  • I love this scene from the movie, but damn I wish there was a video of Michael actually doing it. Unfortunately, no such thing. ): It would have been beautiful to see him sing this.

  • i love michael jackson and the sound of music but i don't remember this song in the movie. whatever.

  • S/O to my sista, Jennifer Laws, we have climbed every mountain...and we found our dream!!! Thank God!!

  • @mhhhhhelmem its title on the video sherlock

  • Pretty sure thats Jason Weaver singing

  • @MYTMIC YOU ARE 100 PERCENT RIGHT

  • @MYTMIC sounds right to me...

  • @MYTMIC No Jason weaver didn't start singing until they signed on with motown in this movie. Plus this is the voice of an 6 or 7 year old. Weaver was already 14 when they did this movie

  • @MYTMIC That's Alex Burrall, Jason played him next

  • @MYTMIC Supposedly, it's really Michael's recording voice when he was 5.

  • XXDDD "Fart every stream." xx''''DD

  • @MikeyJLove4EVER "ford every stream" not fart....lol

  • <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • luv thisss

  • Im not hating, i love the song, but i think that kid is a bad lip sync! Sorry if i offended anyone. -Markeisha Pope

  • Did he say ' Fart every stream " at :31

  • i just love his lil woodchuck teeth he is so cute :D..i saw his recent pics i think he's in his late 20s early 30s and he's still cute

  • did he actually sing this song or is he lipsinging off of someone else?

  • did he actually sing this song or is he lipsinging?

  • LittleCuteBillieJean, no, it's Alex Burrall.

  • This is only minimally better than Christina Aguilera's butchering rendition of it. Its setting in the film is an example of loving counsel given to a spiritual daughter figure (Maria) by an older, wiser mother figure (Mother Superior). For me, it is unnatural to hear a male voice sing this. There are some songs that have this distinction for exactly this reason. It is wisdom and discretion to understand the context of the song, and then determine if it can be performed. Don't do it again.

  • @morbears Do you know just how trite and ignorant the words "lighten up" make you appear? If you can't handle someone stating their opinion in a open comment format, then go somewhere safe where you won't be so off-put by others. So what if the kid was 5? Shoot whoever picked this for him to sing, if you can't deal with it.

  • @dieselheart001 Wow if you clearly watched the movie and had some history yourself, you would know Michael Jackson himself actually sung this at a school talent show at the age of 8 or 9. Please dont disrespect it.

  • @janedamear Yes. I DID watch the movie. And yes, MJ did sing this at 5 yrs. Your point? I stated my opinion on the performance, and succinctly why. In the movie or stage production of "Sound Of Music" this is performed by an older woman as counsel to a younger woman. I disagreed with it being performed by a male. And I certainly disagree with Xtina's disgusting caterwauling. This was performed out of context by an inappropriate performer. Dirt simple. Disrespect? Nope. Get over it.

  • @dieselheart001 Lmao "Ben" would have been a better choice? How the hell could he have performed that when him and his brothers were not yet discovered and on top of that "Ben" was written specifically for him. So therefore your point is invalid, which is more so PAINFULLY OBVIOUS you dont understand the context and setting of it. Im not gonna entertain you anymore, get your facts straight simple as that. Good day.

  • @janedamear That's exactly the point. They weren't "discovered", and "Ben" wouldn't have been performed. What is painfully obvious is that you don't grasp irony. I doubt you can anyway. So far you are demonstrating- quite disappointingly- perfectly linear thought, which indicates that you have absolutely no grasp of anything bordering on intangible. That, and you are trite, boring; and a cunt. So, get something that could be construed as a "life" and have an adequate day.

  • @dieselheart001 Im a trite, boring, and a cunt? For having a simple debate with you? Right. If im so boring why are you even bothering to respond to my trite cunt, dont grasp irony, no grasping anything bordering intangible ass? This coming from someone who sounds as incompetent and the least bit complex to grasp his own contradicting remarks in previous comments if you will but yet you have the audacity to try and belittle another for clearly only reiterating what you said? Haha right.

  • @dieselheart001 Actually at the age of 5, and im sure he did a damn good job.

  • @janedamear I'm sure he shouldn't have performed this. "Ben" would have been a better

choice. Or anything else. It's painfully obvious that you don't understand context and setting as it applies to musical performance.

    Michael I Love you !

  • I wonder how Michael Jackson felt about this performance?

  • @truth8809 in an autobiography he wrote he said he was excited about this performance. he was thrilled when teachers were congratulating him. He said he loved looking out in the audience seeing people smiling and cheering for him and giving him a standing ovation was the greatest feeling hes ever known. (book is called Moonwalk)
