The fact is we DID lower the corporate tax rate, in fact we removed almost all restrictions on business put in place since the depression era. What happened? Companies didn't expand or reinvest, they just pocketed the money. You're talking about Reaganomics, the trickle down theory, where we sit around waiting for crumbs to fall off the table of the upper %1. It didn't work then, it won't work now.

We're simply observing that a 10.8% present doesn't necessarily translate into a 4.5% future, and that "the largest tax cut in American history" had something to do with that translation. I.e., the other number, to include 8 years of such grade school numbers, totaling 18,000,000 NEW JOBS.
Thus, the absence of tax cuts or ANY such relief under Obama, and his hostility toward such, indicates a different translation; a different future.

We're simply observing that a 10.8% present doesn't necessarily translate into a 4.5% future, and that "the largest tax cut in American history" had something to do with that translation. I.e., the other number, to include 8 years of such grade school numbers, totaling 18,000,000 NEW JOBS.
Thus, the absence of tax cuts or ANY such relief under Obama, and his hostility toward such, indicates a different translation; a different future.
