When i record couple of voices lets say like 17 tracks, without effects, wen u press play the sound its fine, but after adding some effect to each vocal i cant event ear a thing.. any advise.. im using a good mic, and Tapco LinkUSB 2x2 Interface, i dont have studio speakers jet, im using a hometheater speakers =D would that be the problem? i have ASIO4ALL v2 lates V.

I just selected Stereo recording and it gives you both L/R channels and records on both!

Great Video! Do you know why I can't hear my guitar when I start recording? I can hear all tracks going except the track I'm recording on. ??? I'm using WinXP, SoundBlaster Audigy, Audition 3

You wont hear the track your recording on, as it is only recorded a fraction of second after you have played it!! If your playing acoustic thats not a problem but if your playing electric and want to hear the guitar then you need to split the headphone Output so you have 1 input to your Computer Mic Input and another to some headphones or another speaker so you can hear your guitar. Alternatively your Amp may have a Line Out option which will not mute the Amp Speaker whilst giving you Mic Input

false. you can monitor your track while recording. computers do that. you just have to turn monitoring on. check the help tab in audition.

At 3:24 what kind of lead are you using, seeing it must be double-sided, and can I ask, where did you get it (Ebay?) ?

Its just a basic Phono Out to Mic input lead. Taken from the Headphone Out on the Amp to the Mic Input on the computer. I got it from an audio accessories shop but you can get them on ebay too.

in adobeie if you go usb you have to set it to go  there a inputt and and putt part you have to have it set on both

im using Adobe Audition at the moment for recording live instruments that are plugged into my PC. i can record and playback everything well but the one main problem is that when i go to "Save session as.." i can say it but when i go into my documents and try to open it it says that it cannot find the file and that it isnt supported. also i tried the Mp3 thing to and it still didnt play. can you please please help and comment my page? thanks :)

it works all well by you =P can i ask you a question .. i didnt use that program before today. so i got a zoom g2.1u effect, witch has the direct input into computer over usb. and when i plug it in, i dont know how to record the guitar. i press record button, the line starts to run, but it seems that the program dosen't get any signal in. Do you have a hint or something how you culd help me pleas?

Hey, I have the same effects pedal too but I only use it direct through my amp and so it didnt change the way i recorded as shown on the Vid. I know you can plug USB direct from the pedal but you then need to set your system through windows so that the soundcard uses the USB source as an input. All i can suggest is that you try and look at your configuration and see if you can source the USB input. Sorry can't help more than that. Regards Shaun

i had adobe audition 1.5 and it was great. the 3 version gives reverb and asks for a new sound card.

i can't record with that reverb!!

I find I get static if i use Line In. Mic in seems to record better quality but that might just be my Comp!

Hah Jason I remember the endless questions on set-up, hopefully all is clear now. Yeh the software is expensive, luckily i didnt pay that much for it, but it is a full registered copy to get maximum capability.
