  • No more Worlds to conquer! :( sad!

  • who else recognised the orc chant beginning at 2:10 as a sample from LoTR: The Two Towers? Its taken from the Uruk-Hai chanting when Saruman delivers his "a new power is rising" speech from Orthanc.

  • @rmckim That occured to me, too. However, I think it is a normal orcish battle-chant.

By the way, somehow, the bad audio adds to the effect of the voice.

  • summoning for the silmarillion soundtrack!!!!

  • WARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its Melkor's words to hurin, in the children of hurin book ;)

  • @ThaFrogzz Also in Silmarillion, right?

  • @nazifertilitycult dont give him that honor

    he is morgoth

  • Summoning is great but come on Howard Shore did a great job in a different style. It would be lame to put black metal in a movie like that

  • juuuhuuu summoning <3

  • The lyrics are from The Silmarillion :D

  • @OfficialChokmah yes it is ^^ they are che curse that morghth casts on hùrin and on his family...Awesome book!

  • Vienna is a short 2 hours travel from Budapest, where I live. If the band doesn't finish the new album this year, I'll go to Vienna and kick their ass

  • I love gold!

    And this music!

  • best albums cover are definitely from summoning

  • this might be the most beautifull album cover I have ever seen

  • how can people not like this?

  • Pure epicness, this is the kind of song you listen to and it stays with you all day

  • The chanting sounds like "Burgol-Ashi" which I think would mean something along the lines of "Across the Mist" in black speech. Unless if it were "Ishi" which would be "In the Mist" instead.

  • [Morgoth:] Sit now there, And look out upon the lands Where evil and despair shall come upon those whom thou lovest. Thou hast dared to mock me, and to question the power of Melkor, Master of the fates of Arda. Therefore, with my eyes thou shalt see, And with my ears thou shall hear; And never shalt thou move from this place Until all is fulfilled unto its bitter end... [Orcs:] Lord and Master! Lord and Master! Lord and Master! Lord and Master! Lord and Master! Lord and Master!

  • fucking epic!

  • i just found this music and it's pretty good but i can't make out a single word being said in any of the songs... is there some kind of trick to it? a special magical mind technique where you grow invisible horns and suddenly all becomes clear?

  • @goddecon Yes >:) lol nah you just gotta find lyrics and learn em. Vocals in most genres of metal are utilized more as another instrument to aid the music further if you get what I mean. So vocals being distorted are more important in some genres of metal. But just like the occasional acoustic guitar rather than a distorted one you'll find the same for vocals.

  • Awesome piece of music. A shame about the sound quality of this upload though

  • i love it

  • very Viking is cool

  • avathar is not even near summoning...perhaps elffor-unblessed woods album is closer

  • super :]

  • This i have like an ringing tone

  • this i have like an ringing tone

  • this i have like an ringing tone

  • yep, if i thought summoning was the soundtrack for a movie i would not be into it

  • @xSadistico666x Aslong as they stay true to their style, I don't care.

  • This is one of the songs, that are so great, that one can only seldom listen to them

  • Why Peter Jackson didn't hire Summoning for Lord of the rings soundtrack is beyond me...

  • @BalkanibalX He probably doesn't know about Summoning. Very few does.

At least I'm glad that I discovered their music :)

  • @Destruction3402 thats right

often good music are hidden under some rocks

  • @BalkanibalX Hey, don't hate. Howard shore did an incredible job, you can't deny that.

  • @BalkanibalX Yeah, this is good. But, Howard Shore did amazing. Honestly don't think the movies would have been what they are without his score.

  • @BalkanibalX he wanted BLidn Guardian first, but they denied him saying they had a new project to focu on, so, howard shore it became

  • @BalkanibalX Because summoning is a tad "extreme" for the general populace wouldn't you say?

  • @mopo30 Plenty of their stuff is, but plenty of it isn't. This track - as well as many of their intros / instrumental tracks - are perfect for a soundtrack, I think. Maybe you couldn't just take a Summoning album and throw it on top of "The Hobbit," but if they were hired to write a soundtrack think they'd do it amazingly well.

  • Lord and Master!

  • It's almost a little too epic.

    But anyway, it's fucking great.

  • this song is true awesomeness!

  • TOTALLY EPIC METAL!! is for read the books while you listen Summoning

  • just finished sons of hurin :p great book

  • epic as fuck

  • gratz

  • trying to find similar bands like summoning but keep failing.they are so distinct.i can just imagine tolkien's middle earth as i listen. such atmosphere.

  • try avathar they are like summoning

  • I pick enormous epicness readings with my epicometer.

  • Summoning for The hobbith movie soundtrack !!!

  • Summoning feat Howard Shore,

    that would be great :D

  • great super song love it !

  • i love this song <3

  • Ars longa,vita brevis

  • Great song.

  • This is probably some of the greatest music ever created. Where can I get this album? I'd kill for something like this.

And Melkor is the supreme ruler of Middle-Earth. Even Illuvitar will quake in his might!

  • I always play this song on my long runs when i start to feel like giving up. It sparks an energy inside me to keep going. And i often let out a roar cry when it comes on which makes ppl im running past think im mentally insane.

I LOVE IT. LORD AND MASTER!!!

  • Nah, Eru pwnt his ass :P

  • He lost, get over it.

  • And now this Bauglir theme is, like, taken out of a musical based on Silmarillion.(I wish there was one)

Sheesh, vids based on Summoning are prolly the only ones I want to comment on. ;)

  • So powerful,a great valar and for me the best of all,it has the charisma and the capacity of corrupts any creature on the Middle-Earth and he fight brother and sister with a great dexterity..HE KICK ASS!!:) Melkor all the way!!

