What makes you think it will improve if handled locally? Where is the money going to come from to replace the federal funds? There is nothing stopping anyone right now from giving their kids a better education.
Also he wants to apply the same principle to industry, empowering even more the people that are taking advantage of us now. Without government, unrestrained free markets would enrich the already powerful and greatly increase the number of poor.

I'm not a big fan of using children in political ads, but -
When you consider that we're bogged down in Iraq & Afghanistan, and possibly on the road to attack Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Venezuela (you think I'm making that up I'm not)... Where are the soldiers going to come from needed to keep order? I'm (almost) past the age for forced military duty, my child is not. I fully expect him to be conscripted and I would want him defending America on American soil... not overseas defending Exxon...
