Sure, you could! The toes don't take much abuse, actually, unlike in ballet - ouch!

I found it harder on the toes in the hard shoes at first. The toes when doing it soft really don't hurt. Good slip jig :)...I personally was a fan of the light jig, but it has been so long since I have done any Irish dancing! :)