  • Bauglir, Morgoth, Melkor, Belegur... feared by all races, and a disturbing name on all tongues.

Dark lord, creator of dragons and black foe of the world.

    I'm never tired of summoning.

  • Hail Sauron lord of the earth ! :)

  • Hail to the pagan world !

  • LORD AND MASTER!

  • Damn, these guys are making music which has atmosphere. Always when i play heroes of might and magic 5,i listen these songs, they fit perfect to it!

  • kool.5*****

  • Summoning is sweet

  • I got it fellas. It's Hurin (son of Galdor, adan of the 3d house) Morgoth is talking to. Hurin was captured alive in the battle of Nirnaeth Arnoediad (the Battle of Countless Tears) by Morgoth and taken prisoner. After Hurin's refusal to give away the secret location of Gondolin (the last standing fortress of the elves) Morgoth chained him and attached to one of Tangorodrim's peaks, cursing him to see and hear every Morgoth's deed ("With my eyes thou shalt see...")

  • I've always wondered whom Melkor is addressing in this song? Might be one of the Silmarillion heroes I don't recall. :/

  • i think he is adressing his servants actually, the name of the song "Bauglir" is a title given to Melkor when he returned to Angband at the beginning of the First Age so it would seem likely... *Yes, i am a nerd*

  • Could be true, actually the pronoun "you" does not imply addressing a single person. It's hard to believe Melkor's servants had "those whom they loved" though. :p

  • good point

  • He indeed adresses one of the Silmarillion's heroes. The name escapes me too, since it's been a long time since I read it.

  • OMG this song owns so much ass. I can almost see a darkened hall where the two are standing, and the still and calm yet deeply powerful voice of the one saying "Master of the fates of Arda" he says it like it's of no doubt. Shit this song is a masterpiece. PS it's LORD AND MASTER

  • Our Lord and Master!

    Lord and Master!

    Lord and Master!

    Lord and Master!

    Lord and Master!

    Lord and Master!

Even though Summoning has many "fans" that don't know who Sammoth is or have never heard of Darkthrone, Summoning IS Black Metal, but now everyone listens to them.

  • are you sure that everyone is listening to them?

I Don't know where you are from, but here, where I live, nearly noone knows them.

  • What I meant is that now that their music is here on youtube it is available for lots of people.

    I'm from Guatemala.

  • Amazing sound. Might've been my favorite track off Oathbound, had it only been longer

  • What a great into to an Amazing album! I'm thinking of ordering a whole bunch of their merch.

    Verg

  • perfect soundtrack for lord of the rings

  • Does anybody know what is being chanted at the end?

  • "lord and master"

  • I make out "Durghbu Nazghu, Durghbu Dashu" (spellig mistakes might occur) which supposedly means "Lord of the Rings, Lord of the Earth" in the tongue of Mordor. I'm not saying that you're wrong, just giving my view on it. Cheers for the vid.

  • i read the lyrics and they say "lord and master"

  • The ones in the booklet or from the net? I don't question that what you say is true, I am just curious as I could swear it's "Durghbu Nazgu..." etc.

  • After I read your comments, I listened closely and it does sound a lot like Durghbu Nazgu etc...

    Verg

  • @DoomMCMV

    now decide it pls:D

  • @MaReekaka what??

  • @DoomMCMV

That 'Lord and Master' is a translation. They actually say "Durghbu Nazghu, Durghbu Dashu". Lord and Master is a translation of it

  • @UndoneFakeJesu But actually Lord and master is more likely because else is in English. And when Melkor ruled there was no Black Speech because Sauron invented it in the Second age.

  • @UndoneFakeJesu Are you sure? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I've read both that Melkor invented it and that Sauron did, but found no mention of it in Silmarillion

  • @UndoneFakeJesu But actually Lord and master is more likely because else is in English. And when Melkor ruled there was no Black Speech because Sauron invented it in the Second age. But it sounds more like that Durghbu thing, except Melkor wasn't lord of the rings

  • @DoomMCMV they cant't be saying lord and master twice because i heat two different frases...i'm going for durghbu nazghu durghbu dashu

  • @alex9x9 i dont remember that much but i dont remember morgoth being lord of rings

  • @nontoxic91 the orcs say this in front of isengard before goning to war against rohan and they say it to saruman but he isn't the lord of the rings either...but i just can't make out lord and master XD

  • @alex9x9 maby its in orchish... :)

  • @DoomMCMV That is what its supposed to say. But seriously. I have listened to this thousands of times and it sounds like the orcs are saying "where gonna bash em, where gonna crash em over and over.

  • @Grotlord that sounds right, but why would they chant Lord of the rings?

  • @MrGarrth No clue, really. Seeing as Bauglir is a name for Morgoth, it doesn't make sense to sing praise to Sauron. I just can't help hearing it like that.

  • this song is REALLY awesome!!!!

  • i love this song, i love summoning. *melts*

  • Fantastic song, beautiful

  • meserias...epic ambiental,poti trai muzica la maxim si fara ragete...atmosfera de basm,hail

  • I love silmarilion;I love J.R.R.Tolkien;I love SuMMoNiNg :(.... awesome track from OaTH BouND

  • Sit now there and look upon the lands where evil and despair come upon those who thou lovest

Melkor, great fantasy villian or GREATEST fantasy villain?

  • Greatest fantasy villian.

  • Thou hast dared to mock me, and to question the power of Melkor, master of the fates of Arda. ^^
