Looks like many of you have been mislead or don't know all the facts. The song was written by John Schumann of Redgum who was not a Vet, but a Marxist communist and made no secret of being a supporter to Communist North Vietnam.

The song did make it publicly known that Agent Orange was causing serious problems as was PTSD. These issues effecting Veterans for too many years was ignored and hidden by our government.
