Only very recently have some Christians begun reinterpreting those verses in light of other verses like Genesis 2:15, Leviticus 25:23, and Psalm 24:1 to create the notion of stewardship, but that only demonstrates the questionable value of using such an equivocal collection of ancient texts to justify an ethical philosophy.

At 16:25, Dr. Krippner refers to a biblical dictum of stewardship and says that this idea was subsequently corrupted. He has this exactly backwards. The relevant verses are Genesis 1:26,28 and they portray God as giving humans _dominion_ over the earth and those were exactly the verses used by European colonists to justify the exploitation of natural resources in America and elsewhere.
