawa 5 speed tranny

  • I find my 4 speed is good for what I do. The 5 speed tranny might be weak because the gears are thinner.

  • Nice job! Sounds great! Hope you get some track days in. I ride and race mini motos, but a want a mini motard badly. You've insipired me, so hopefully I can a decent Z50 to build.

  • OH, where did you get that Planetminis cam cover? Also whats your username on PM?

  • As stated in the video, it is custom painted. I printed the logo on sticky paper, stuck it on the cover, cut it out like a stencil with an x-acto knife, then painted with high temp spray paint. It is just a stock Honda cover under the paint. My PM username is arlindsay1992.

  • Ohh.. i thought you meant you had it done for you or something. I Just leave my cam cover polished but soon i might paint it plus the head cover.

  • by the way, how much better is a 108 compared to a 88?

  • So much more torque and power. I can pull wheelies in first, second, and third gears just by rolling on the throttle. This is with a 4 inch extended swingarm. It still pulls super hard in fourth gear. The 88 kit only wheelied in first.

  • Gah.. now i'm thinking i should save up and get a 108..

  • honestly a 3 valve SDG 107, would fly right past a 108 like this... i've seen them goin' on ebay for about $200, that'll prolly be a better buy for u bro.

  • Nice! I wish i lived in the country... i have nowhere to ride cause if i did i could get a new pipe.. but with my little brother and all he likes to cruise around the neighborhoods... ugh.

  • I wish I lived in the country too. This is just a nice view of my backyard, but I'm really in a neighborhood full of houses.

  • Yeah, i know. I really want to get a new pipe though and have it loud and race at my local track. NNeed a helmet though.. lol ive been using a crappy wal-mart full face bmx helmet.

  • Hey man, whatever works. I've used the same $70 streetbike helmet since I was 12. I'm 16 now BTW. It's a bit tight.

  • make some riding vids

  • I can't ride it around home. Honestly If I go over 1/8 throttle, it's too loud. I am barely ever able to open it up. Hopefully, I'll be able to ride at some race tracks this summer/fall.

  • Cant wait to see whats its like going, always wanted too see a good video of the Tb 108 or 117 RH going
