Oh and another question... Can I say "He held his own in the competition", meaning that he could keep up with them? Or is it only possible in a sentence like "He could hold his own..."?
@civsation i don't think so cause i think that "hold your peace" is only use when you are telling somebody to shutup while he/she was talking. so i think it's impolite to put a sign that says "please shut up" at a library rather use "please be quite" or "silence please".
Thanks James! That was awesome. I have a question please. I heard that idioms don't last long (you cant use some after a certain time). Is that true? I mean if I know some idioms that I learnt 4 years ago, I cant use them nowdays? Thanks :)
I´d like to know more about the methodology you use it is very important for me to learn more I work as an English teacher in my country.Funny lessons are the best like his one thank you James .
HI James,I watched most of your lectures and I really like the way you teach...You are just great:) I wish you can teach me online .thank you very much.keep up the good work.
I have to get some rest now and try to sleep four hours to be on time for my Job interview tomorrow but it was worth it to spend my time watching James fun lessons. Thks James.

So is "hold your peace" really polite? Could you write "Hold your peace" on a sign in a library, for example?

it is noticiable your English is not good, at least for what you wrote, you HAVE TO say: i wish you were my teacher, tha's all.
