  • Dear o0omethvero0o, thank you so much for this kind comment. There are more resources on this work at nickredfern.co.uk if you need further help. Nick

  • Thank you, this is very helpful as I am currently studying English Choral Music in the 20th Century for my A2 Music course.

  • Very useful - thanks so much for your generosity in making these resources available to those of us who aren't your students.

  • @nickibopp Hello and thank you for this kind message. I believe in sharing resources and there are more concerning John Tavener at nickredfern.co.uk if you need further information on the work. Nick

  • the content of the commentary is very informative with a lot of detail (so much detail that many singers of the piece may not know about or even understand some of the terms used) but anyone studying this piece will appreciate the work done.

  • I wouldn't hire the narrator as a babysitter

  • @swirls999 I find it difficult to convey my sense of repulsion by your hurtful and insidious remark. I upload these videos to help my students to revise and you have taken this as an opportunity to vent your own childish bigotry on the world. And we are the same age. Shame on you, whoever you are. Nick

  • @NickRedfernMusic A little humour and and self-distance would definitely help here.

  • Very nice, but why does the narrator sound like he's commentating at a royal funeral? Too annoying to listen all the way through. I'd suggest just talking normally.
